- The Puma Deviate Nitro 2 is the best plated running shoe I've ever worn. It keeps the bounce in your stride mile after mile. Plated running shoes are a new experience for me. I didn't even know they existed until about a few months ago, but I feel the difference. Check out my writer's review of the Puma Deviate Nitro 2. For all those who are new to running like me, I think you'll find them very different from anything you've ever worn on your feet.

Nice review, sir! I've really been enjoying my Deviate Nitro 2...I actually bought a 2nd pair I enjoy them so much so should have plenty of miles to put in on them 🙂 I feel like mine have gotten a little bit better with each run...they seem to make my runs pretty effortless
I couldn't agree more. I've been working back to my previous long run distances and I've noticed the difference in how they feel now compared to only a couple weeks ago. I've never worn a plated shoe and for me I think there's a bit of a learning curve in understanding how it makes my feet turn over. 2 pairs at once? Nice!
Nice review! Been enjoying mine for a couple of months now, got them for 90€, definitely a bargain 😊 as a pretty new runner it took me a bit to get used to but now I'm loving the long runs and also my tempo stuff with them. Definitely a good entry in the running world!

Awesome you got it on sale! I agree about getting used to them. I went back to them after using the More v4s for a bit and they felt way more comfortable moving at a faster pace. Now it feels like I can run in them regularly without it feeling strange underfoot.

I'm late to getting the puma deviate nitro 2, but they are great pair of running shoes. They fix my 1 main issue from the velocity nitro 2 which is the upper, it was a thick upper which would give me hot spots during the summer. I'm glad I waited because at launch there wasn't any color ways that got me wanting a pair.
Yes, I like the fact that they are so versatile, as well. It can keep up with how you're feeling on the day, particularly ideal for those fartlek workouts.
I tried several brands of running shoes but always had plantar injuries repeatedly, and was able to recover from the plantar and run comfortably until now with Puma running shoes DN2.
I've had a lot of foot issues in the beginning and I had to resort to stability shoes whenever I wasn't 100%. But as I've gotten stronger, I feel like I can really take advantage of the Deviate Nitro 2s. They're a lot of fun, aren't they?
Good afternoon. A single question. I usually wear 10 USA in Pegasus and saucony ride 15. Should I wear the same size in deviate nitro 2? Thanks
If you’re wearing a standard 10 in those shoes, I’d recommend going true to size with the Pumas, as well, which is what I did and they fit great. In any case make sure to find a place that offers free returns. Good luck!
Please tell me Nike Pegasus 39 vs puma deviate nitro 2 which is best?
Unfortunately I have yet to try any of the Pegasus versions. I do think you’ll get a very different ride because the deviate nitro midsole has a plate. I’d venture to guess the Pegasus has a more traditional feel, but other than that I can’t tell you much more.

any good for walking?
Honestly, I don't think I would wear them for going on a walk unless I were in a pinch. The plate is very noticeable and not exactly comfortable to stand on for long period of time.
Is this recommended for😮flat foot?
I don’t know if I would necessarily recommend it for flat feet. Like a lot of carbon plated shoes you can really feel the curved geometry of the sole. That’s said, I don’t have extensive experience anyway. I tend to supinate and so there are times when it takes a mile or two before my foot adapts. Until then the outer edge of my foot gets sore. I think you will have to try it out for yourself. Some places will let you return the shoes even after you’ve tried them on. Let me know how it goes!

I’m not sure what local options are available but I would recommend the Puma website or app. They often have discounts so you could probably get a good deal on them. I hope this helps.
