You’ve won another subscriber. I literally just change the way I play on PC as a controller player a week ago which is using 10 sensitivity and traction on my boots. Some of these tactics I already knew about and some I didn’t. This was extremely helpful!!!!
Great video. Usually these hunter movement videos are the same 2 or 3 techniques, but you showed some new tricks I hadn't really thought of, like the roll dodge off of ledges. Nice work. Every time I watch you or Apa's hunter videos, it reminds me that I'm handicapping myself playing warlock.
Its hard to find alot of tips for console players. I feel like Hunter's ability to shine is hindered on consoles. (5:30 even at max sensitivity idk if a console player could do this) I'm not a great player or anything but yesterday I tried something out and i've been enjoying this. Under controls and button mapping, choose the custom option and do these; 1. Toggle Crouch is right analog single press 2. Finisher and player inspections set to (B) 3. Interactions (Speaking to NPCs and reviving players) set to Left analog push. 4. Dodge ability is also B (I like the single press) This has allowed me to aim while sliding far faster. Aswell as also being much better at aiming while reviving a teammate. I do play at 8-10 sensitivity though.
You were going fast af with the strafe jump roof bounce technique. Were you using stompees that made it even quicker or is it that quick without them ???

@@Apathettic Yes! It's just a video game. But, quitting on my warlock to go to hunter feels like I'm selling out. I know hunters (especially on console where I play) have a distinct advantage. But, I always feel like that guy from the first Matrix movie that just sells out for personal profit.

When you want to improve being a master baiter, observe other master baiters and learn from the best! Might learn a thing or two from seeing their tips!
Marksman’s dodge is still better tho against people who really know what theyre doing. I play on ps4 btw; I did gambler’s dodge but I stopped after the enemy kept sniping me and shotgunning me, mainly because a good part of your body is still stretched out, idk how it’s possible but quick reflexes ig? Either way I dont use the auto-reload perks since I use guns that don’t really have the perk & I like to do emergency reloads mid fight or just before a fight as to “never be out of ammo”. The emergency reloads combined with two marksman dodges works wonders against everyone cus you’re dodging them then shooting the shit out of them and just when they think they’re gonna get the kill, you dodge again and keep shooting them with a new and healthy magazine. I also use triple jump rather than strafe, I guess it’s a console thing but strafe kinda pushes you upwards more than it does forwards and strafe jumping is HORRIBLE at escaping bad situations since it forces you to go in a straight line and it’s often slow. It’s only ever fast if you’re already moving around fast with momentum, so triple jump is my preferred since I have a lot more control over how high I jump and how quick I jump. Also triple jump works with the low ceiling stuff, but you gotta hit a sweet spot most the time. Strafe jumping also has to hit a sweet spot on console. If I need to escape I just triple jump away and when I land I dodge to one side and jump once forward and the last jump is to another side, then I dodge again, essentially making a long box around my enemy which usually allows me to get behind them or above them. The grenades I use alternate between firewall & vortex in Shadowshot class but ultimately it’s up to the player which one feels better. Grenades in game suck unless you’re a warlock or Titan anyways lol. I use top tree Shadowshot, mainly for the invisibility perk. Combine Invis with my ability to double dodge and you got yourself the most elusive sentient trap to ever live, plus it works wonders in PvE cus you can hide from enemies and do emergency reloads & respawns literally 4 times every minute (my mobility is at 100 allowing me to get my dodge back every 11 seconds) and add a paragon mod that turns that 11seconds into an 8 phewwwwwww lol good vid tho yo

Hey, I have a question on this video! First of all I absolutely love all of your D2 content, it is super helpful. I've been playing D2 for about 4 months now. I have ALWAYS used triple jump for Hunter, but I tried strafe jump for a handful of games in Crucible today and it was really hard for me to adjust. I am not a fan. Since Stasis subclass came out though, is there any impact or difference in opinion in using triple jump since you can now shatterdive to quickly descend if you feel you're too high in the air/exposed? So far from my experience I don't feel like strafe jump gives that big of an advantage with moving faster even when using the ceiling momentum technique. Thank you for the really great content and the way you present it. Will definitely be looking forward to all of your vids going forward.
I realize this is a super noob question, but I'd love to see a video on aggressive play, or what to do when you "get there first." As you're talking about getting to a lane before other people or moving fast to get to a gunfight. I find i usually lose when I try to be aggressive. I have more success going to somewhere I expect someone will peek. I'd love aggressive advice.
By getting to the lane first; he means sniper lane. If you post up with your sniper first; you negate the need for snapshot & have the odds in your favor in winning the gunfight when the enemy sniper tries to peek the lane. As for being in thick of it; movement skill, aim skill, & picking your targets are the main points to focus on. Just don't throw yourself mindlessly into a group of enemies. Go play Titan if you want to do that.
I’m not a great pvp player, but I’ve been using that air attack move for a couple months now and it’s given me countless free kills with tarrabah, even a few 1v3s, which kinda make me freak out considering my average kd is like a 1.5

I want to love Hunters, I really do. I mained Hunter all through D1 and D2 until recently when I really sunk my teeth into Titans and found that Hunters just don't *do* anything. I'm a relatively new player so all my time playing Hunter I thought abilities were supposed to be negligible; but only Hunter abilities are. Titans and Warlocks have so much that they can do with their different abilities and Hunters have "u can jump real good lol". Hunter abilities are just boring and unimpressive imo, and I wish they weren't because Hunters look cool af and their mobility is unprecedented. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

I’m not a great pvp player, but I’ve been using that air attack move for a couple months now and it’s given me countless free kills with tarrabah, even a few 1v3s, which kinda make me freak out considering my average kd is like a 1.5

I want to love Hunters, I really do. I mained Hunter all through D1 and D2 until recently when I really sunk my teeth into Titans and found that Hunters just don't *do* anything. I'm a relatively new player so all my time playing Hunter I thought abilities were supposed to be negligible; but only Hunter abilities are. Titans and Warlocks have so much that they can do with their different abilities and Hunters have "u can jump real good lol". Hunter abilities are just boring and unimpressive imo, and I wish they weren't because Hunters look cool af and their mobility is unprecedented. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

@@Unlimited-D-Works I mean, opinions. I just think everything from Melee Abilities to Grenades to Supers are underwhelming and far less potent, especially when compared to the other two classes. and being new has literally nothing to do with my experience of maining Hunter all through D1 and since October in D2. it just hasn't been it for me since I really started to experiment with, say, my Titan, who I found easily became self-sustaining with only a few days of working on her build. with my Hunter, I've yet to find a build that I'm truly happy with.
