These are great tips, but I think another great one, that was unfortunately missed, is familiarity with the sniper. Use it everywhere at first. Take it into pve to get acclimated to the ins and outs. I recommend this for any weapon you wish to master, but especially snipers.
One of the things that make d2 harder to snipe than d1 is how the contours of the map are much more noticeable. All guardians are the same hight, knowing head height when elevation is constantly changing makes the look before you shoot that much more noticeable. The more experience you have sniping the more this becomes second nature. Also, mouse and keyboard make aiming easier where console you're going to be more deliberate in your looking before shooting since your sensitivity plays a big factor. Good update on sniping.
If you've never tried a Moving Target sniper, you're missing it. Highly awards snappy roaming play. My Beloved roll is Fluted, Accurized, Snapshot, Moving Target with a Handling MW, super consistent and fast.

the single best tip for crucible is watch your teammates! where they shoot, where they come from, where they're running to, if multiple have died in close proximity, or if they're in close proximity in the enemies spawn. teammates are by far the most useful asset and once you learn to keep an eye on them and how to respond to their movements your kd will literally jump. as for the video the best sniper tip is definitely centering your screen on the target before aiming, and knowing where guardians head height is. i use a bow with icarus and jump around a lot specifically to counter snipers

These are some solid tips for anyone wanting to get a grasp on sniping more because when done correctly it really shows and that's why a lot of player's tend to dismiss it because of the higher skill ceilings versus other weapons. I'm personally a bow user and I don't have a playstyle that I know I gravitate to but I like being that annoying player in the map that wastes time and be evasive so my teammates can help lock them down need be. I guess you could say I like to be bait and watch how my enemies have a good time afterwards. I see you have a discord so I'm actually going to stop by and have a looksie at what's going on. I've been watching many vids since D1 on how to snipe, and even up to now, and they did help me greatly. There are some times I may miss my shot but after keeping my composure, I was able to get some good snipes and in return, boost my K.D. Thanks for sharing your tips on sniping. I'll continue to learn more as I progress in the Crucible.
I highly recommend equipping and stacking Target Acquisition mods, especially on console. Your bullet magnetism is significantly increased making it much easier to land headshots, even if your reticle isn't right on the head.
Good info... only real tip that didn't seem expanded on enough was with tip 4 using cover. You said "no sniper should peak after taking damage".... but what if you had bodied your target while taking said damage and could secure a body shot kill, or if ur in a healing rift, or can proc devour (or any subclass skill/exotic that can trick/bait opponent by replenishing health instantly, or its against another sniper and you know they just used up their special ammo damaging you, or you switch positioning around used cover, or to prevent opponent from pulling heavy, or to bait opponent into holding that lane while your teammates push/collapse in a competitive 3 V 2 scenario, etc... I've gotten so many kills or won rounds from those kind of situations that I can't agree with "should never". But good content all around and your gameplay is impressive and holds weight with the advice given IMO. Keep it up.
As a casual player, I find the success to be 80% based on maps. Some maps like Bannerfall & Altar of Flame are just born for snipers. Others like Anomaly, Retribution and maybe even Pacifica are absolute bullshit for Snipers. (Shotguns reign supreme here) Again as a casual player, I don't have much time to practice on the games, I just give up on sniping if the maps aren't ideal.
Another good vid! If you ever are looking for ideas on a video, I wouldn’t mind seeing a ‘best hunter build for 1v1’s’. I have starting doing 1v1’s and it’s great, but what’s the best build?? Is it goldie due to the knife? Maybe void, but is going invis toxic in a 1v1???. Worth a vid maybe??
BRAVExHERO sweet! I done some 1v1’s yesterday against a void warlock. So hard to go against as was spamming handheld supernovas (as we were not using supers). Toxic!

@@BRAVExHERO I have tried adjusting the sensitivity. I have trouble with all precision weapons, I overshoot the target. I have a new controller on order with higher tension on the thumbstick, since I just found that my old Scuf Elite has the lowest tension on it,
here's a tip, if you are new on fps, choose a sniper with high aim assist, but if you are coming from games like halo or CoD like me, choose the ones with low aim assisst; personally high aim assist makes me fail my shots, for example I prefer the Long Walk with 50 aim assisst over Adorate with 77
For Kinetic slot Revoker or Eye of Sol or The Supremacy after Revoker gets sunset. For Energy you want Beloved 100% but after that gets sunset the next best option would be Omniscient Eye or the Ikelos Sniper with the random rolls. Best sniper across both slots is Beloved though but if you're maybe a little newer to sniping Revoker is good since you get your ammo back.
I once tried sniping. I zoomed in, saw a Titan. Exactly 15 frame later I saw the Mountaintop rocket so clearly I admire the fucker designed that shit. I stop sniping.
I really have to disagree with you on box breathing. I only snipe. Over 200k kills in crucible. There is 1 time in a match where I am in scope for enough time to use box breathing or no distractions, at the beginning of a round. But most other times at the moment I proc box breathing I need to unscope to change angles or gauge what's going on in map
I think if out of that entire video the thing that you disagree is the box breathing perk. I’ll be okay with that. Lol. I highlighted Box Breathing and Vorpal as Perks to kill Supers. Lol
@@BRAVExHERO I've got a couple others but they are situational and more nuanced. But no distractions and box breathing should be avoided at all costs imo.
On controller you want snapshot with opening shot/ moving target. Moving target gives a hidden plus 10 to target acquisition even when not moving. My beloved is snapshot moving target and the aim assistance is amazing also cant stress this enough use sniper mods.

Depends on the player. But majority of good players will say Snapshot and QuickDraw

It’s the flinch mechanic that needs to be looked at IMO. Sniper flinch isn’t where it’s supposed to be at. So people are landing more shots.
