You should contact your bosses and recommended a system update that allows you to press the home button and the home screen be displayed, and the only screen icon that works is the settings icon that takes you to the valet mode screen to unlock. Or a feature to lock the compartment without shutting the screen down. If someone see’s the screen in valet mode they instantly know something valuable it behind it.
Did they ever include these in the GMC Sierra? I know some Yukons had them. My dad's got an (I think) 2015-2016 Sierra and it'd be wild if I can blow his mind with this next time I see him
@@MichelLinschoten It does make sense in certain situations. For instance, you might keep a gun in that compartment and want to be keep it locked unless/until you need access to it

You only lock the screen if you're leaving the vehicle though, so you're valuables are safe

It started with the 2014 model Impala and then the 2015 Tahoe/Suburban (and GMC Yukons) got them in 2015.

Just got a 2020 Traverse, Premier trim level, and mine does NOT have the USB port in the hidden compartment???
