A few observations. Sir you’re not only blessed with getting to swing out toolboxes for your truck but also for having a wife that is as enthusiastic about these things as you are. On top of that she payed enough interest & had enough knowledge to ask ya why you needed a drill bit if ya had self tapping screws? I get super excited when my wife pulls up a chair and kicks it with me either in the garage or wherever. ✌🏽🙏🏽
you are winning i just bought a ram yesterday and decided to look at some useful things i can install and stumbled upon your channel, definitely subscribing
Great review! Been thinking about one of these. I don’t have a bed cover, but I think locking my tailgate will prevent someone from swinging it open and walking away with it. Pad locking every time would get annoying.
Sweet. Thanks man. I was worried that the storage boxes wouldn't be able to swing the full 180 degrees like I was looking for. but thankfully, you showed that they can swing past 90 degrees and all the way out to you for a more comfortable position. Thank you.
Dude, they owe you some money. After watching your video I went and bought the pair for my RAM 1500. The second one just showed up. Can't wait to install these and get rid of the crate I have in the bed. Thanks.
supperterofsanity I’m in doubt. I load 4x8 sheet materials into trucks for a living. Full size trucks don’t have many figment issues. But once you start adding toolboxes and other related bed accessories, we usually gotta find other ways around.
Love the ease and simplicity... but i think I would take the extra time to install nutserts in place of the self tapping screws and spray the holes with a primer so my truck bed won't rust 👍🏾
@@LifeBuzzN Yeah. But do you live in the Great White North with lots and lots of salt on the roads during Winter? I agree with Amp by spraying the holes on the reverse side of where they tapped in with some paint then covering the protruding screw threads with a silicone waterproof caulk would work.
Nice...You might want to unbolt them and use RTV or paint on the bare metal to keep it from rusting...Also, wish they didn't interfere with the tailgate holder...have a great day...
Thanks im looking for something that wont take space like reg tool box to still have the 8ft bed lenght! See like i can prob have 4, 2 fixed and the others swing outs lol!
I suspect the self tapping screws into the bed will, under the load of the cargo container weight, and rough riding nature of the truck bed itself, be loosen up within a year and stripped out in two.
You should have put some sealant like silicon behind the mounting screws to keep the rust away. But they do look like a good thing to have for a truck. I think I mite get one?
Great video.. I was worried about it making it impossible to carry 4x8 sheets of whatever, but I guess they're easy enough to remove as needed? Do the mounts get in the way in that case?
Thanks those are exactly what I’m looking for. Oh and can I say I just love you and wife’s personality. You two showed sell these things, made me want to buy it 🤗.
Saw earlier comment about the self tapping screws rattling loose after a while. On your truck is it possible to access the back side of the truck box and use a bolt with a lock nut to secure the bracket?
Great Video, might buy one or two boxes. I like that they fit under the bed cover. By the way what brand is cover? I currently have a bakflip, the Texas heat did a number on it. Had it for 4 1/2 years. looking to buy a Retrax 1 cover.
Yes. No more rear tie down hooks. But if you have a tonneau like I do then I don’t care. Can always mount new tie down hooks on the side of the bed or use the ones removed.
Hi I did but the clasp Stays closed and you cannot keep open to close by swinging shut.. You have to pull and hold the lever to close.... must have gotten a dodgy one..
Why are you asking here? I me come on you searched for the video watched the video and asked a question when you could have used less time sending a email to the company with your question..... why are people this lazy
Now my question is would the keys for your box work to open someone else’s swing box? If a thief gets a hold of these keys and they’re universal they can just walk around and open any of these boxes they want. Just something to think about.
Do you think a thief is going to have keys for these boxes? I mean really they use these things called universal keys aka a screw driver.... stop over thinking it’s purpose it’s a deterrent for that opportunist to walk by and look inside a real thief will have the needed equipment to open it in about a second.....
Just some friendly advice.... since you bought a dodge you should just fill both of them up with tow straps as you will need them bring you have a dodge. Lol I’m just messing with you man. Good video. Thank you for the information.

Ok. You sold me on this. I was wondering about it. I am going to get one for my driver’s side. Thank you sir.

You will love them.
@@LifeBuzzN Put them in this weekend. I'm very pleased. Thanks again for the video.
That is pretty tight. Love that its removable.
Did you know that the torque setting on the drill and setting to low-speed will get the same desired effect as using the hand ratchet?
This is the best swing case video ive ever seen dude im sold
I just got one and I'm excited to put it in since you made it so easy!
I just bought one for my Gladiator! Thanks for the to-do install.
Question ? > Any updates on how the toolboxes have held up ?
Cool, thanks for the demo and info! Can you buy the 2 as a set that uses the same keys?
Yes, I believe so.
"Hardest part is opening the Ziploc" 😂 sold!
Best video on the swingcase!
We still love them
Got one I’m installing today for my taco. Only thing I’m concerned about is rust where you drill so I’m putting silicon on when I tighten
What is the clearance between the two boxes? Can you load 4' material between them?
supperterofsanity I’m in doubt. I load 4x8 sheet materials into trucks for a living. Full size trucks don’t have many figment issues. But once you start adding toolboxes and other related bed accessories, we usually gotta find other ways around.
I own these on both sides of my truck box, and because they sit behind the wheel well you can fit sheets of plywood in between.
@@bigmacthebusdriver what about a four foot wide RZR?
Nice video.. Any suggestions for installing thru a bed liner??
Not that I know of

Nope...it's been a year and still going strong. I use them everyday.
Install rivnuts then add a spring washer under the fastener...mike dropped and outa here

Guess everyone is going to ignore the fact that he is 12 feet tall?
Right?! My first thoughts were “this guy is massive”
Can you still put full sheets of plywood or drywall in the bed?
Very good video! Somewhat entertaining and instructional. Thank you.
I have the duratech Tonneau cover with the side latches for locking it down. Will this allow me to latch down my Tonneau then swing shut?
Great video.. I was worried about it making it impossible to carry 4x8 sheets of whatever, but I guess they're easy enough to remove as needed? Do the mounts get in the way in that case?
No, they do not get in the way at all.
Nice! I needs! Are they right and left specific? Or can you change the bracket to use for either side?
they are specific
Those are some pretty nifty swing case tool boxes you have there. I'll consider getting one if I ever get a truck. Take care. Lucas

Kevin Fisher You can just punch in a rivnut if you want to.
Install going down tomorrow! You’re my pal and we haven’t even met yet! Ha!
Does your Atv still fit between the fender wells without hitting those boxes? (still have 48" ?)
I'm looking for this only a little bit wider.
How has the hardware held up. I'm leery about the self tapping screws

Love the boxes, and bought a Diamondback cover....love it also.
@@LifeBuzzN Diamondback is the only cover that I consider durable. I bought a backflip, it is JUNK.
Does the lid have seal to keep water from getting in?
Yes they are sealed lids.
Man, that’s a cool deal there !! I think that’s just what I need. I appreciate your review greatly. 👍👍👍
Thanks Harold, so far, we love them. It's been over a year not. Take Care-
Hope you see this soon, but would these boxes be able to be installed in a truck that has a spray-in bed-liner? Thanks
I don't see why not. Good luck.
@@LifeBuzzN thanks
What is the height from the bottom of the swing case to the bed of the truck? I have a bedslide and I wonder if I can make these fit...
You made these look so good that I'm gonna buy a truck just so I can get them!
AWESOME video! Really informative, and super helpful! Going to look into these for my Isuzu DMax!
For a tall guy like him, sure makes it look easy.
I like those a lot. Going to check on two for my truck.
Nice, but they seem to cover the inside strap down rings. Would have to remove each box?
and trucks with bed lights
Yes. No more rear tie down hooks. But if you have a tonneau like I do then I don’t care. Can always mount new tie down hooks on the side of the bed or use the ones removed.
Looks great. Now we will need a durability update
Still truckn!
Can a swing box be installed at front side of wheel well?
May have an issue with the swing of it.
Can you still get full use of the bed ?
Love this
Has anyone installed one of these in a truck with bed lights? I’m wondering how much this toolbox would block the lights
Is there enough room between the bed wall and tool box to allow for the 5th wheel harness outlet that is mounted on the bed wall of my F350?
Yes, but you would have to move the box to use it.
excellent video man.
8:44 thanks for sharing
Is the box made of metal or aluminum? Does it feel heavy duty as well ? Thanks in advance
The boxes are hard plastic. Very durable. Still love mine after all these years.
What brand of air compressor was that ?
Well done sir! Got my driver side coming today!
Did you get it installed? 1 year later.....I still love mine.
Hi I did but the clasp Stays closed and you cannot keep open to close by swinging shut.. You have to pull and hold the lever to close.... must have gotten a dodgy one..
Looks like these have an accessory that clips onto the sides... Four on each if I’m not mistaken.
Camera lady did an awesome job lol😅

Thinking on getting a set for my Tundra, but having heartburn with drilling holes in my truck.....
I was nervous as well, but now, after several years, there have been zero issues.
@@LifeBuzzN Thanks for easing my mind..... Cheers mate.....
Wow. Very easy to install. Ty for this vid!
Do they sell just the brackets? I got the box but want to convert it to swing out.
Why are you asking here? I me come on you searched for the video watched the video and asked a question when you could have used less time sending a email to the company with your question..... why are people this lazy
Would this work with a factory bedliner and a flip-bed extender installed?
James Stafursky it won’t work with the bed extender, but it will work with factory bed liner.
Would this work in a toyota tundra
Like having inside Ram Boxes ! The 6" 4" Ram Bed is NOT optioned for Ram Boxes but this Solves it !
I think I would consider mounting a tiedown to the box to secure cargo.

Thanks for watching!
It will also fit (2) gallon coolant jugs and 3 quarts of oil with room to spare.
Good job... And you used my favorite drill manufacturer! Lol

How do you measure so the top doesn't touch your truck bed top?
