I had the privilege of working on this show and witnessing this performance. Standing 15 feet in front of them during rehearsal, as loud as it was, i wanted it to be louder. I really miss Scott. An incredible talent with incredible demons. Gone too soon. Fun fact about this performance, wheres Slashe's pedal board? Its behind his stack of amps where his guitar tech sat on a chair and clicked the pedals at the appropriate times during the song. Boy is he spoiled! lol well he's slash, and he is amazing. One of my favorite days in show biz.
who was singing back ups? i noticed Matt has a mic but he wasn't always on it, you can clearly hear back up harmonies but no one else in the band is singing...you can catch Matt on the mic a couple times here n there, but there are times where harmonies are being sang but no one else in the band is on any mic....someone behind the curtains i'm assuming
Just magic this performance. The combo of talent happening at the same time. Just majestic. You could "feel" this happening. Just legend....The interaction of Duff McKagan and the drummer is just so....wonderful. Perfection... Scott Weiland's loss is deeply felt by Gen X.
Dude, I'm a boomer and I've been listening to Scott and STP for decades, since the beginning. Lots of generations miss him. One of the best rock voices of all time, and with such style and swagger - so cool. Don't do drugs, kiddies.
Its just so sad to watch this.. remembering so many stars in the rock and punk arena that either OD or took their own lives... cannot imagine how these tortured souls even get up on stage and give back to the people. These guys are heroes imo. Only wished they had someone to be there with them... life can be fragile...
@@dennis8309 you said the family is tortured more correct? Not so. They don't have a constant voice in their head telling them how unworthy, lousy, sad, pathetic, etc... they are. Depression, or other mental illnesses, are what these *tortured souls* deal with.
I vividly remember watching this when it aired. I was 13 (a huge Conan fan) and just learning to play guitar. Slash's guitar part was a revelatory early lesson in simple, yet moving and powerful.
Listened to this song on the beach in Playa Del Carmen watching wind surfers in the beautiful ocean. Man, it was like heaven! Now every time I hear this song I'm back there in my mind...so cool
Slash is just such a great guitar player. Just raw talent. Remember very early 80's Guns and Roses. Recall a couple of boys talking about them in Burger king. Just legend.....
Rip Scott. Gen X lost one of our own much too soon. The loss is felt....Light dimmed with his passing. The loss of his talent and passion is such a loss to the world.
Matt is on. Good vocals and drumming extraordinaire. Bravo. Scott, Slash should have worked together more. I know, I know. Never seen Slash move so much. Best video. A+
Well where was all that "talent" with STP? This just goes to prove that it's not just one person, but the right combination of talents to come together.
...SONG OF THE DAY!!! 🤘🏿MEGAROLOTA🤘🏿
Can anyone help? Where does the second voice at the end of the bridge come from in the line "all alone I fall to pieces"? Apparently no one on stage is singing it...
I thought Matt was appropriate for most of the songs on the Illusion records, but he DID sound too beefy for the Appetite era songs. He definitely didn’t have the same swing and groove that Steven Adler did. Ahh, well. GN’R will always be my favorite band, ALL incantations of it, lol. 🖤🤷🏻♀️
Once you start it takes your soul and will, just don't do it, it's not worth the risk, one thing that l really think people think they could be stronger than, but in the end they wish they never started to the end
@@ninsnumber1fan Oh yes. Absolutely. GNR will never be GNR without Izzy and Steven. I’ll tolerate Sorum, bcs the UYI era was so dope, but after Izzy left…they were never the same.

Addiction is one of the toughest demons. Such a great performer and a great voice.
If you're an addict, there is help out there.

That was a real rock and roll band. Thank you Scott for holding it together as long as you did. RIP
Slash is not only the greatest rock guitarist, but he has the look as well. What a talent and a master. Thanks for the inspiration, my man.
Slash is not even in the top 500, but he definitely has the look.
Keith Ferrilla Well said

This line up is incredible. Seen them live twice most amazing shows I ever seen.
Arent they like guns n roses but without Axl Rose being the singer?
@@TheProdigyAccordion no even better
@@TheProdigyAccordion they’re a supergroup
I saw them in New Zealand in 2005, wicked concert, so much energy and showmanship from Scott.
2004.. oh it's a long time ago. Best year of my life.
I remember when i buy this record. Nice memory.
One of the best licks Slash has ever written.
Gives me goose bumps every time he chimes in on the high note with the solo
Perhaps THE best lick
It’s good but I disagree
The band ventured into new territory with Scott.. Great combination
It’s always stuck in my head.
Scott is one hell of a front man what a voice
Realest deal ever.
One of the best rock songs ever. If there's any justice in this world - that song will live forever.
Great Song, from a great and a Wonderful Singer Scott Weiland. I miss him every day😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brings a tear to my eye every time I listen. Very sorely missed!
One of the better performances of this song imo.
thank you.. RIP SCOTT :(
Como se extraña al gran Scott Weinlad, amo escucharlo.. Sin duda una de las mejores voces..!!

Slash Is An Amazing guitarist after all these years and still going strong 🤘🤘🤘
Great rendition! Never saw this before. Rock ballad gorgeous!!!
Scotts stage presence reminds me alot of Freddie Mercury, he just owned the stage when he was on it & commanded attention & respect, RIP LEGEND 🎤☝🏼

Duff and slash remind me of Me and my brother(r.i.p. Brandon mooney 2020). We had played together for so long, that we played together seamlessly.

Man such a classic
Slash was really getting into this song jumping around… one of my favorite songs of all time

Only Slash can rock a button up leather tank top... Only Slash.

So I think I might hear a bit of the Bowie influence and is awesome. : -)
