Holy majoly it is freaking scorching. Texas heat is here for sure. Time to double down on pool maintenance.
    Free Chlorine - .6 PPM
    Total Chlorine - .6 PPM
This is pretty remarkable considering that the tablets aren't fully dissolving. I added another tablet on top of the remaining chunks just to be on the safe side.
    PH - 7.5
    Perfect.
    Alkalinity - 70 PPM
    Perfect.
    Calcium Hardness - 265 PPM
    Perfect.
    Cyanuric Acid - 10 PPM
I need this to at least be 20 and ideally between 30 and 50. I added 2 bottles of UV Shield to increase it.
    Borate - 60 PPM
    Perfect.
    Phosphate - 300 PPB
Not too bad. I'll see what it looks like next week and then adjust if necessary.
I noticed just a light and small patch of yellow algae. What this means is that the PoolRX minerals are too low. Last year I didn't have to add the booster until the end of August. This year, with all the rain in May it makes sense that the minerals were diluted more rapidly.
I added the booster. It should clear everything up.
I am going to experiment with longevity and not revisit the pool for about two weeks just to see what happens. Let's see how long this low chlorine mineral system can hold up without maintenance!
See you all in a couple of weeks.
