    This shows that if you are a real groovy bass player, you can play cool lines even if there's not a Fender logo on the headstock. Good strings and good fingers, Squier gets high.

      Thx so much for watching and commenting! And I’m with you, the fingers are a very important part of the sound! :-)

    I love that Classic Vibe bass, the muted flat wound sound, and the sweet groove!

    Groovy, man! As I'm starting recording bass at home - any recommendations on monitors (both speakers and/or headphones)? Thanks for yo videos!

      I use a pait of cheap Behringer passive monitors. As long as they sound quite decent, the secret is, to get used to their sound. You need to listen to your favorite recordings on a pair of new speakers, over and over again. This will help you with judging the sound of a track you just made!

    Beautiful tone, I don't know if its the old strings that sound dead, or its the EBS microbass, but something in the chain gives you a old woodszy tone, some EQ going on here as well maybe?

      It’s called flatwound strings

    • @MichaelSchmittEleven
      @MichaelSchmittEleven  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Thx a lot for watching and commenting! This "old sound" comes mainly from the old flatwound strings on this bass.

    Hey ! I love this bass and I want to buy it but i can't find it, now there are new models... Do you think that changes something for the sound ?

    • @MichaelSchmittEleven
      @MichaelSchmittEleven  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The newer version may feel and sound a bit different, but they still are an amazing bang for the buck, and everything one needs, to get a great sound.

    Do you always play with tone fully open ?

    • @MichaelSchmittEleven
      @MichaelSchmittEleven  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Olvichristo - Hi there! I rarely play with the tone control wide open. In this clip, and most of the time, I’ve set it to 70-80% open.
