- Hi there!
Watch me, jammin´ to some nice backing tracks on my lovely 1975 P-Bass, equipped with an EMG GZR pickup, and strung with old D´Addario Chromes!
The bass has been played through my EBS MultiComp, into my MarkBass LittleMarcus1000.
Find the excellent backing tracks @ "Music Jam Tracks", here on TH-cam.
Thx a lot for watching, please stay safe & healthy!
Great playing and the EMGs sound amazing!
Thx a lot. Yeah, these pickups are truly amazing.
Thank you for playing and not talking! Sounds like butter.

Mesmerizing bass sound (and playing). Thank you.
So glad, you like it! Stay safe and healthy, brother! :-)
Love that paint color
Yeah, she's a beauty. :-)
Can’t beat a Pbass for sitting in the mix so effortlessly. Glad you are back posting . Hope to see the Squier CV 60’s P bass in action soon. Make for nice comparison with the Fender 70’s P.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Yeah, there are plenty of videos planned, and sure enough, the Squier will be featured again as well! ;-) Stay safe and healthy!

Sooo good! We missed your videos... Thank you for uploading some of your music again. Believe me, my friend: you're one of the greatest P-Bass masters! Best regards.
Wow, your kind words are highly appreciated! I´m looking forward to bringing you some more videos in the future! Please stay safe and take care!
Always enjoy your videos, so inspiring. Very well shot and the sound is always spot on! My favourite is the ‘75 Precision.
Thx a lot. Yeah, I love this old lady as well. Stay safe and keep it low. 😉👍🏻
@@MichaelSchmittElevenAfter all the crap people talked on CBS Fenders, look what they sell for now
Always Dope as usual!
My Fender P has GZR installed as well but is strung with D' Addario ETB92. Gives it a really nice upright tone but with bite, thanks to the GZR and maple FB!
Thx a lot!
And yeah, these GZR pickups are really amazing! :-) All the best!
About to put a set of GZR in my player series p-bass with a set of 1yo TI flats. If it's sounds anything near your sound i will be more then happy. Great tone and great playing friend :)
Thx a lot! I bet, you'll love it! :-)
The TI dont have the low thud that the chromes have but its a very versatile combo. .. on a side note.this line is so good i think im gonna transcrib it if you dont mind@@MichaelSchmittEleven
Great tone and playing! What is the name of that 1st slow jam track?
Thx a lot. Sorry. Can't remeber it anymore. Please stay safe and healthy.
nice ^^
Vielen Dank. 😉👍🏻
Hi! Is the tone knob at zero? I heard some GZR EMG pickup demos with lots of modern sounds. First time I saw a demo with a solid bass sound. Cheers!!
Thx a lot for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed my video. In fact, the range of usable tones you get with the usage of the tone knob, is a strong point of the GZR pickup. In this video, the tone control was set to around 50%. All the best. Stay safe and healthy.
@@MichaelSchmittEleven many thnx my friend. You also stay safe and healthy.
Cream and butter, sir 👍
Glad, you´ve enjoyed it! Thx so much for taking the time to watch and comment! All the best!
I also have a GZR in my Fender. Your tone is awesome in this video, how did you set the eq for the bass?
Thx a lot, Sean. I used my EBS MicroBass II in this video, with just a little boost of the bass and cut of the highs (my usual settings). Thx a lot for watching and commenting! A very happy and musical new year! 🙏🏻
Amazing tone! What gauge are the Chromes?
Thx a lot. 45-100
Michael, where did you buy that strap? I want a “hippie” strap but can only find the standard 5cm ones. This looks wider and padded or not?
Hi there! It's a strap by Sue Schuh, or "kissfishdesign". You'll find her on Facebook. Her straps are super comfy and she makes the straps for Stanley Clark.
@@MichaelSchmittEleven Thanks for the reply, I’ll look her up.
Edit: omfg they’re expensive😦
Sir is that carpi orange?
Hi there! You mean the color of the bass? It´s a natural finish, quite nicely yellowed and darkened over the decades of use! ;-)
Woh sexy bass. Love the tone so much xd
@@minhthanhdang8409 Glad, you´ve enjoyed it! :-)
