About the twist cap vs magnetic cap, I emailed Mancera and said that they indeed changed the cap but never reformulated Cedrat Boise since its their most popular fragrance. It makes sense of why would they shoot themselves on the foot by ruining something good? My magnetic cap CB lasts 8-10 hrs on me, will easily buy another bottle once I finish mine. Curious about the Intense as well.
Great video! OG Cedrat Boise is my therapeutic scent. It is so uplifting. Looking back I can't believe I initially did not like it, but it eventually grew into a love. To my nose the intense is darker and smoother.
I thought Cedrat Boise was a little overpriced for what you got and I got the dupe, Cedrat Essense from Paris Corner for like $25 and it was much more worth it. Then I got to try and the Intense version and I did feel that was worth it. Same scent, a little more intense, a little more refined, a lot smoother, and lasted until the next day on my skin. The bottle I tested was at a Scent Bar and was halfway done and clearly macerated a bit, so keep that in mind. In my opinion, if you have neither, either go for it and get the Intense or save some bucks and the Paris Corner Emir. The original is just a bit redundant with the Intense. That said, if you have the original and don't want to try and sell your bottle or something, just hang onto what you have.
When I first bought this, the first 2 days all I could smell was the ashtray someone spilled lemon oil over. I kept wearing it and now it’s one of my favorites of all time. I get more compliments than any of my other scents. It surprises me because I didn’t like it at first but women seem to really respond to it. Magnetic cap btw.
Same here, it smelled like a urinal cake ashtray out the box. Gave it a couple days and it smelled like walking through a cedar/christmas tree shop with a fruit smoothie
I have and enjoy both. In my opinion, the Intense is fuller, richer, slightly darker, and less fresh. I actually prefer it to the original as an all around scent, but I still use the original in the summer since it's a little more bright and uplifting. It's similar to the relationship AdG has with Profumo. They're different, but there is a clear family resemblance.
Just got a bottle of this a few weeks ago for the summer, I've always put it off as it was billed as an Aventus clone and I thought it'd be redundant but, this fragrance is excellent definitely room for both!

Completely agree with your opinion regarding the performance of the twist cap vs magnetic cap. I own the twist cap and tried the new one with minimal differences in longevity. CB has never been a beast mode fragrance 7/8 hrs avg longevity with both presentations.
I have both Cedrat Boise and the intense version, the intense is just darker smokier, but similar to cedrat boise, think of it as the night time / winter time version of cedrat but ill say the notes are about 90% the same the 10% is the darkness, smokey, a little less bright, less fruity. but similar.

Didn't smell nowhere near as good as people made a seam. Don't get me wrong it's okay but that's about it. I actually started to layer it with latafa' qaed al fursan

Out of my 200 bottles, this ties for my most-complimented, along with Reflection Man. Sadly, they both have the same usage, seasons, etc.. I had to make peace with the froot loops (I still can't spray it on without that association). No denying it's women who flock to it, and my wife's favorite. All scent being subjective, nothing smokey to me here, just cedar/sandalwood, and far in, the most tame, lovely suede.
I use this as proof that there is no such thing as a blind buy. When the sharp opening sweetens a little it's okay for me, but as it dries down on my skin, that woody-leather-muskiness is not pleasant to me. It works better for me in high heat -- I find the citrus-sweet vanilla pops a little more for me and the woody-leather-spicy base is toned down. But I'd rather wear Elysium or a clone of Elysium when I want citrus blast that dries down to sweet musk. But I will wear this still if there are enough consecutive 90 degree+ days because I do not like repeating fragrances and I only have so many that work in really high heat.
I have both Aventus and Cedrat Boise. I have put one up and down one arm and the other up and down the other arm to compare. Cedrat Boise on my skin and clothes smells better and lasted a lot longer than Aventus. I can smell CB on my jacket still 2 days later. I sprayed them on each arm again when I first caught your video on my tv and I keep wanting to smell CB bc of the smokey woods and slight vanilla and bright lemon. To me Cedrat Boise is the clear winner. If you wear Aventus I would say buy a 10ml of CB and compare them on your skin. Curly scents has CB as her favorite men's scent and Curly fragrance has it also in her 10 every man should own. For the record I have a number of Creed fragrances like Green Irish Tweed, Millesime Imperial, and Silver Mountain Water. I enjoy those very much, but did wish they lasted longer and especially for the price. I just personally enjoy Cedrat Boise much more than Aventus. And at $75 vs $275 I can go pick up a bottle of PDF Layton with the money I saved. Gerard you opened a can of worms I believe! Great stuff as always my friend.
To me, the Intense version isnt really good for summer. Cedrat Boise is an all year fragrance but shines best in the heat. To me the intense is just too strong. Its why I went with the OG.

Just got a twist cap bottle version of this juice a few days ago . It’s a pretty ok dumb-reach smell , especially for the price I paid for it . Good juice 👍
I bought one but I believe I've got the fake one. The projection is super strong, but after 5-10min you won't find a trace of the scent. I literally spray everywhere and a lot to see if it's me or the fragrance. Same with Sicilly. The wave musk I bought it from different discounter, it stays little longer. I have regular designer fragrances that are EDPs and last a lot longer. I don't. I'm kind of confused and skeptical.
I got samples of about 6 fragrances when I heard about Mancera. I love the quality of the Mancera house, but Cedrat Boise and Gold Incense were not for me. Amber Fever, Instant Crush and Tonka Cola are all awesome.
Just by aventus it’s way more quality better ingredients goes throw 3 stages of notes and is the original blue scent. Cedrat doesn’t smell high quality at all more like designer and it’s trying to copy aventus like so many
I gotta disagree with this. I love Aventus it’s one of my top 10 regardless of batch but this is its own thing. I never personally got the Aventus connection.
I definitely go nose blind with Cedrat Boise original, I've just got the intense and IMO it's definitely different to the OG, I don't seem to go nose blind to it yet but not worn it consistently yet..👍
I own both a twist on cap and a magnetic cap and I can confirm that the twist cap is much stronger, it is more oily and projects better. The scent is almost identical but the longevity is definitely not.
All Mancera fragrances focus on power. I owe Aoud Vanilla and Cedrat Boise but i tried a lot of their other fragrances. Nothing special. Not a house i like. Cedrat Boise smells like cough syrup covered in lemon candy. Way too synthetic. 3/10
You sir are doing it right, Cedrat Boise is a great intro to niche. Be careful my friend, it’s an expensive hole to go down. One day, you’ll find yourself paying $400+ for a big ass bottle of Oud Wood, instantly fall in love with the scent, then need to reapply it fifteen minutes later 😂

I don't like Cedrat Boise, first... annoying me this smoke, like tar or hot asphalt (similar in montblanc explorer). And 2nd: after this turn more in feminine way, like powder or cream.
Most disappointing overhyped purchase ever for the price. I love the scent but it doesn’t last long at all and not a lot of sillage plus the bottle and label are cheap and generic. I’ve only ever been complimented when it’s been freshly sprayed but never after a few hours or more.
I sprayed this on this morning around 10:30. Just left dinner with my family we are away in NH and when the waiter brought the check over asked who was wearing such a great cologne. I wrote it down for him along with the name of my channel 😂. Sorry you don’t get the same performance Craig. Just curious do you have the magnetic cap or the screw cap?
Cedrat has been significantly reformulated comparing to 2017 and even 2019. Don't buy it, it doesn't have all that parts for why we love original Cedrat. The new one is week, smells differently and projection is small. It's cheap smelling but for price as original. Mancera as all other re-formulators want to cheat on you.
I don't get that from mine but I don't know what year mine is from. Bought it like 2 years ago. Nothing cheap smelling about it and it lasts. Just like by decant from 2019 or so. No difference.
Coloration is also much different from the older reforulations to the later ones. Newest ones have a very light yellow to the older ones with a more richer yellow, it even shows in the og photos that haven't even been updated lol
@gerardgeorge nah, but I've heard it's more well-rounded, smoother. Performance isn't much different from the pre-formulations. Reviewers are recommending the intense more now since of the reforulations... hope that helps?
I just received my 15ml travel spray today. First niche I've smelled. I guess I'm just not there in my frag journey. If this is beginners niche idk if I'll ever get there 😂 I'll stick to designers for now 🤢 I'll take Eros all day everyday over this lol maybe one day I'll get there but definitely not today
I have cedrat Boise intense. It doesn't last even 4 hours but then i smell it days after on my shirt. Im getting nose blind definitely. Cedrat Boise intense is more close to Nishane hacivat. I have both. They don't smell anything like Aventus. I have decan of Aventus and full bottle of CDNIM LIMITED EDITION. I couldn't tell difference between CDNIM LIMITED EDITION or Aventus and thats why i refuse to pay $200 for Aventus.
Good afternoon great video! I think I suffered from the overhyped when I first smelled this. I didn't get it. But over time I see it's purpose. Its a everyday wear in nice weather for me. Love it.
I tried this recently and was not impressed at all as it was just a strong lemon scent , nothing special compared to other citrus fragrances. Get Mancera aoud lemon mint instead which is much more exotic smelling and much richer.
I have both and I don't think it's unreasonable to have both. The intense is really just as the name says. The longevity is what sets them apart the most. The original is very good and has more of the fruity smell. The intense is focused more on the vanilla and is a lot more smoother than the original. Talk about beast mode, neither one is beast mode if you're scared to spray it. They are both non-offensive so I say spray away. Once you do that... Beast Mode achieved.
I've just got the intense version sprayed only 5 times yesterday on face and neck, trained at the gym, showered, slept, this morning could still smell it i don't dare do more sprays I'd blow peoples head's off 😂
The bottle you have with you seems to be the one with the screw on cap, therefore it is an old bottle since as you know all new bottles come with magnetic caps. Why is this important? Cause according to many other reviewers Cedrat Boise was actually reformulated recently (with the magnetic cap bottles), not only it doesn't perform the same, it doesn't smell the same either, I guess the only way for you to confirm or deny that would be to try one of the new badges.
Great video! I got mine just yesterday its a 2022 bottle, but I have my doubts on it. For me it smells nothing like fruity notes, all I get is sharp citrus. I dunno whats wrong with my bottle though its my very first niche. Do you think If I let the bottle to mancerate, would that bring out the fruity notes in it?
Give it time Sameh. Initially the lemon will be strong to your nose since you are probably used to smelling designers. You’ll begin to identify more notes and accords the more you wear it and test it.

The intense isn't as loud, a bit darker and more mature. The overlap though means it's not needed though if you have the OG. Maybe get a bottle when you kill a bottle of the OG
I like the original much more than the intense version. The intense version doesn’t last any longer or perform better than the original. The main difference between them is the inclusion of an oud note in the intense version… and that oud note doesn’t seem to fit.. it smells odd and out of place with the other notes.
Am I the only person in the world who detects a hint of unbearable, sickeningly sweet cough syrup/medicine/antibiotic in CB. Bought it blind following the hype and I'm kinda hoping it'll grow on me - and one more thing - not a summer scent for me.

I've sampled a few Creeds - Aventus (not a huge fan), Silver Mountain Water (love it), Millesime Imperial (love it), PDM Greenley (love it), PDM Layton and Sedley (like those, not my cup of tea though) - to tell you the truth I'm a beginner - love freshies, aquatics, airy/ozonic scents, citrus and fruity ones - as all beginners do. My collection consists of 45-ish scents - mostly freshies, most hyped designer fragrances, some clones. CB is actually my first niche 'bottle'.
I have my favorites too Douglas but at the same time have this channel so I try many different things to talk about even though many days I feel like wearing the same thing out of convenience!
I really enjoy this the og with the cap. Great performance and longevity. Don't ask me whether it's screw on or magnetic cause it makes no difference imo
Never smelled the original but the one I recently tried had such a terrible opening I couldn't understand why so many people like. Seriously made me wonder if I got a bad bottle. Opening reeks strongly if synthetic lemon furniture polish which doesn't surprise me since tonca cola has a really strong synthetic orange furniture polish vibe. I guess their citruses are all like that maybe. And it does dry down into ashtray vibe that gets worse as the dry down continues. It's a no for me. My bottle is still full and I'm selling it.
You have to like leathery facets with synthetic vibes. I have a decant due to the hype but the aventus dna is superior when I want to have a fruity masculine smell.
I bought the new bottle because I had only 20 ml decant of the older one which i had mostly used up... maybe 6 ml left. Side by side there is a big difference in projection. The og pushes out right at the start much better. Both smell similar up close but og just projects better by alot. Now I doubt a😊nosmia is playing a roll when i have them both on at the same time, but maceration might? They both still get decent longevity just one sits closer to the skin. I have a conspiracy theory that when the intense came out they cut some corners on the new bottles of CB to justify people buying the newer one as they did lower the price of the og right after release. Hopefully, I'm wrong and it is just maceration.
Gerard, you might like the Intense, but I don't think you'll want a bottle, because it is very similar. Definitely sample first. On my skin, it was stronger on the woody-leather-spicy notes and the citrus was toned down. I know you're a fan of those notes, but for me, the Intense was stronger on the notes I don't like and weak on the ones I do.
Bleu is more clean and fresh everyday wear. This is too but it’s more unique and I like it better. Bleu is safe and generic but smells great. I personally like this better but your personality and what you like matters too.
This is one of the few that I would consider essential (Dior Homme Cologne, Spicebomb Extreme, NR Bleu Noir EDP, any BdC, GIT, and Cedrat Boise. 🤷♂️), absolutely a solid daily driver in spring. I bought the Intense, meh, a touch of designer-ish oud and eternal longevity. It would be redundant to own both IMO.
Looking for a new signature. Finished a bottle of Montblanc Explorer, looking for something of that sort for daily wear to school, work etc. So Cedrat Boise came to mind. Have not tried it, is it blind buy worthy if I like Explorer? The regular or intense? Mancera is kinda hard to get your hands on where I live. Cedrat Boise Intense is unavailable I think, but the OG is available for like $120.
I tried the sample today. While I really liked the fragrance, especially opening which I found to be very smooth, it quickly disappeared from my skin. I sprayed some more after half an hour and even that was gone in another hour. It hardly projected. Where I live is really warm so it seems like it doesn't go well with warmer climates. Even though I was in an AC room, it seems if I have to get decent performance out of this, I will need 8010 sprays. In that way I am disappointed.

The intense is great , just got it today in the mail (tester) Leans masculine imo, and smells Quite nice Not great with notes so I can’t explain . Just a nice one id say 👌🏻

Just got a twist cap bottle version of this juice a few days ago . It’s a pretty ok dumb-reach smell , especially for the price I paid for it . Good juice 👍

I bought one but I believe I've got the fake one. The projection is super strong, but after 5-10min you won't find a trace of the scent. I literally spray everywhere and a lot to see if it's me or the fragrance. Same with Sicilly.
The wave musk I bought it from different discounter, it stays little longer.
I have regular designer fragrances that are EDPs and last a lot longer.

I got samples of about 6 fragrances when I heard about Mancera. I love the quality of the Mancera house, but Cedrat Boise and Gold Incense were not for me.
Amber Fever, Instant Crush and Tonka Cola are all awesome.
I STILL need to to try instant crush. I also need to try aoud lemon mint.
Just by aventus it’s way more quality better ingredients goes throw 3 stages of notes and is the original blue scent. Cedrat doesn’t smell high quality at all more like designer and it’s trying to copy aventus like so many
I gotta disagree with this. I love Aventus it’s one of my top 10 regardless of batch but this is its own thing. I never personally got the Aventus connection.
I just got my cedrat boise today and it says 2013 on the box does that makes a difference if it's that old?
If it was kept under good conditions it should be fine. No direct sunlight or extreme temps. Great find where did you get it??
I definitely go nose blind with Cedrat Boise original, I've just got the intense and IMO it's definitely different to the OG, I don't seem to go nose blind to it yet but not worn it consistently yet..👍

I own both a twist on cap and a magnetic cap and I can confirm that the twist cap is much stronger, it is more oily and projects better. The scent is almost identical but the longevity is definitely not.

All Mancera fragrances focus on power. I owe Aoud Vanilla and Cedrat Boise but i tried a lot of their other fragrances. Nothing special. Not a house i like. Cedrat Boise smells like cough syrup covered in lemon candy. Way too synthetic. 3/10

You sir are doing it right, Cedrat Boise is a great intro to niche. Be careful my friend, it’s an expensive hole to go down. One day, you’ll find yourself paying $400+ for a big ass bottle of Oud Wood, instantly fall in love with the scent, then need to reapply it fifteen minutes later 😂

I don't like Cedrat Boise, first... annoying me this smoke, like tar or hot asphalt (similar in montblanc explorer). And 2nd: after this turn more in feminine way, like powder or cream.
It can react differently on different peoples skin.
Most disappointing overhyped purchase ever for the price. I love the scent but it doesn’t last long at all and not a lot of sillage plus the bottle and label are cheap and generic. I’ve only ever been complimented when it’s been freshly sprayed but never after a few hours or more.
I sprayed this on this morning around 10:30. Just left dinner with my family we are away in NH and when the waiter brought the check over asked who was wearing such a great cologne. I wrote it down for him along with the name of my channel 😂. Sorry you don’t get the same performance Craig. Just curious do you have the magnetic cap or the screw cap?
Cedrat has been significantly reformulated comparing to 2017 and even 2019. Don't buy it, it doesn't have all that parts for why we love original Cedrat. The new one is week, smells differently and projection is small. It's cheap smelling but for price as original. Mancera as all other re-formulators want to cheat on you.
I don't get that from mine but I don't know what year mine is from. Bought it like 2 years ago. Nothing cheap smelling about it and it lasts. Just like by decant from 2019 or so. No difference.

Not true at all, mine is a year old and very strong.
You're being paranoid, fragrances don't get reformulated as often as fragcomm wants you to believe. This fragrance is still good
...Just bought a week ago,honestly am 100% sure is reformulated,not like the ones I had before.
Coloration is also much different from the older reforulations to the later ones. Newest ones have a very light yellow to the older ones with a more richer yellow, it even shows in the og photos that haven't even been updated lol

@gerardgeorge nah, but I've heard it's more well-rounded, smoother. Performance isn't much different from the pre-formulations. Reviewers are recommending the intense more now since of the reforulations... hope that helps?
I just received my 15ml travel spray today. First niche I've smelled. I guess I'm just not there in my frag journey. If this is beginners niche idk if I'll ever get there 😂 I'll stick to designers for now 🤢 I'll take Eros all day everyday over this lol maybe one day I'll get there but definitely not today

I have cedrat Boise intense. It doesn't last even 4 hours but then i smell it days after on my shirt. Im getting nose blind definitely. Cedrat Boise intense is more close to Nishane hacivat. I have both. They don't smell anything like Aventus. I have decan of Aventus and full bottle of CDNIM LIMITED EDITION. I couldn't tell difference between CDNIM LIMITED EDITION or Aventus and thats why i refuse to pay $200 for Aventus.

I tried this recently and was not impressed at all as it was just a strong lemon scent , nothing special compared to other citrus fragrances. Get Mancera aoud lemon mint instead which is much more exotic smelling and much richer.

I have both and I don't think it's unreasonable to have both. The intense is really just as the name says. The longevity is what sets them apart the most.
The original is very good and has more of the fruity smell. The intense is focused more on the vanilla and is a lot more smoother than the original. Talk about beast mode, neither one is beast mode if you're scared to spray it. They are both non-offensive so I say spray away. Once you do that... Beast Mode achieved.

I've just got the intense version sprayed only 5 times yesterday on face and neck, trained at the gym, showered, slept, this morning could still smell it i don't dare do more sprays I'd blow peoples head's off 😂

The bottle you have with you seems to be the one with the screw on cap, therefore it is an old bottle since as you know all new bottles come with magnetic caps.
Why is this important? Cause according to many other reviewers Cedrat Boise was actually reformulated recently (with the magnetic cap bottles), not only it doesn't perform the same, it doesn't smell the same either, I guess the only way for you to confirm or deny that would be to try one of the new badges.
If you ask the brand Luis they say it was never reformulated. Doesn’t mean they don’t smell different but that’s the brands stance on it.
Great video! I got mine just yesterday its a 2022 bottle, but I have my doubts on it. For me it smells nothing like fruity notes, all I get is sharp citrus. I dunno whats wrong with my bottle though its my very first niche. Do you think If I let the bottle to mancerate, would that bring out the fruity notes in it?
Give it time Sameh. Initially the lemon will be strong to your nose since you are probably used to smelling designers. You’ll begin to identify more notes and accords the more you wear it and test it.

The intense isn't as loud, a bit darker and more mature. The overlap though means it's not needed though if you have the OG. Maybe get a bottle when you kill a bottle of the OG

I like the original much more than the intense version. The intense version doesn’t last any longer or perform better than the original. The main difference between them is the inclusion of an oud note in the intense version… and that oud note doesn’t seem to fit.. it smells odd and out of place with the other notes.
Yea I can see oud throwing the whole thing off and I like oud.
Am I the only person in the world who detects a hint of unbearable, sickeningly sweet cough syrup/medicine/antibiotic in CB. Bought it blind following the hype and I'm kinda hoping it'll grow on me - and one more thing - not a summer scent for me.

I've sampled a few Creeds - Aventus (not a huge fan), Silver Mountain Water (love it), Millesime Imperial (love it), PDM Greenley (love it), PDM Layton and Sedley (like those, not my cup of tea though) - to tell you the truth I'm a beginner - love freshies, aquatics, airy/ozonic scents, citrus and fruity ones - as all beginners do. My collection consists of 45-ish scents - mostly freshies, most hyped designer fragrances, some clones. CB is actually my first niche 'bottle'.
I bought this a while ago, i like it and get good performance but i never reach for it from my collection im not sure why

I wonder if the original does without the leather scent that the intense has. I hated the intense because of that prominent leather scent.

Never smelled the original but the one I recently tried had such a terrible opening I couldn't understand why so many people like. Seriously made me wonder if I got a bad bottle. Opening reeks strongly if synthetic lemon furniture polish which doesn't surprise me since tonca cola has a really strong synthetic orange furniture polish vibe. I guess their citruses are all like that maybe. And it does dry down into ashtray vibe that gets worse as the dry down continues. It's a no for me. My bottle is still full and I'm selling it.

You have to like leathery facets with synthetic vibes. I have a decant due to the hype but the aventus dna is superior when I want to have a fruity masculine smell.

I bought the new bottle because I had only 20 ml decant of the older one which i had mostly used up... maybe 6 ml left.
Side by side there is a big difference in projection. The og pushes out right at the start much better. Both smell similar up close but og just projects better by alot. Now I doubt a😊nosmia is playing a roll when i have them both on at the same time, but maceration might?
They both still get decent longevity just one sits closer to the skin.
I have a conspiracy theory that when the intense came out they cut some corners on the new bottles of CB to justify people buying the newer one as they did lower the price of the og right after release. Hopefully, I'm wrong and it is just maceration.

Gerard, you might like the Intense, but I don't think you'll want a bottle, because it is very similar. Definitely sample first. On my skin, it was stronger on the woody-leather-spicy notes and the citrus was toned down. I know you're a fan of those notes, but for me, the Intense was stronger on the notes I don't like and weak on the ones I do.

Bleu is more clean and fresh everyday wear. This is too but it’s more unique and I like it better. Bleu is safe and generic but smells great. I personally like this better but your personality and what you like matters too.

This is one of the few that I would consider essential (Dior Homme Cologne, Spicebomb Extreme, NR Bleu Noir EDP, any BdC, GIT, and Cedrat Boise. 🤷♂️), absolutely a solid daily driver in spring. I bought the Intense, meh, a touch of designer-ish oud and eternal longevity. It would be redundant to own both IMO.

Looking for a new signature. Finished a bottle of Montblanc Explorer, looking for something of that sort for daily wear to school, work etc. So Cedrat Boise came to mind. Have not tried it, is it blind buy worthy if I like Explorer? The regular or intense? Mancera is kinda hard to get your hands on where I live. Cedrat Boise Intense is unavailable I think, but the OG is available for like $120.
OG is more than serviceable as a daily driver. I think you would like it if you like explorer. It’s a bit richer with more depth but easy to like.

I tried the sample today. While I really liked the fragrance, especially opening which I found to be very smooth, it quickly disappeared from my skin. I sprayed some more after half an hour and even that was gone in another hour. It hardly projected. Where I live is really warm so it seems like it doesn't go well with warmer climates. Even though I was in an AC room, it seems if I have to get decent performance out of this, I will need 8010 sprays. In that way I am disappointed.
