Another way to tell is 1 finger on a rear camera, and go into camera and go through the zooms. If the finger doesn’t disappear it’s a fake. The fakes only have 1 rear camera, iPhones have 3.🎉

If you already have an old iphone then I’d assume you can tell by attempting to transfer your phone over by putting the two phones next to each other and seeing if it detects the other phone and goes through the transfer process. Or try connecting your apple watch, which I’d assume wouldn’t work on fakes

There's a myth that showing serial number / model is a bad thing. But unless you have iPhone X or older, it doesn't really matter. On X & older, if your serial number is public, someone can use that to remotely put their iCloud account on your device, and lock you out of your own phone

Yeah, or if it’s a brand new phone and you already have an old iphone, you shouldn’t get anywhere if you put the phones together and try to automatically transfer your old phone and apple ID on a fake phone.
Obviously a fake iphone isn’t going to be detected and generate the QR code type picture for your old phone to validate and ultimately transfer your old phone across.
