Группа Крови / Gruppa Krovi but your convoy gets hit outside Kyiv

- The Russian Kyiv convoy was a large column of Russian military vehicles stretching some 64 kilometres (40 mi) involved in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. It has been noted for initially threatening Kyiv, but then halting due to unclear reasons. Commentators have suggested that the large number of soldiers and vehicles may have had issues with fuel and food shortages, and may have also been delayed by attacks from the Ukrainian military. The convoy stalled 8 days into the war, at approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) from the centre of the city of Kyiv; as of 7 March 2022, according to U.S. defense officials, the column had not moved at all for a few days. Following the successful Ukrainian counterattacks in late March, Russia announced it was withdrawing its forces from the Kyiv area on 29 March. Taking Kyiv was deemed to be a key objective and their failure to take it was viewed as setback for the campaign in general.

Do you know what messes me up with the war in Ukraine? Most of the guys killed were around the ages of 18-25
They were propably that random crazy kid we met one summer day in a CS:GO game and had fun calling each other names and laughing our asses off.
there is nothing surprising here. In the countries of our region, people are drafted into the army from the age of 18. The government forces them to serve.
@@ValeriyPersunov that’s not the point, the point is that these guys fighting in a war are in our generation. Never would they have expected it to even happen. One second we’re playing battlefield 4 online and having a blast, the next moment he’s dead in Ukraine.

Female voice: "Were they [the casualties] on our side?"
Male voice: "Yeah, there almost none of us left. We started with over a thousand people. Now there's only four hundred of us left."
I think it was from a video released by the ukrainan intelligence about a standoff between a general and his troops, they lost 600 men, and the general said, you have 20 days to die (their contract was expiring in months worth of time). Hello eveyone! I really didn't expected this comment i left here such long time ago to get so much attention! I'm alive right now. A lot of things changed in my life some to better some to worse , but now i can say that im fine and safe. Considering how this is going, it also influenced my opinion on this whole thing with war. I understand now that despite this war being horrible and wrong... (because any war is horrible , really) i dont have a choice pretty much , its mostly become about who get bombed us or them at that point. If my motherland will lose this war my life wont get better , neither the life of my relatives or friends, so in this time i choosen to support my country while trying to stay human. I cannot flee my country or betray it. Its not about any politics , i guess its just about my future. There is no doubt this war is really cruel and wrong , im close friends with people who lost their homes because of it or whose fathers or brothers are there in the trenches. So i cant abandon my motherland even when something like that happening. I appreciate all the support and comments you all have left here, even if they are negative. So i hope you can understand me, i dont hate anyone , people on the other side of this conflict are the same people i meet every day , with the same worries about their friends and relatives. I try to dont believe the propaganda of both sides and just act considering what happens with me or the people around me. Thanks for your comments again , as i said i didn't expected to get that much attention.
If someone really wonders i was drafted in the military and served there for a year. And there was trips close to the border and where it was happening but i didn't get to see trenches or frontline.
Guck luck. If you are from a bigger city you (for now) won't be sent to Ukraine, as of now the Russian government prefers to use contractniki from minority regions as canon fodder. dude the detail on this wojack is insane, the top pouch actually has an x on the little strap symbolizing "direct pressure" as in a bandage that applies direct pressure as opposed to a "indirect pressure" like a tourniquet which would be symbolized as a circle. the symbols are ment so that if someone is trying to treat you they can instantly find your tournequet or bandage instead of fumbling around trying to find it, every second counts when an artery is squiting blood. and the fact we can't see a circle on any of the pouches (and this is a stretch if it was actually intentional) may lead us to the fact that many of these russian soldiers where poorly armed and most don't even have tourniquets.
Damn that's incredible knowledge, I used some references to draw this and kept to the source images, I didn't know that was what it meant but its great to see how it actually (unintentionally) fits like that!

If you ever go back to anything related to russia, here's another song suggestion. Train on Fire by Aquarium. Most applicable to the Soviets leaving Afghanistan, but plenty of other later historical events of the russians leaving and going home that would fit that song.
I've always been waiting for this kind of video.

i literally heard the "BLYAAD" from the video where guy messes with bear and others tell him to stop...
This song, its really fitting... this song is Gruppa Krovi or Blood Type, the lyrics are Viktor Tsoi's outlook on the Russian Afgan war and how people basically went their to die, one of the lyrics speak of how he wishes he was with his lover instead of in a foreign field, also how he wishes to be wished good luck. Its a really great song that cuts very deep...
Kino was such an amazing band, I don’t even speak Russian but after reading the lyrics only once I can understand it perfectly, the vocals have unmatched emotion. So sad that nothing has changed in Russia since the Soviet-Afghan war. History repeats itself. To any Russians reading this, don’t let this bloody cycle continue, your leaders use you to further their selfish gains while pretending you’re fighting for the greater good. Don’t let them massacre you and leave your country in ruin so they can buy another mansion. Your history is tragic from Stalin sacrificing the Soviet youth for a noble cause Gorbachev in the Soviet-Afghan War to Yeltsin and Putin in Chechnya, can’t you see that Ukraine is another pointless war and that after this one Putin will send you to yet another former Soviet state to fight for nothing but his own greed.
it's hard not to be a Russophobe yourself when your people don't understand such simple things for so many years. it's hard for me to love my people. either I will make my country a better place, or I will die with it, I will never emigrate. this is true patriotism to me
I just needed to talk it out, sorry
You don't know or understand anything. You discovered Ukraine only this year.
@@radziwill7193 yes of course

It's insane that people can really write this kind of non sense : "so that Putin can buy another mansion" ?!
Dude you really think that ? Things are so simple to you ? You never wondered if it was at all possible that Russia was deliberatly pushed by the West through regime coups and Color Revolution orchestrated by intelligence services, into conflicts for example Afghanistan or Ukraine ?

What I like about the comment section here, is that they aren't demonizing these poor souls fighting against Ukraine. A lot of people just straight up ignore the fact that these Russian soldiers are people too, and they could've been people they had really fun times with online or virtual friends, all being killed in action fighting. Even I, someone who is strongly pro-Russia, agrees that this war sucks.

why nobody mentions that all russian soldiers(before 20.09) are professionals that are getting paid for this shit, as a russian myself I don't feel like sympathizing them
p.s. I hate it when foreigners support Putin's policies. he is the fucking biggest corrupt official in history and the Russians hate him, even if someone is trying to prove the opposite to you
Russian soldiers are people? So, 64 brigade, who kill a lot of people in Bucha and my grandmother are people? Russian soldiers, who destroy Mariupol, kill a lot of people and soldiers, who raped woman’s, who kill more like 300 people on dram theater and drove people to Azovstal are people? Russian soldiers, who sit in tanks and shot the buildings with civilians are people? Russian soldiers, who are shooting by artillery to civil houses are people?

When I look at reddit or some places, i don't understand the pure animosity against Russian soldiers, of course they are the aggressors and war crimes should be looked into. But calling other soldiers orc hordes and cheering at their deaths on graphics video. Just morbid and animalistic. No lessons learned from the World Wars.
What about the invaders who came to kill you and destroy your country? Let us (Ukrainians) decide for ourselves whether we should hate the Russians or not; unfortunately we have a very long shared history of hating each other, more than 400 years, like the Irish and the English
Why do you browse the shithole known as reddit?
Why won't people understand that war crimes can never be justified even if it's their beliefs?

Russians never have seen us as a sovereign, independent state. They have always considered us as "subhumans", and our country as "satellite state" at its finest. And our grandfathers've been fighting over our independence for centuries - only for russians to invade again after 30 years they have been trying to f'k our newly independent country up.
