One of the best songs ever made. The instrumentals make you want to dance but the lyrics are like a gunshot to the soul.
The instruments sounds like if they were picked from the battlefield and a soldier started playing.
I do agree, this has been one of my all time favorite songs, ever, but the story it tells is very saddening. Russian/soviet-era music is incredible to me because of how they can have amazing instrumentals over a sad song, war story, or about their history but still make it blend perfectly 🙏 слава родине

One of the best music vids of this song ever, if I could suggest you anything, just change the white colour for white and add some minor black borders to the letters. That way is more visible. Still well managed though

I want footage
I had to reset my pc a while back and lost the file that had all the original footage. If I remember correctly the footage at the start before the vocals is from a 2 minute US clip on the soviet army you can find on TH-cam, the footage from the soviet union is from a documentary on I think the fall of the USSR, meanwhile the footage from Afghanistan is from like half a dozen videos from TH-cam.
