“Your going to run out of space for all of your upgrades just kidding” the bus is just coming along beautifully. Your little helper is an angel your blessed. God bless you and your family.
For anyone else looking at the Victron Lynx Distributor in that kind of setup. He would have been better off just using the Victron Lynx Power In, which is like the Distributor, but without the lights (which unbelievably, don't even work when it's installed alone!). You can easily add the fuses to the Power In and it's a bit cheaper.
Another thing - that red bus bar (a very common one) - they're sold as rated for 250 Amps, but as the actual bar is brass and quite thin, people (who seem to know what they're talking about) say they would only be rated 100 Amps at best.
Good points. You can make a 12v-5v adaptor to operate the lights, or I believe Sotas Solar have an adaptor lead you can buy to do this. This is a bad oversight from Victron, it should be plug n play for the extra price.
The bus is amazing you have done/doing an incredible job and getting help from your little helper always helps. God Bless you and your family.
I'm looking forward to coming to one of y'all revivals you seem like a bunch of blessing people and your family are very blessed I would love to share under the anointing that God put it with y'all
Best purchase I’ve ever made
Holy Sh*t, 1000 Amps??? Wow
Amazing work!
DO YOU HAVE A FIRE SUPPRESSANT SYSTEM IN THAT BAY ? IT LOOKS LIKE A SEALED OFF BAY, IED USE A HALON SYSTEM BRO ! W/ ALARM ? BETTER SAFE THEN SORRY ! LOL SHE IS SO CUTE . ALSO WHERE DO YA FIND A TRUE EARTH GROND ON A BUS ? WITH OUT A GROUND ROD ? THAT IS A VERY NICE SET UP YOU MADE BRO ! ROCK ON ! I WILL PAYTRON AGAIN SOON FINANCES WITH MOTHER IN LAW LIVING WITH US HAS BURDENED ME ! TY
Nikola Tesla is looking down from heaven with a smile. ⚡
😝
You can make the lights work by wiring a 12v to 5v converter into the RJ11 cable and plugging it in. Several videos on youtube, "make the lights work" style.
Another nice “hack” for Victron linc with the shunt and the power switch
Looks great Victron is the Cadillac of off grid question so how much are you into the entire set up so far? And is the coach alternator 12 volt or 24 volt? I'm assuming 12 volt because I thought you said the system is 12 volt. Thanks for sharing
how did you connect the batteries into the Distributor, and where are the fuses (and what type)?
Been with you since the first bus and loving the evolution of your bus. One question. I noticed you mentioned plumbing while in the power bay. Are you nervous having water pipes so close to the electronic brain of your system? I did see the piping was metal but I am nervous for leaks.
It’s a non pressurized water drain. It should not be a problem but we will keep our eyes on it. It is far enough to one side that it should not cause a huge issue if it did leak. Thanks for staying with us so long! 😀
I always have to use one size less on my hydraulic crimper than the size i'm crimping.
Are you using a torque wrench to tighten the connections? (as per Victron manuals for safety)
So I'm adding solar to my 1990 RV That I'm restoring, I don't have a lot of 120 in it other than the fridge and ac and some outlets,My ? is I've bought 600 watts of panels and 400 amps of Batterien, I've used almost all linksy products ,,is there anything I can do to add more as in panels or batteries to beef it up or do you think I'll be all right, this solar stuff is freaking me out ! lol and great videos ,, the other thing is space,,,I have none so I'm using a closet which is next to the breaker box,,any help will be appreciated
The Lynx only uses shunt for 5 v power to activate fuse lights!
Nice video man, thanks for sharing. I see you have battle born batteries? so a full on Victron system will still monitor these? do you have the victron smart bms 500 in your setup?
Yes!
💗💗💗
When will you becoming back to Monument, Colorado
Possibly aoon
👍 ❤ ✌️
Shane will you give us a interior exterior tour of your motorhome
We will!
@@TheBusLifeShow thx 😊
How big did you sized the MEGA FUSES to?
300A for each inverter.
@@TheBusLifeShow meaning kind of 80 Amps value for each of the four?
Thnk you 🙏
@10:15 thats not quite accurate. You can get them working with a simple 5v power source.
Yes that’s true as well.
A system this size should really be 48v, imo.
The electrical part is Latin to me. I will let Johan watch this 😅.
😆
Even with a husband who has over 25yrs as an electrician & owning a plumbing & electrical business, the electrical is still foreign to me as well. Plumbing, no problem. Electrical, not so much!
