I'm on week 14. Might or might not do a yeard, but this is the longest I grown it and it's fantastic. Along with my flannel and leather jacket, I'm feeling macho. Thanks for doing the series.
Man I love watching this type of videos especially from beardbrand... now I've had a beard for about 6 months with a few trims, and throughout the days a lot of people told me to shave my beard because it looks patchy, then I started watching your videos and every time I watch one of your beautiful videos I feel more confident and I know more about my beard, so thank you
My boyfriend has a lot of different colors in his beard too and it actually makes the thing look better. He has everything from very light blonde to red and really dark brown almost black. My brother on the other hand has basically one color through his whole beard and he can grow one glorious extremely big one if he only wanted to. He doesn't like it that much but he actually does look awesome with it and I hope he will eventually embrace it
I work in an office in the tech industry and as I've grown my Yeard I do my best to keep my beard looking tidy in the office and I haven't had any issues with customers or people in the office
I've already done the full on shave ONCE back in May because my friends that graduated college this year never seen me without a beard & gave me a real fresh start on my current one and definitely keeping for the long run.
I’m interested in the beard throughout the day idea. My beard is the same way. Looks nice and tidy when I get it styled in the morning. But the humidity wreaks havoc on it through the day and it drives me nuts!
Yeah, I know all about that here in super humid Louisiana. It's been worse than usual with pretty much daily rain (which is a bit more than usual). It's a constant struggle to keep my beard from curling up onto my chin and poofing away from my jaws, lol XD.
I started getting white head hairs in my early 30's. Just a few here and there. Now, at 41, I have white patches. Might have been there sooner, but I wouldn't know because I was shaving till 2 years ago. As far as the temptation to shave, I had been dealing with that a lot for the last few months. I will hit 2 years on Jan 1st and I'm looking forward to it. However, I thought I had messed up my self trimming so bad that I'd have to take it back down to at least stubble. Thankfully, with Beard Brand's help, I waited it out and got to a point where I was able to do a minor trim. Now, I'm happy with the way it looks and I'm back on track. I thought about beard jewelry, but I'm concerned about the unnecessary weight on my beard hair roots. Beard jewelry can be tracked way back in history to deep into B.C. Keep growing man! You're almost there.
Hi there! 2 part question here: Jack, can you shed some light on how exposure to sunlight affects your beard? I have a similar beard to yours in style, colour and size. I noticed during this summer that my beard has turned into 50 shades of brown + the occasional greys. Is this due to sunlight? And if so, does such a thing as sunscreen for beards exists? Also, have you noticed during the final phases of the yeard that the longer your beard grows actually the shorter it looks because it kinda folds upwards due to humidity perhaps?
I work in a commercial printing press.. My bosses excuse is that the beard could get stuck in the press lol.. Gonna have to tie it soon or risk suspension.. I'm on week 43 myself. Keep up the good work jack
When you finish your yeard journey, and cut your beard shorter, what type of videos will you be doing? I really dig your videos. Very inspiring and educational stuff. Keep up the good work, Jack!
My facial hair started going grey and white while in my mid 20s. It kept me from growing a longer beard for years out of embarrassment. I'm 35 and now 37 weeks into my first longer beard. My beard is mostly grey and white now with highlights of brown, I've embraced the grey and wouldn't dye it.
Looks awesome, Jack. It'll be sad to see it go, but it's been a fun ride. I recently had to shave my 9 month off for marching band, and your videos helped a lot while I was growing it.
I just recently discovered this channel at the perfect timing. My old job position required me to shave every other day. Even a little stubble I’d get written up. Now, I have a new job position and I can grow a beard, and I’m a week inna half into my “yeard” Quick question. A few days in I shaved my neck to my jaw line, but since watching your vids I haven’t shaved at all. Should I just keep it as it is until it evens out, or trim my face to match my neck. It’s not too far off, but any advice would be great! Thanks and great videos brotha.
His t-shirt was first thing I noticed. My kids love Buc-ees, that place is like Target because you go in to get 1 or 2 things only to end up with cart full. Damnit, now I'm wanting some fudge and beaver nuggets.
One of the things I've actually considered doing is a "Minoxidil Month" where I use it on my beard for 30 days and compare it the growth I saw in the first month of the Yeard Series. Of course, I'd have to work out a LOT more details to make sure this idea could be as educational as possible, but, it's a thought! - Jack
That's a great idea Jack. I think that you have great potential, especially in the mustache area. If you see results from the first month then imagine what six months could do. You should check out some guys here on youtube who used minoxidil to see what they grew.
Can you or someone else do a video on the difference between the regular and gold collection for beardbrand products? There’s probably already one, but I couldn’t find it. I am looking into the old money series.
Great series, dude! Let's see a time lapse vid soon. Curious to see the change throughout the day. My beard seems to look it's best in the morning, after I style it and at night, after it's taken a beating from the day
I actually started over on the beard. It was a giant change lol but im glad i did it. Putting oils on my stubbles which is something i didnt do when i first grew it. I think im a just grow it out without trimming alot
It's odd how square our society can be. My brother is a skipper for a tugboat company who have a policy of not allowing any on boat employees grow facial hair. My brother, who has worked there for a long time, and is good at what he does, has managed to buck the system and has a large mustache. Pretty ridiculous though-deack hands working in the elements in ballistically cold winter weather out on the water are not permitted the comfort of a full beard. The same company used to also have mandatory random drug testing. That was eventually overturned as an invasion of privacy.
Also wondering if a shape up trim would help your beard. I know you are just going to ride it out and shave at week 52 but it would be interesting to see your beard after another trim at the barber.
Jack, can you do an a video where you style the beard with a big barrel brush to give it a straighter look. I have the same beard hair. When I style it it's a lot longer and it looks fantastic. DO IT MAN!!!
Jack, its been a month since I started growing my beard and now there are these red spots, lots of them and some are with pus. What can I do about that? Thanks for all the videos, they're really helpful
Hey Jack. I plan on getting a full short beard in my future, and I am 19. Do you have any tips for me? My beard is quite patchy. My cheeks arnt filled, under my chin theres a line of baldness, theres patches on both sides of my neck under my cheeks, nothing under my under lip besides a light soul patch, a very light super patchy mustach, and no hair under the sides of my mustache. Please repond. :)
Love the idea of the time laspe though out the day! Also I think it would be cool to do a photo time laspe of your beard. Like show the years growth in one minute or something.
you look like a god with such an amazing beard and i really appreciate your capacity to fight the temptations...does dying your beard destroy the hair follicles?
Good looking against the red shirt. Week 51 here. I am going to continue to the first of the year after getting a light trim in a month. Jewelry?? I met a man about 2 months ago at Arby's. His beard was about 12 inches long. He had jewelry braided into it. Not me!
Hey Jack..! Hope everything is good! I have a request..! At the last day of the yeard i was wondering if you could dye your beard to complete Black! 😎 The densliest and manliest form to be ever present of your beard! Hope you do that! And until then keep on growing.! 😁😁 Take care buddy! Love beard brand!
You know, on exhausting ideas, it's okay to abandon one if it's not working out, so I don't know why Jack hasn't abandoned the yeard project. Alternatively, he has the potential to break the internet if he trims his beard, and hair, to the right style. The CC beard is boring, but the Pennsylvania Pastor beard is ideal.
I work on an oil field but I must be the only one with a proper beard the biggest beard in my work place people comment people take the piss but hey it’s my face it’s not in my contract to not have a beard, each to there own I have been tempted a few times to shave it off but got through it.
Oh man, that place is wild, when I first moved to Texas I had no idea what it was, but now, anytime I go to Houston or San Antonio, I make a point to stop at a Buc-ee's - Jack
The very very front of the beard on my chin, right in the middle under the soulpatch, about half an inch wide is white (Or at least alot less darker than the rest of my brown beard. Dude you inspired me at the ripe old age of 45 to grow my first beard and keep with it through the awkward phase. Much love from London, England.
My boss told me a couple times that i look unkempt. He's gone now and the beard is still here.
Well, how 'bout that
- Jack
Beardbrand shave the moustache and let’s see how it looks when your gonna remove it all
Ive told people- “Liking beards is an acquired taste. Don’t like mine? Acquire some taste!”
I'm on week 14. Might or might not do a yeard, but this is the longest I grown it and it's fantastic. Along with my flannel and leather jacket, I'm feeling macho.

Hey, the moustache is looking stronger! Keep up the great work man
Thanks man!
- Jack
Yeah, it's coming in good now. Keep it up
My boyfriend has a lot of different colors in his beard too and it actually makes the thing look better. He has everything from very light blonde to red and really dark brown almost black. My brother on the other hand has basically one color through his whole beard and he can grow one glorious extremely big one if he only wanted to. Just did my own two month trim. Neckline was growing insanely. Watched your company's videos and success! Products are nice too :) Thanks Beardbrand!
I work in an office in the tech industry and as I've grown my Yeard I do my best to keep my beard looking tidy in the office and I haven't had any issues with customers or people in the office

I think I'll definitely have to do that one.

at 10:40 Jack hit 88 claps per hour sending him back to 2017 to be tortured by the yeard for another year
Oh please no!
- Jack
😂

If you're tempted to shave your beard, just wear a bald cap on your chin. Solved.

Love to see a time lapse video. Beards can have a life of their own during the day!

Based upon that profile picture, you have one glorious beard, sir!
Looks awesome, Jack. It'll be sad to see it go, but it's been a fun ride. I recently had to shave my 9 month off for marching band, and your videos helped a lot while I was growing it.
Please do a video on your morning beard grooming routine as well as the suggestion you made in the video
the intro, the outro... great
Jack are you gonna fully shave it off at the end of the series or just trim it down?
I just recently discovered this channel at the perfect timing. My old job position required me to shave every other day. Even a little stubble I’d get written up. I get white patches in my facial hair , it travels around my face throughout time. It started in my early twenties
Buc-ee’s, that place is amazing. Great video Jack! Look forward to seeing that new style.
No BS Beard Reviews love those chips. And best deal on a bag of ice anywhere.👍
His t-shirt was first thing I noticed. My kids love Buc-ees, that place is like Target because you go in to get 1 or 2 things only to end up with cart full. Damnit, now I'm wanting some fudge and beaver nuggets.
My beard changes throughout the day, too. You should def do that vid!
Thumbs up for the Bucees shirt!
Have you any experience with minoxidil?
Hey Jack, love the videos! Could you make a video about minoxidil in the future?

Jack u have too much wisdom for a guy in his early 20s
I actually started over on the beard. It was a giant change lol but im glad i did it. Putting oils on my stubbles which is something i didnt do when i first grew it. I think im a just grow it out without trimming alot
Hey Jack, are you going to be shaving off your beard at Week 52, or the week after? Just curious.
It'll all come off in Week 52.
- Jack
Ok, and are you going to show us different beard styles step by step?
Yep!
- Jack
Oh Jack you will regret not trying a couple different changes rather than shaving it all off. Hope you reconsider that.
Dude just trim it and see how it looks with a more styled look. I dig the years but won’t you miss it.
Jack where you been at man I missed seeing your videos keep them up!!!!!
Jack I would like to see your beard nicely trimmed but keeping the length to see how it would look.
It's odd how square our society can be. My brother is a skipper for a tugboat company who have a policy of not allowing any on boat employees grow facial hair. Nice tee shirt “angry beaver!”😀
Mustache looking completely different than a few weeks ago! Great work man started one week before you :) Can’t wait to get my second cut in
The last idea sounds good
Hey Jack, enjoyed the video! I can't believe its almost been a year! I hope you come up with another series or just a weekly program.
Nice video Jack, Beard and stache are looking good, Cheers.
I like the idea of the time lapse!
Also wondering if a shape up trim would help your beard. I know you are just going to ride it out and shave at week 52 but it would be interesting to see your beard after another trim at the barber.

Nice Buc ee’s shirt!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I would love to see the time lapse!
I just might have to do that idea!
- Jack
Do the time lapse!!
What will you miss when you shave your beard and if you can’t answer now will you do a video after the series ?
Jack, nice change up on the close up music. Please have that across-the-board on Before & After photos on the other videos. Tell Eric I said so 😜
Love the buc ee's shirt! They are opening one in Florida soon!
Ah no way! Now all we need is Wawa in Austin and I'll be set!
- Jack
Jack, its been a month since I started growing my beard and now there are these red spots, lots of them and some are with pus. What can I do about that? Thanks for all the videos, they're really helpful
The Buc-ee's t-shirt! Yes, indeed!
Hey, great vid as always! I was wondering if you tried or thought about braiding your beard? Not like cornrows but one or 2 braids?
Hey Jack, a little question - would you ever consider to try a terminal beard challenge?
Jack- What's your family said about your beard recently?
Try to use vitamin e oil that helps with pre mature greying
Love the idea of the time laspe though out the day! Also I think it would be cool to do a photo time laspe of your beard. Like show the years growth in one minute or something.
The hand clapping at the end is fucking hILarious! 😂
you look like a god with such an amazing beard and i really appreciate your capacity to fight the temptations...does dying your beard destroy the hair follicles?
Nice beard Jack I enjoy
I just realized that you are from Texas. Home of the Austin Facial Hair Club, right? Great work on that beard btw
From the title i'm guessing this is going to be a emotional video
I'd be interested to see the time laps idea!
How can I work for beard brand. I have a beard
Do the time lapse!!!!! That would be dope!
Youre beard is better than my
Hey jack
Whats ur fav scent ?
Temple smoke or tree ranger
I'd say Temple Smoke (although I have Tree Ranger in my beard today)
- Jack
I think beards and tattoos will be more common in the workplace as 20 and 30 year olds are more commonly having them.
The bassist for FFDP has dreadlocks in his beard. That can give you an idea of what it would look like. A time lapse would be cool as well.
Purple beard will be fabulous
should totally do a time lapse of your beard throughout the day
yeah do a vlog style video of your day and how your beard changes throughout the day.
Jack i know it must be difficult keeping that bushbaby on your face but your beard is awesome!
Stay stromg brother
Love the Shirt!! BUCKEES!!! The best truckstop/convenience store
Good looking against the red shirt. Week 51 here. I am going to continue to the first of the year after getting a light trim in a month. Jewelry?? I met a man about 2 months ago at Arby's. His beard was about 12 inches long. He had jewelry braided into it. Not me!
Man, you're at the tail end of your Yeard then, congrats!
- Jack
Salute and much success!!!
Yeah go ahead show us how your beard changes daily basis when you wake up and during the day.
Thanks man! I think I'll definitely have to do that idea
- Jack
Hey Jack..! Hope everything is good! I have a request..! At the last day of the yeard i was wondering if you could dye your beard to complete Black! 😎 The densliest and manliest form to be ever present of your beard! Hope you do that! r u gonna make a vid when u shave it ?
Yep!
- Jack
Buc-ees !!!
When you finish the yeard and if you shave all off, make a video jack showing us if you make it at home or the barber
I think we'll do that video here at the Beardbrand studio
- Jack
How can I work at beard brand
Buc-ees!
Love the beard...
And the shirt...
Jack I missed you! But I still can't wait for you to cut that off and hit a style
Missed you too, bud. I'm counting down the days now until the end of the series
- Jack
@@Beardbrand good man Jack take care dude

like the squirrel shirt Jack
I work on an oil field but I must be the only one with a proper beard the biggest beard in my work place people comment people take the piss but hey it’s my face it’s not in my contract to not have a beard, each to there own I have been tempted a few times to shave it off but got through it.
Lucky guy. I met so many people who are "advising" me. You should shave, trim, blablabla. None ever asked why I grow a long beard 🙄 yeard journey 😁
Once you hit week 52 and you decide to do something with your beard, i'd just do a trim and square it up
hey jack loving that t shirt, where did u get it from
It's a But-ee's shirt. A gas station chain found across Texas. www.buc-ees.com
I picked it up from a some of "famous" rest stop business here in Texas called Buc-ee's
- Jack
Buc-ee’s!!! As a Hoosier talk about a culture shock the first time I went there lol
Oh man, that place is wild, when I first moved to Texas I had no idea what it was, but now, anytime I go to Houston or San Antonio, I make a point to stop at a Buc-ee's

Omg I Really love that shirt!!
It's quickly become one of my favorite shirts

The color might just havent settled in just yet in the middle? xD
Does anyone know if testosterone boosters aid in beard growth or is it a myth? I have low testosterone and won’t thicken I’m 23.
1M question: if you are traveling 2-3w to the third world, what would you pack and bring along to care for your beard/hair....
After the big shave you must try the Moustache style It's legendary style jack i hope you try it.
I'll definitely be giving as many beard and mustache styles as I can a try in the last episode
- Jack
only week 49??? where is week 50 & 51??
Here's Week 50: th-cam.com/video/alpzQydybcE/w-d-xo.html
And Week 51 airs tomorrow.
