  • I had a problem with the GPS power adapter vibrating out at inopportune times so I hardwired it in.

Great videos just what I wanted you have answered all of the questions i have about my bike. I found that by putting a rubber o-ring around the power adapter it holds it in the socket and doesn't vibrate out. your fix is more permanent and having use of the power outlet for something else is fantastic.

I appreciate your videos as you seem to be the only one that focuses on the Voyager. Your videos have given me the courage to tear into my Voyager. Also you seem to be just north of me. ( I am in Longview WA) I think when I get a GPS I will use the factory mounting system so that it will integrate with the onboard sound system. This might not matter if you have blue tooth. Thanks again !

Thank you for watching. I see that there is now a GPS mount from Kawasaki for $277.95, but that does not include the GPS itself, does not mention integration with the sound system. To my knowledge there is nothing that specifically integrates with the sound system. specific motorcycle GPS units do have Bluetooth integration with a headset but prices for them start at $400. With the GPS, mount and cable I have about $100 into this, for my purposes at this time it will work just fine, not concerned about hearing the voice as long as I can see the screen good. If it is just sprinkling it is ok, but if pouring rain cant leave it out or have to put a baggie over it. I do have a waterproof case but is bulky.

I don't know about the Garmin you used but the Gamin 595 has a mounting system in the box. To connect to the sound system use this: GPS ADAPTOR CABLE
      Item# K10400-046
MSRP $39.95 From the Kawasaki web site: www.kawasaki.com/Accessories/Item/VN1700BCF/K10400046
      Thanks again!

yeah I know you can with the Garmin 595 but it is specifically made for motorcycle and has a list price of $799. for my purposes I don't want to spend that much on a GPS. If you can afford it, go for it, it is a great GPS set up.

I have a GPS A Chinese knock off of some sort. I have it hard wired to the battery. It comes with its own Bluetooth headset which I have never used. It also has an earphone jack that means it can be plugged into the bikes sound system and directions are then given through the speakers.
