Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe became a global phenomenon, certain Marvel characters were still getting one-off movies that were… not great. In 2007 Columbia Pictures decided that having Nicolas Cage star as Johnny Blaze AKA Ghost Rider would be a good idea. It… was not?
The movie definitely raises some interesting questions. Like why does Johnny sometimes take damage from his Ghost Rider fights and other times doesn’t? Why can’t the devil deal with his son on Earth, why are his powers so weak? Why is Roxanne so obsessed with Johnny when he keeps ignoring her? What’s up with the Caretaker turning into a Ghost Rider and then not helping at all? Who does Blackheart scream at when he first appears? How did this get a sequel?

Fun fact: the Director revealed the reason Sam Eliot Ghost Rider wasn’t in the final fight and leaves is simply because they didn’t have the budget for two Ghost Riders in the sequence.

Kinda funny because if they knew they were not going to do it because of that then why even have him change? Could have easily just said he lots his powers years ago. That way he could train him but wouldn't have to waste money on him changing for no reason.

Missed the most random part in the movie. When the two Ghost Riders are traveling the deasert, they randomly burn up an iguana lizard. And since Ghost Riders powers are all about destroying evil things, that was one evil iguana.
Evil iguana was the final boss 😂😂

I'm an aspiring fiction writer, and I think watching Pitch Meetings has made me better at it... Basically, I imagine that my story gets made into a movie, then I try to come up with things that these two characters might say about it. And basically, if there's a lot of "because", "I don't know", or "so the movie can happen", that's my clue that I've left a giant plot hole that should probably be addressed.

But you can say that about almost any story. I can't really think of a book or movie without plot holes, apart from stories where absolutely nothing happens. The trick is to make the story so engaging you don't notice or don't care about them.

He didn't FORCE Adam and Eve to sin; he just convinced them. This explains not only why he can't control his son in the movie, but also why he can't just take the power back.

The guy playing the producer get paid a lot.. he's a pretty big youtube star. The screenwriter guy is pretty green so i doubt he gets paid all that much.

Jordan Wheeler nothing wrong with that at all my friend! Though I never really enjoyed Daredevil, Ghost Rider is life Nicholas Cage and who doesn’t love that!
Practically no nicholas cage movies do make sense. Lord of War is the only one, because it's an accurate depiction of reality I guess.

Back when studios just wanted a copy and paste super hero origin story to emulate Spidermans success. Ghost Rider would be a better horror movie than action adventure.

How was it?
Ryan Chandler I just started it and the pacing is very off. It feels like your watching a movie summary instead of an actual movie. But it’s not like extremely bad. It’s just different. From an superhero era before Iron Man.

Requesting 70's/80's themed Pitch Meetings for Alien and Aliens, and potentially a 70's themed Actor Pitch Meeting on Sigourney Weaver please.
And rather than just let that be anther copy and paste comment, I feel like I should praise the series again. This is one of the very few video series that I enjoy and tied to a channel I otherwise don't care a lot about, but TH-cam seems to know that enough to put each new episode in my recommended list. The second I see a new episode, I drop eeeeverything. This series deserves more than what it gets.
