Such an amazing song! I too, really enjoyed the flute, sax and synths! This has always been one of my favorite albums from them. It’s been such a great week my friend!
@@retroreactions....A quick update for you….my daughter now feels fine, I’m feeling a bit better than yesterday, but today my son tested positive! My wife is the only healthy one in the house.
Had a dream and Only because of you are excellent songs by Roger Hodgson (from the album In the eye of the storm released seven months before this abum BWYB)
I was in high school when the album came out and I saw their show - my very first big concert - and it was amazing (even without Roger who I saw later solo)! They played the album in its entirety and nearly all of Crime. I have been to hundreds and hundreds of concerts of all genres but this one still stands out as one of the best!
After the title track, best song on the album. Lyrically, there is a hint of sarcasm(perhaps Rick Davies' British attitude coming through).Musically, a bit of this, a bit of that, prog one might say. Superb, well produced/mixed. The flute blew my mind the first time I heard this BTW, all the songs on side one of the album transition into each other(our host noted a transition at the start)
Thanks for being one to suggest this one months ago. You were right! I'll bet the other 3 on the album are great too. Thanks for watching and being first on this one my friend! 🥇
@@retroreactions.... For your next time on this album, the song " No In Between " is almost as good as " Better Days "(and precedes Better Days on the album). It has a moody, contemplative air to it, musically and lyrically.
You should really listen to it. The title track is one of the best long tracks ever with Gilmour on lead guitar. This song here is also one of the best and Cannonball is a classic.
Rick Davies much more jazzy, but for me never the beauty and continuity of Hodgson's compositions. I divorced them when he left, much like Genesis around 1982.
Last decent Supertramp album, despite Roger's departure. Most of those songs were written for the following of Famous last words as Roger's songs for his first solo album, In the eye of the storm. So the Supertramp trademark is still here on those two albums. The following won't be that good.
And Roger's In the eye of the storm? If you're logic, it's not Supertramp either. Supertramp is Rick and Roger with the three other musicians. So Supertramp died in 1983.
Oh Supertramp...what have I done to deserve this glory?? 💙 Thanks for watching! 🥰
omggg holly cow this friggin song is soo amazing supertramp and elo are the goats of music
Love the horn in this.
They did an amazing mini-movie video for this!
I never really clicked with this album, and this song doesn't change that.
This is a great track Brandon and you handled it so well.
Thank you so much Dave. Love all ST eras!!
Tell us Brandon, Tell us. 🤣😀This was a first listen for me. And it does bring me joy as well. 💙💙🎵🎶🎶
G'morning! Happy weekend. 80s Supertramp is awesome!!
Yes, good morning. 80's Supertramp doesn't hold back. 😀You have a good weekend too, friend.🥰
Thanks!!
Brilliant song from brilliant album
I love, how You didn't even pick the very best of Supertramp. They are absolutely awesome. 😀

Such a great album! I knew you'd like this one... Thank you, I'm sure more great stuff tomorrow 😊

Supertramp a very creative group of men this was their last album I purchased

Great to know, thanks!
Don’t know any songs from this album to my knowledge.
Well, this was….,,,, incredible! 🙄
🤔 I highly recommend Cannonball from the same album!
You should really listen to it. The title track is one of the best long tracks ever with Gilmour on lead guitar. This song here is also one of the best and Cannonball is a classic.
@@Kuesel68 GILMOUR? OK I’m sold!
I will have to see if you already watched my reactions to Cannonball and Brother Where You Bound. Always worth more listens though!!
So it starts like The Girl From Ipanema and it's all downhill from there? OK then 😅
😢...😭

Gotcha. Definitely a difference between Rick and Roger's music. Have a great night bud!

Yeah, tried to like this album but without Roger, no SUPERTRAMP (in my opinion).
Still i do not understand if you do not like it and never liked it then why you opened this video.
Sorry but it is typical Hodgson's sect attitude.
And Roger's In the eye of the storm?
