Close canopy, canopy handle down
JFS Start 2
Wait for stable 20% RPM
Throttle to idle
Wait for stable 60% RPM
Switches on: UFC, MFD, ST STA, MMC, GPS,
MIDS knob on
INS knob norm, (LIST + 6, 8min to fully align)
Confirm LAT and LNG, each with ENTR
IFF knob norm
C&I knob UFC
Adjust backup ADI
Switches on: FCR, RDR ALT
Scroll HUD brightness
RDR power on
CMDS mode MAN, CH on, FL on
Arm ejection
Ext/Int lights as required
Check warning panels for warnings
After INS align complete -> INS to nav

What about the Air source? I believe Falcon 4.0 used to require me to set that.

My gripe with the tutorial is if I want to go back and learn only one part of it you have to sit through the whole text dialogues. Hate how you can’t press space bar until the narrator is done talking. Perfect these videos way more as well.

Hey cap I’ve had an idea for a GR competition
Could you do either a F18 or f14 attire scramble competition where whoever starts the jet from cold and dark , lines up with the catapult and takes off , and then lands the fastest gets some sort of reward

This tutorial is perfect for beginner to DCS however in a real life scenario, you would have to do all the procedures for the games tutorial because of safety reasons. If any faults would happen on the epu, caution, or any of the test panels, you would have to abandon the aircraft.

Hi. I dont understand why I can't have the distance of the waypoint in the low corner of the HUD after alignment in normal mode, and it's the same for you. I have just the display of distance with the quick alignment.
One question ins stops at 10 no matter how long I wait and I get nothing from the link 16 like no frendlys or bogies and I can't see Sam sites in the hsd which is weird.
The align stop by 02.0/57 INS and go not more ? What’s make I wrong ?

for some reason my alignment never goes down to 6 also i can't enter my system altitude... Any idea what i do wrong? I Basicly rearm, start the alignment, enter the coordinates - press enter on Lat and Long and wait...
Whenever i i am ready to go. The engines automaticly go up to afterburner even tho i have my throttle at 0.

If I don't press enter on the Lat and Long and SALT during INS alignment, is that why my CCRP vertical line not properly tracking my TGP?

The most annoying thing to me is having to cut off the engine in order to rearm/ refit the plane.
WHY is it that I can't choose my loadout BEFORE I start the mission?
It's really annoying - especially for the Harrier which can't vertically takeoff if you aren't lighter than 23,000 lbs.
you only have to do that on FC 3 planes
full fidelity aircraft dont need a full shut down to refuel/rearm

Do i need a really expensive stick for this or its it manageable with a cheaper stick like the T flight X?
I started with the X. Fine to start with but as you get better you'll def want to upgrade.
Note: Now you need to change the power setting to "Battery" and not "Main PWR" immediately, only do that when your engines are spooled up and you are ready to align
Everything is fine , for me but for the countermeasures I’m not getting any GO sign . Is there any keyboard key for it ?
Btw I tried the aircraft in turning point in the mission editor still no GO sign for the countermeasures
Throtle angle not unlock and 20rpm help..

It’s ok. Just take sometime. Repetition will get you there. Make notes, do the same things each time, that’s how I learned. I’m sure you can get it, keep trying 👍

The one mistake you made was turning on your radar while you are still on the ground. Doing that will slowly cook the insides of the maintenance personnel on the ground that are launching your aircraft. Both at the spot and EOR.

Nah.. I'm lazy now! I learn it, do it 2 or 3 times and after that auto start all the time! I only manualy start the MiG 21, Huey and Spitfire by now.

i think this is now outdated cus i cant make it work this way, but it seems to work when i do the WHOLE start up thing that it shows in the tutorial. eighter that or im just absolutely overwelmed XD shouldnt have bought the f16 to learn DCS in XD

Question did anyone recently get the f-15c for free with the su-27. I don’t know but they just appeared in my modules all of a sudden
It happens when you buy the entire module Flaming Cliffs 3. Can you fly both F-15C and Su-27?
They had a free weekend for the Eagle and Flanker.
You might want to hold down the canopy button until the motor stops whirring so it can properly latch on

Having to uncage the throttle(s) is such a waste of a command.
Well...because almost no one has a flight sim throttle that has idle/cut off detent, so this keybind protect you from accidently shut off your engines.
