      Thank you very much for this video. I'm a brand new, completely amateur drop ship creator. I watched this video at least two dozen times and started and stopped it after every step. It has been immensely helpful. I was able to create some images for t-shirts and for hoodies. I downloaded them to my lab top as PNG files to transfer over to PRINTIFY. Some designs transferred. Some didn't. I noticed that my very simple designs transferred with no issues. My other designs with more detailed images downloaded to a zipped folder and won't transfer over to PRINTIFY. Can you point me in the right direction of how to get around this issue. I'm pulling my hair out because I'm not that tech savvy. I hope it's an easy fix. Thank you again for your help! I love your video and your designs!

      Right! No one ever mentions that you HAVE to have canva pro to make tshirts possible.

    I finally found a video that gets to the point on how to use canva. Thank you! I've been on Printful for 3 weeks and did not know about the file guidelines. There's so much to learn. :)

    Hey! Thanks for this wonderful series. Have I missed the 300 dpi info? I have rewatched the video a couple of times but I can't find the tip on how to generate a 300 dpi design from Canva. I have selected the same custom dimensions and downloaded a transparent PNG, and the resolution shows as 98 dpi on Printful. Could you please help? Thanks a lot :)

    Very detailed tutorial. I've been researching how to do POD and have fussed with converters to get correct dpi and how to achieve transparent backgrounds for several months. I was just about to give up in a state of confusion, but your instructions made it manageable and more clear. THANK YOU - now I'm confident and ready to launch my designs! 🙂

    So far, you are explaining how to do this process the best for me. Having to refer back to your preferred POD provider's site for product dimensions, etc, and everything else, is very important when doing this print on demand stuff and teaching someone how to use something like Canva. At least that's what is seems like to me so far.

    Hi
    This series is great! And great timing for us!
    I have questions about the "business" part if it an I have always been employed.
    What are the legal steps for starting such a business? For example should we have an LLC and have business accounts first? How do we "pay" ourselves out of the profit?
    Sorry for the long question.

    • @HStearnsR
      @HStearnsR ปีที่แล้ว

      Register as an LLC and register for an EIN. Open a business bank account with the EIN. If you're an LLC you can simply right yourself a check to pay yourself. No payroll.

    What is the trick to seamlessly lining up your file on printful? I've tried different sizes and cannot get it right. I'm also trying to do a mermaid scale design if that makes any difference on leggings.

    I just found your channel and I greatly appreciate the way you explain/convey information. I am using Canva or Gimp (best free Photoshop like product imho). I was not able to design mugs by doubling dimensions in Printful as suggested. I also did the EXACT dimensions and kept being asked to remove a layer (which I did) but then it was spinning and freezing my computer and then I had to restart (never happens to me and not sure if this is a Printful glitch?!). . I did not have a problem in Printify but was skeptical of how the quality would look so I wanted to set my designs on the Printful mug products. I never designed anything that did not go directly to factory and was an actual garment from scratch (bias, inserts, inseams, etc.. I would make the samples by hand and then into Tuka or Gerber for factory specs. I have ZERO experience making anything that would require pad printing so, can you suggest a way to ensure the best resolution without altering the integrity of the design? I looked at two tutorials that also rendered the same issue. Note: I am uploading my own designs and not using any of the pre-loaded images or fonts. I designed them all on Photoshop (a few years back) and decided to try this print on demand before I manufacture them with inventory (the best way to make the most money).

    5:40 What do you mean “can use template” ? So why is it for ?

  • @katrinalynn7828
    @katrinalynn7828 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi!! 😊 thank you for your content!! My question is when creating a design with color how do we know the customer will get an accurate color match when they purchase the Tshirt? I know ordering samples helps but that would be a lot to order samples for every tshirt we design that has color in it

    • @SmartMoneyMamas
      @SmartMoneyMamas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Do you mean how do you make sure the colors in your design print like they do in your mockup image? With Printful, as long as you follow the image guidelines for a product, the mockups are pretty accurate. We typically try to order a sample of at least one shirt (not every color, just one shirt of one color) to make sure we like how the design shows up. But otherwise, we note in the product description that colors may not be exactly as shown on the screen due to different screen settings by device.

    Don't you need to change DPI to 300 to get the best image and not blurry? This is where I'm stuck with Canva, you can download png without background but the dpi is low. Does it not matter for POD?

    Hi there. I loved your video. I'm new to print on demand. Just putting together a few images before opening my store. Having issue previewing downloaded image from Canva. Image has white background with black text.
    Before downloading, I save as png , select 'transparent background and increase size by 3.
    When I preview it on my laptop the background is black as well as the text, the different colours in the design are fine.
    It works fine when previewing images with white text on a black background. Hope you can help? Thanks

    Great video and extremely helpful, thank you. I have a question, did you say the free fonts are not allowed for commercial use and we need to get those rights? I know how to purchase and upload someone else's created font, but how do I go about applying for permission of use of the free fonts?

    Hey hello! First time on your channel and I love it. Thanks for you content. Do you think text-based t-shirt designs sell well? Besides Canva what mobile phone app you yould suggest for t-shirt designs?

      It really depends on the niche and design! Having a good niche where people truly feel connected to the design as part of the identity (people like me buy things like this) is the biggest part of sales.
      I don't do any design on my phone, but I do know Canva has an app. I do design on my iPad with Procreate.

    Hi I'm brand new here. Not sure if you'll see this since this video was 2 years ago lol. I am SOO confused and trying to look things up for days and perhaps since this is an older video, things have been updated but I see people online mentioning that they on their designs saved as a PNG file because the design needs to be a transparent background but PNG isn't 300 DPI so people are saving as a PDF Print (in Canva) and then converting it to a PNG in a program like Cloud Convert but then I can't figure out how to get it back to a transparent background. All I want is a PNG file with a transparent background that is 300 dpi. Thanks for any help. I am SO new to designing and I am so frustrated lol
