    Solid review, zero BS, just this is what the saw is. I like it, wish more people would do reviews like you.
    I'm just a firewood guy myself, have looked at the 660 clone to handle the stuff that's too big for my 034S. I'm still on the fence. It'd be a toy, and not really needed. 40+ cords of firewood with the 034S over the years means that's a solved "problem" already. Also, my main saw would always stay a legit Stihl. Takes too much work, planning, and sacrifice elsewhere to get a day in the woods to allow an unreliable saw to throw a monkey wrench in the works.

    Great video! I cut a lot of wood with my farm boss but occasionally I need a little more power to cut up the bigger stuff. They had the Black Friday price so I got mine for 180 plus 52 shipping. I like to work on my own saws so I can’t beat it!

    I had one of these chucked on a shelf, new, never started - mainly as we had another Holzforma model & it crapped out fast - so I chucked the G444 into Stores & ignored it, assuming it was Chunk like the other one. New genuine Stihl 24" bar & chain on - I'd also assumed nobody had bothered fitting a bar/chain.. they had.. Pulled it out there this evening because "shiny new bar blah blah" - and yeah.. It runs strong, cuts good - no idea how it would hold up, but right out the gate, it pulls pretty hard & certainly cuts. I may even have to stop calling them rubbish...
    Going by this, some several drops of Loctite onto the crucial bolts may be in my future - I'm gonna drag it down the forest & give it a hot supper - have to say, there's a nice noise out of it right off the bat - it sounds rorty. I may even bother my a$$ modifying the muffler & giving it a tune - Factory tune sounds a bit off tbh - idle setting certainly is - but yeah.. maybe they're alright. Who knew? Don't bother pressing the cissy-button when starting one btw - they're a small enough saw, they start fine with it left alone, maybe even better. More sucky - which the cissy-button kinda ruins. And short pulls - keep the recoil start in the sweet spot - no long pulls - same as for any "weak" recoil start - stay in the middle Zone - or that'll bust - it'll be you, not it. If a thing is breakable, known weakness, it takes skill not to break it. Breaking stuff is easy - not breaking it is hard. Same even applies to shovels. My Old Lad used break endless shovels... It wasn't the shovels, it was the shovveler.

    Just ordered the 92cc version of it! Same as the stihl 660 and which is great cause if anything breaks makes parts easy to get! Just go to the stihl dealer and bam back in action!

    • @WreckingBall541
      @WreckingBall541  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice. I ended up putting a stihl carb on it and it doesn’t leak anymore. And put a plug where compression release was. She does the job when it comes to random small tasks. I bought a 461 because I needed more chain speed for the falling trees at the property I just got. But old blue thunder is on my landing/where self loader is loading to get any knots I miss. Haven’t been around the 92cc one but wouldn’t mind checking one out just heard they were gonna discontinue the 461 so had to pick one up.

      @@WreckingBall541 yea I own my own company doing landscaping and land clearing and excavation and always wanted a ms660 but the blue thunder g660 has been making a hell of a good rep and is interchangeable so finally a dream come true! But if want a local us dealer theres a guy in iowa that sells them and breaks them in and lock-tights all bolts that usually come lose and sells aftermarket kit to give the saws more power! He's got a youtube channel too

    i used to be a faller in my younger days. I run a MS361 pro, which they keep saying they will easily blow up. Its really a ripper! But, I also do things like run an Alaskan chainsaw mill here on the hometead, and dont wanna blow up my good saw. So I oprderedme one of these here Sum-bitches with a 28" bar and full skip wood eaters. I may do a similar video once I get it, unboxing, running, and then maybe like a 6 month review. thanks for the vid buddy!

    • @WreckingBall541
      @WreckingBall541  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s decent for small amounts of use but when falling or saw milling I’d get something a little more reliable. Seems like the trick to keeping a saw going is keeping chain sharp and not running them completely out of fuel

      I forget the reason but ended up getting an echo 7310. I dig it. It’s kind of a toss up weather or not I like it better than my personal 461. I think my old blue thunder is still going, pretty sure the yarder op on the big side keeps it in his pickup in case he has to cut anything out of the road.

    They are great for the money!!!! Lots of people need a bigger saw every once in awhile and don’t have $1,000+ to spend. So they have their place in the world. They are not meant to replace Stihl or Husky but to give poor ass people like myself chance to own a big saw for a reasonable amount of $$$$$$

      It’s good for smaller tasks. My personal saw is a 461 and if I know I’m gonna be falling trees at work I grab a 461 from the boss or coworkers that have them. For random bucking and limbing or a tree down on the drive to work old blue thunder does just fine. I’ve got a stihl carb and recently put a plug where the compression release goes. I’m wanting to try the 7310 from echo it’s made in the u.s and has some solid reviews
