Idea for NEO A New Day: Neku gets shot again

I honestly would have loved a TWEWY AR RPG. Each week provides a puzzle to solve, a location to visit, a boss to defeat, or a PVP/PVE event where the player or the player's team must maintain control of an area for the longest amount of time or keep noise reduced in that area.
Erasing noise would play similarly to TWEWY for mobile. Actually moving IRL to find and defeat noise can be bypassed with a lure that attracts and spawns noise to your location. Threats can be purchased and will appear on your personal avatar. Speaking with NPCs, purchasing their wares with in-game currency, and completing quests for them would increase your standing with that NPC and offer discounts and more EXP and a higher drop rate within x feet of the location.
Once the week is over, any participants during that week are rewarded with a prize. Players who contributed more than a certain number of points would receive bonus rewards. It'd be tier-based. However, contributing more wouldn't necessarily mean that you get the best items. The item for the week is always A-tier, but contributing more means you get more items including a chance at getting another A-tier item.
I've had this idea since 2016-2018-ish. But I had another video game project that I was already working on, and I didn't think that I could create a TWEWY vibe without breaking copyright law. So it was scrapped. I had some ideas for being promoted to reaper status and what the game would be like with that, but it was never fleshed out.

Here’s an idea I came up with for Rhyme’s latent ability. Being able to sense powerful Noise in a given area.
Or manipulate certain kinds of noise
I think it would be even more cool if Rhyme's latent ability was to switch back to her Squirrel Noise form

hell, I would take just non-canon DLC that made her playable in the post game. Anything to get playable/party member Rhyme to be a thing.
I've fan-named Tsugumi's brother "Suzume" because Tsugumi means "thrush", which is a small bird, and Suzume means "sparrow", which is another small bird, so it kind of shows they're related. Also they sound similar.

Also it's mentioned in the secret reports, Tsugumi's brother sacrificed himself to tie her life force to Mr. Mew so she could survive the Inversion.

I hope they go the same route as the first game and don’t make Rindo the main character the same way they did for Neku. They’ve both already completed their character arcs. I would like to see Rindo and friends again, but I’m okay not seeing them be used again.
They can come back as cameos. Like as NPCs walking around or even shop owners. Which is what I was expecting in NEO tbh. That maybe Eri would show up in Gatto Nero once you max out your VIP status
@@littenfire3563 I’m surprised that didn’t happen lol. Most of the NPCs from the first game are not in the second game. My idea is that it’s a partial message from the developers to not focus so much on nostalgia. And what supports this is the the first game’s characters don’t actually do much in the plot.
To be honest, one of my least favourite things about NEO was the return of old characters, as i felt detracted attention from the new ones as their plot suddenly took much more importance.
In my head, a perfect twewy sequel should be a story with a brand new cast. Nothing wrong with re using some reapers, but that’s as far as i’d personally go.

I wish they incorporated different outfits in the base game, classic outfits for some of the returning cast would’ve been really cool, and it’s kind of weird they didn’t because if you give Beat a monocrow mask it actually shows up in battles, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Neku’s original outfit was supposed to do the same
As cool as that would be for Neku, his original outfit wouldn't fit him anymore in NEO. He's like 5'7 or 5'8 now so he's outgrown his OG clothes. They'd look too small on him

"Classic" mode - giving characters their classic outfits
Checkpoint system - when rewinding days, choose the point which you want to go back to
I love the idea of NEO getting a XC2 torna-style DLC/new day thing
3 things i would want 1. is changeable costumes. 2 Is having the ability to pick your starting point when your replaying a day like lets take day 5 of week one you can ether choose start the day over like the default option or before the change our fate section or at the end of the change our fate section where you start the boss fight at. And 3 would be a group of post game chapters where you see what (spoilers)
Neku was up to before joining the Wicked Twisters and what Sho was up to after leaving the Wicked Twisters

The fact that there isn't a way to create pre-set thread loadouts you could switch between is a big quality of life oversite. There was so many times I just wanted to switch between my drop-rate wear, my regen/defense wear, and my attack boost wear. If you're going to have a autostyle system it can't be that hard to have a outfit save feature

I would love it if we got a DLC with more sidequests with new social network perks, also new stores and restaurants would be cool too, but it doesn't look like we'll get any of that... Neo deserved better.
I think it isn’t getting DLC because the game’s already complete on its own. A game should only get DLC if it really needs to complete some stuff. This game’s narrative has definitely been completed. They covered their bases. (If anyone’s argument is that the game is not good, a game not being good is not the same as a game not being complete) The only thing that should be added is sequel hook material and more postgame bosses. I think people are too use to DLC in games now. I think game companies can rely too much on DLC when they should be aiming for a complete experience from the get go.
@@sakonan4883 I agree with you that this game is already complete and that DLC shouldn't be used as an excuse to release unfinished games, but I was asking for extra stuff yo, and the reason I said I would love a DLC is because I would totally prefer it over a new version of the game.
@@sakonan4883 I...don’t agree. Games can have DLC even if they are completed (See: Smash bros and Breath of the Wild). If the developers have more ideas that could enhance or take advantage of the game’s mechanics, and don’t warrant a full sequel, then i think the DLC format is perfectly appropriate.

Rindo's mask is the generic facemask, pretty sure. and frets scarf is also a purchasable accessory
this game doesn't needs better models it needs frames.

The models up close look pretty bad at times, and they look quite dead lmao.

I think the game does a closeup on shiba's bossfight and that's it.
If they make a remix they should add a mechanism where if you lose in a big chain of battles you get the exp up to the round you lost
I can't count how many times i dropped the game because i lost in the 12th round and lost the progress of 30 minutes
Better idea: Make checkpoints during long chain fights, on 5, 10, and 15th reductions.

Kubo is the one that gave Rindo his time travel ability. Rindo even admits to Shiba that Kubo was using him too, not just Shiba.

My biggest problem with the game is the lack of info and clunkyness during combat
Id add a list at the bottom left corner that displays the names of the enemies and you could cycle through them with up and down on the dpad, because changing with the right stick almost feels rng
And also make the party members more visible, the amount of times one of them gets hit off screen and i die are more than what id like to admit

My opinion is that Maybe they could have Been Able to Organize the pins more effectively so I can find and try to get them alot easier. I Wish they could've been able to make Kanon An Official Team member of the twisters During the Mr. Mew Fight (2nd), also Allow us to be Able to select how many characters can be on My Team. I feel like fast travel would take away from the game. However I would like there to be like an option to order food deliveries from anywhere on the map once you become a regular at a restaurant

As much as I would love it ( NTWEWY is one of my favorite games of 2021 if not my favorite) this game sold so poorly that I doubt Square will touch this IP in the next 5-7 years minimum
It saddens me cos i personally love the style and music, and because the first game might be my all time favourite, but i was incredibly disappointed with this game.
I downright hated most of the story and didn’t enjoy my time with it. It’s my personal biggest disappointment of the year.

honestly, even if only one party member could follow you it would make it so much better.
and yeah, not showing the outfits on your character models was such a disappointing. I get why they did it on the first game and it was disappointing then and considering 3D models are easier to swap clothes, i was really disappointed about it :(.
