Let's never forget. Terranort withstood Donald's """"Zettaflare"""" if only for a few moments just by crossing his arms. And given the context of the moment, I'd wager a guess that powerscaling and how powerful a spell is didn't matter in comparison to giving an excuse to make Donald "die" and take Terranort off the board for the rest of the scene. Basically what I mean is, it's pointless to actually talk about Donald's Zettaflare in a scaling/serious sense on either end[damage to opponent/damage to user] because it's sole purpose is to not be an actual attack but just a Kamehameha to take out Terranort and have Donald die ass-up. Like seriously, he doesn't even try it later after Sora reloads his last save and is more busy being terrified over "giant Shadow Heartless horde #3". And if we were to try and take this in a serious scaling sense it would still be weaker than...pretty much most big FF attacks, especially Bahamut's Flares because it's like an unspoken rule that Bahamut's Flares are always the top dog in a series where Flare attacks done by anyone else are inconsistent in their power. ....basically sho wins regardless.

Hey! I'm a bit of a loremaster for the Bravely series and i can give you some clarity on roughly how powerful Airy's Zettaflares are. Towards the end of Bravely Default, the fourth wall is moved behind the player as it's revealed that Airy has been (in-lore) linking the worlds of save files between real-life cartridges of Bravely Default in order to summon her Lord and creator, Ouroborous, and allow him to devour said worlds to power up and eventually escape the game and invade real life. During the fight where Airy uses Zettaflare, Ouroborous is loaning her his power. In other words: Airy's Zettaflare should roughly be powerful enough to destroy an entire world without her breaking a sweat. ..."Bravely characters come beefier than most" is an incredibly accurate statement if not a massive understatement, particularly towards the end of the game.

Sometimes I look back at this and just look at the chaos and think: I BEAT THAT?! It’s so weird seeing bullet hell gameplay and just thinking that you couldn’t do it, because it’s a bullet hell. Until you realise you already did it and it’s not that chaotic.

Thing about the Level i Flare is that it isn't even the attack's _power_ that's defined by its grading. That'd be its _range._ As you said, Level Flares target things whose level is a multiple of the Flare's level with (at least to my knowledge but I could be wrong) an unavoidable attack. As such, a Level 1 Flare would arguably be the strongest, as it would consistently target every single enemy and ally in the battle. After all, any standard level is automatically a multiple of 1. Problem: Sho uses a Level _i_ Flare. i is the square root of -1, and _everything_ is a multiple of it. Fractions, negative values, fake/made up numbers, and even _nonexistent_ numbers are all multiples of i, which means that by the rules of a Level Flare, this is an attack that attacks _literally everything_ without exception. The only limitation seems to be its inability to move beyond the plane of reality Sho is in at the time, but that would also explain why Joshua felt the need to leave to an entirely separate world. You _will_ be hit by the Level i Flare, even if you don't _have_ a level for a Level Flare to target. Going to an entirely separate plane is the only way to reasonably dodge it.

In Bravely Default Zetta Flare ist actually a very deadly Attack. Airy's Acedia she uses before hand makes you weak against Fire and Zetta Flare is a Fire Attack of course. The reason it did nothing in the lets Play Video ist because of Stillness. Its a Skill the Spiritmaster can use to temporaly make both the Party and the enemies invulnerable.

You forgot to account for the variable that Sho was caught in the blast rather than Donald be simply drained from the attack and wasn't other wise hit by the attack.

So, it's funny you mention KH4 at the end, because the existence of Quadratum makes this _even more_ complicated. Remember, the plot of TWEWY starts from having Sho and Joshua shooting each other. With four shot revolvers. Now why in the hell would they do that when they have (or at least have access to) damn near god like power. Because Imagination doesn't penetrate the real world worth a damn. Every time Joshua shifts planes, he powers down. This is why nobody recognizes him (Except Minamimoto, who probably spent a month doing the math to figure out how to detect him). Thus, in theory, Level _i_ Flare having it's power tied to Imagination means that it's probably a move exclusive to a non-physical plane. Or, if you will, a _Fictional_ world. Unreality. Which then implies one of two things in terms of this ridiculous yet fascinating match up. Which one it is depends entirely on literally are we supposed to take Ansem's tirade about Unreality. Because either, 1. The "fictional world" is meant to be taken as a literal descriptor. Or, 2. What is and isn't "reality" is relative. Quadratum sees itself as reality, and the greater KH cosmos as fictional. If it is the former, then it's a pretty cut and dry case. Quadratum is a place that, theoretically, is made up purely of Imagination. As such, Level _i_ Flare is a radial nuke that just obliterates anything inside it, assuming that the fight happens in Unreality. If it happens in Reality, then Minamimoto is powered down to a normal human, and (barring Taboo shenanigans) can't do much more than shoot the duck. _However_ if Reality _is_ relative, then we get into a whole other set of complications. Because then we hit a snag on another if/than statement. Because then we have to question again what an imaginary number means in this context. Because if it purely means that it targets someone who's level is defined by an Imaginary Number, going off a literal interpretation of the spell's name, then Kingdom Hearts using a traditional RPG system bites the Duck in the ass. But if this fight takes place on the KH side, then it might end up not doing anything since that series has zetta screwed up physics. Sho would probably have an anyurism trying to figure out why the math ain't mathing. But then there's my personal interpretation of what "Imaginary" actually means in this context. I don't remember exactly why I came to this idea, but I remember someone in game talking about the Level _i_ Flare and said something peculiar about it. Which lead me to believe that "Imaginary" here doesn't refer to a number in a literal sense. But rather, a being made out of Imagination. Or, more accurately, a being made of or powered by Imagination. In other words, this was a spell developed _specifically_ to nuke Angels. However, if our interpretation here is that "reality" is relative, and Quadratum is a "reality" separate from the rest of the KH Cosmology, then that means that we can view them as "A world with magic" and "A world without magic." Or, in other words, the main KH Cosmos is a world made of Imagination. Which not only means that Donald can be targetted by Level _i_ Flare, and probably atomized alongside Sho, but also that leaves the door open for Sora to potentially be an Angel-class being if Nomura bridges the gap between KH and TWEWY. So anyway, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

flowery gives me a new way of seeing the boss. not only does it say to give determination, hope and that it’s important to ask for help when you need it, but that not everything has to end the same way. flowey says that there are only two ways to end someone/something. kill the person/thing, or be killed. either by killing yourself, or someone/something else killing you. flowey holds so much power with the six souls, and he decides to use this to his advantage. he just doesn’t want to kill you, he wants to see you suffer as long as you can until you die. he’s a god, and he has broken the fourth wall which means he can do almost anything that he wants. even cheating or controlling the souls to give him power or attempting to kill you is just as easy. in the end, flowey has been defeated; thanks to the souls. again, you have two options. kill him for the last time, or spare him. when you finish off flowey, he says, “i knew you had it in you.” depicting that flowey was right the whole time. and killing is the only thing, but when you spare him, he tries to make you kill him because he is aware about the deaths and how everything ends the same way. yet, even if you keep giving him mercy, he is confused and wonders why you aren’t convinced. even when he states he’ll kill you, and everyone that you love. while he’s defeated, he’s a stubborn flower who is responsible for your suffering, and many other horrible things he’s done. and he still thinks ending you is the only way to win. but he can’t understand why you’re being so nice to him, and not deciding to finish him. he runs off in the darkness, in sadness and confusion. showing that there’s no one way to get victory. even with mercy, you can still win.
