Have you gotten any of these cars back on the road in MD as a normal person? i live in MD and bought a stolen and recovered camaro and wonder how much of a stickler the MD police salvage inspection is with receipts and whanot. Thanks!
Tech tip, put the starter on without the transmission and crank the vehicle before installing the transmission to verify the seal isn't leaking after replacement
That's how I always do It, and I've got a few mechanic buddies and they do it the same way. Also the codes are not a concern, all your doing it cranking the vehicle verifying it doesn't leak. When you install the transmission back the codes will clear.

Finding your channel has made my life complete. I thought I was the only one who had stupid issues when once found was like duhhhh. Keep em coming scrapper I dig your content. You’re making me want to try out the @scraplife
Never realized how heavy Mustangs are. Damn, my 05 Rubicon is only 200 lbs heavier. Such an awesome build. Been binging your channel, so many great builds.
Seemed like you got depressed with the issues happening 1 after another with this build. Taking 3 wrecked cars and make into 1 great car. Man, you got expect issues. Props to you guys for figuring it all out. You got a sweet ride in the end. Great content and great job!
I have a Boss 302 with T56 Tremec swap as well. They do add weight over the factory shitbox transmission but well worth it. Your BBS wheels are 10 lbs lighter per corner and getting very rare to find. Throw on some quality CC plates and max the negative camber out for the track. The Ford Performance front control arms are worth the money as well. Gets rid of the hydro bushing and gives you a taller Howe ball joint. Get a lot of air to those front rotors ! These cars are heavy and brake peddle with suffer after a few laps if you don't. Don't want you to miss out on ay more track time. Great build and problem solving on this Hoss 302 ! Love how it turned out .
That is a McLeod RXT twin disc clutch rated for 1200 HP same one I have in my 67 camaro. That hole assembly goes on a specific way. Before you pull it off you need to mark to flywheel to pressure plate and the center. They do it from McLeod but they use a marker that wipes right off
I like that your show the process of sorting the car. Always a process with a full build. Ive had problems w/ late Ford electricals, & never had them apart like that! Drum brakes in the rear probably would not have squeeked. Car looks great! Dubs
Awesome car man i have a 2011 5.0 myself so this really hits close to home and 3550lbs is not bad for a modern muscle car the new S650 is damn near 3900lbs and chargers and challengers are 4000lbs plus can't wait to see what you do next with old hoss
I see Ford didn’t learn from its own mistakes. Had a Focus 20 years ago; bought it used to fix it up. Windows, AC, wipers, turn signals didn’t work and the vehicle only started in Reverse (manual transmission; randomly found that out and was able to drive it to my shop). Found 1 loose ground (barely an 18gauge wire, tightened it and everything was working correctly. Amazes me that they control so many things with one tiny ground!
Thats wild that you go to summit point. I have to go there for work often on the government side. Nice location to go do some testing! Make sure that you get one of those red and black summit point shirts.
13:-05 Yea no joke! Although it could have been a ghost problem that might have haunted you for weeks. A basically stock car from factory like that you just wouldn't think it would be tuned for pure E85. One more bonus out of it is that it will have gained more power and torque because of it.
Great series, but it hurts me inside. I had a 2013 Grabber Blue Boss 302 that I totalled in 2017. Wish I had a shop to fix it as it wasn’t as bad as either the white Boss or the LS. 😢 Hearing that engine rev and crackle makes me miss it greatly. Also having one kid start college this fall and another in 26 start college means I must stay toy free for many years still.
Oh man, I tried to do that years ago on my Mustang I had at the time - draw the trans in by the bolts - and broke an ear off the trans. Sounded like a gun shot. Ended up just putting it back in with the broken ear and traded the car in. Thanks for helping me relive a terrible memory! 😂
Geat to see you hepling the boys over a Goonzquad! Ive been a fan of your for a while, but i have been following them for 6yrs! All you guys put out some FIRE content!! Thank uou@
I have a 2012 comp orange Boss that I've tracked at Barber Motorsports Park, Atlanta Motorsports Park, Road Atlanta, VIR and Corvette Motorsports Park. The only mods I've done are brake ducts, pads and fluid, it's a very fun car
That was a fun build. Looking forward to seeing some track days in this thing. Great cars in their day, but I think an S550 build with the IRS would make a better handling car. On another note, all these new cars are becoming fat with all the latest technology and safety features. My Mach 1 weighs around 3800lbs and you feel every single ounce on track.
What a sweetheart, big red HOSS,just a tiny little ask, find a set of stock mustang rims and powdercoat them the same or damn near red thats on your HOSS, the leguna seca/Gallagher silver paint is perfect just saying, cheers from australia 🇦🇺
At 12:48 - the gas fill door has a sticker on it that says "no E85". 👀🤔 My 95 mustang is 3850lbs thanks to the sound system, IRS swap, steel Bell housing, aluminum twin-disk clutch, 20" wheels and a 22.5 fuel tank. I still have a 49/51 weight balance split to the rear thanks to an aluminum engine block. 💪😎
Do a crank relearn, it can be done on most tuners or tablets. Should be done whenever the clutch and trans are changed, especially if the reluctor wheel was removed.

I thought the same thing, but I'm a amature so I assumed they did what was right. I dunno though. I think i would have ran it first before reassembly.
That's a great tip
itll throw an insane amount of codes that take a certian scanner to clear

When he said A Thousand bucks in paint I felt that in my soul. Red paint cost the most to body match.
Loved the Boss/Hoss build. 17k for that car is a steal. Should make a great HPDE play car.
Nice hoss 302! Love the color and the sound! Nice burnout!
That front weight bias is what makes Mustangs so attracted to crowds.😉
The solid rear axle and the price point don't help either.

Do a crank relearn, it can be done on most tuners or tablets. Should be done whenever the clutch and trans are changed, especially if the reluctor wheel was removed.
Forscan ftw
Youll need to do a crank relearn after removing that relucror wheel.

Amazing setup
Sweet ride. The only thing in my opinion is the front bumper spoiler is obnoxious
Crank walk ? Did you check the thrust on the crank? Crank thrust bearings take a beating with manual trans
