Just wanted to thank you guys for producing these videos. You all get a lot of crap for various things maybe some warranted and others not. Truth is half of these people don’t run businesses and maybe the other half or the other quarter that do, never blast or post any of their internal dealings for the world to see every week. I find it valuable and I think it’s awesome to watch deals succeed, or fail.
Thanks Josiah, we’re glad to have you as a viewer of the channel and appreciate the comment. Have a great week and keep an eye out for more deals to come!
The Rolex is a better watch imo, i bought a submariner in switzerland in 1978, it was the right size for me, and it had unidirectional rotatable bezel. Now, I'm curious to see how much it's worth today, so I'm planning to do a little research.
Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $22million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
How did you grow your portfolio to $22m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
I have a financial advisor (trader) she grows my liquid assets and I reinvest the weekly payouts back into real estate and long-term ETFs like VOO and SCHD. I have also started acquiring some tech ETFs IITU and IUCM.
While I agree, it makes some sense. Right now, they risk holding onto product longer than before when it was flying off the shelf. If the market declines before they sell, they need the extra room to make their margins without taking a loss. if it sells right away, it means higher profit on that piece giving them more of a cushion when sales are low for the week. When product is expected to sell the next day, you can tighten it up and know you are making the typical 10-20%. I think this is starting to put more of a discrepancy between private sellers and grey market. Private sellers don't have overhead.
Have you ever put the yacht master on your wrist? You’re entitled to your own opinion on whether you like it or not because watches are very subjective, but put one on see how you like it. That’s the only fair way of really knowing whether the watch is something great. Personally, the rhodium is a lot better but both beautiful watches. The platinum on the watch pops when you see it in person.
Spotting the difference between two references of full gold Daytonas can be very difficult, as this customer finds out. An avid collector of the world famous Daytona range, he’s come to see if he can make a deal with Josh, part exchanging his 2016 steel, black dial 116500 reference Daytona for a full gold version. I could have sworn that was a she/ her
4:45 thanks Stuart for talking to the viewers like we are 6 years old. Yes buddy we understand, the customer is keeping his brought in watch. We get it.
I own a DJ 41 azurro with jubilee & white gold bezel. 36mm for men is old school, these days women have the 36mm. I just ordered my steel submarine date btw :) Note* if you like the 36, go for it. that most people wear it doesn’t mean you cant like it.
@@RicardoNasser the datejust 36 will stand the test of time, it already has. It’s for everyone, especially for people with class. It looks and wears so much better and is more comfortable and I have a 7 inch wrist. I rather have a 41mm submariner over any datejust 41. It wears way better, all measurements come together in perfect harmony. The DJ41 has flaws and a dial that is way too big compared to the rest of the watch. It’s screams “hey look I’m wearing a Rolex watch” and it looks like you’re compensating for something. I can’t get that out of my head everytime I see it or try it on. That’s why I went with a 36.
@@key4duty I know, some people say that indeed. Just like some say a submariner can not have a date. Anyways it’s all personal and let’s be honest. Most people have no clue about watches and the history, it’s just to show-off.
@@josiahschaffer9652 For similar sort of money as the Calatrava I'd choose a Breguet Classique Moonphase any day over the Calatrava, but they are two very different things.

Sure it's all about DCA, could you please share her name with me or any details so I can look her up online? Thanks!
She is well known as - Diana Leayani Lara. please do your own research.
A good selection of watches today. Just what i like to see. Great content guys.
We’re glad you’re still enjoying the content KC, you’re one of the real OGs. Have a great week!
@Watchtrader Thanks guys. Yep one of the first subscribers. Always great content so will always tune in.
Two tone with the black face 😮💨😍 naughty!
Am I wrong but it looks like grey market dealers are low balling and selling high 🤔 much higher mark ups now we are in the dip
Totally agree with that statement 🤙
Dude, you should start your own company. And make razor, thin margins then maybe someday you could write a book about it.
ye that day date would of been up for 13k after paying 7k glad guy kept it

Fantastic content. What's the watch on Josh's wrist? That looks awesome!
Appreciate the kind words. Josh is wearing the steel and rose gold GMT-Master II ‘Rootbeer’
Watches are so delicate and intricately designed, so I have intense respect and admiration for MaMaCoo watch makers

I see you gentleman always looking at cell phones when quoting prices. What website do you use to reference values? Great videos!
Chrono24 most of the time.
It’s like a TV presenters rolling script. Without it they would be speechless 😂
Usually it’s our inventory system so we can see current stock or recently purchased / sold watches. Thanks for tuning in
5:09 Ouch, I’ve seen 3 of these in the window of an AD abroad for £30k with the tax saving
You like white dials? Get the Rolex GMT meteorite … that’s some white dial there!
Low ball offers and unicorn resale prices 😂
See you next week!
I would have taken that 40 bluesey!!!! People will pay thousands more for a slightly newer model just because! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Great video this week. 👌
Glad you think so! Cheers Colin
Let that dude with the Daytona know that i'll pay him more for his Daytona.
Sure, what is your bid so we can pass it on?

@@Watchtrader I shouldn't have to.
You don't have to
@@Watchtrader Clearly you think I do, or more correctly Stuart does.
Why does everyone seem to want the Datejust 41 over the 36. The36 is way more elegant and less in your face, nice all day watch too.
The 36 is for punters! Real men demand 41!! Yours, AC3
