Thanks for the upload Eric and all the work that you do!.😎
This video was randomly suggested to me but the Lakewood Mall was the mall of my childhood. We only lived few blocks away so I felt like we were there all the time. My grandfather also worked security for the mall so I got to explore all the places that were normally closed off to regular shoppers.
I think it has been probably over 15 years since I last visited the mall but this video brought back some good memories. Glad to hear that it seems to be doing well as I know so many malls across the country are closing.
Thanks for finding and watching my video.
Was just suggested this vlog yesterday - probably because I've been watching a lot of Chuck E. Cheese history vlogs.🤣 I've now watched almost all of your mall vlogs and some of the other "history of" ones. This is a fantastic channel. I'm sure you've thought of it, but I would love to see a history of Flakey Jakes as well as a history of the Whitwood Mall and The Quad in Whittier (with the old Hinshaws). You're a doing a great job at preserving the history of the region. Thank you (and also just found your other awesome channel so disregard my Farrell's comment!)!
Thank you for finding my channel. I will put those on my lists. Future videos that are coming out is La Mirada Mall, Bullocks Fashion Square in La Habra and some updated ones with new footage for Puente Hills Mall, Brea Mall, Buena Park Mall, Inland Center, Montclair, and Tyler MAll. I have been visiting all the malls and adding new footage to these videos. Thanks for your support.
Don't forget about the Lakewood Center Skatepark!
I grew-up on Bonfare Ave about two blocks away, as kids we used to play in the tunnel in the summer as for the Bullock's a hill was built for it and at night, we would take shopping carts from the Acron store and push them to the top and ride them down, Lakewood was a good place to grow-up in the 60's and 70's but it's somewhat different now.
Anybody remember the movie theater name where 24 hour fitness is at now and circuit city was across from it
Actually Lakewood is north Long Beach area
no its not
