I read that….If you are a first-time home buyer (see definition here), you can apply for a mortgage interest tax credit known as a Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC). An MCC reduces your federal income taxes every year by allowing you to get 20% of what you spent on mortgage interest back as a tax credit. Because the tax credit refunds a portion of your mortgage interest, it also effectively reduces your mortgage interest rate. Do you teach anything about this?
I don't go too deep into these topics such as this since it's heavily focused on the mortgage lender side of real estate. However, I have put together this blog that might be able to help: www.readyfrontrealestate.com/blog/mortgage-credit-certificates-mccs-in-texas-a-guide-for-veterans/ Thanks, Raoul

Hey I do not work with any particular set of lenders. I work with ones that will do you guys right and that's on the case by case basis. Rules change within a mortgage brokerage all the time. But before I send any lender your way they will know what right look like and what I expect when working with disabled veterans.
Excellent source of information, thank you for the heads up. I own a home in texas, would like to upgrade more land ,three bedroom. Looking for advice.
Hey, a 100% disabled veteran in Texas may be eligible for a property tax exemption for their property located within a Municipal Utility District (MUD). The exemption applies to the MUD property tax portion only and not to other taxes or fees assessed by the MUD for services such as water and sewer. Once you get your bill, it should be an itemized list of what fees you are paying.
Hey, honestly, credit is your least worries, more so will be affordability of what you're looking to get. Give me a call, and we can discuss 737-210-1690

Do you have a list of lenders that you recommend who are familiar with working with disabled veterans?
