I just replied to another video which claimed it was an awesome takeoff sound. It pales in comparison to this video, which still remains the best takeoff sound I have come across on here. Nice one! I l just LOVE the sound of a plane taking off :)
I love the sound this plane makes!!! I remember flying the Fokker 70/100 from Amsterdam to Manchester International and it was supposed to be a 1h 15 minute flight, and it took only 45 minutes! It was a good flight and I like to fly that plane.
you had a heckuva great seat to film this video. the sound was awesome as well. if there was an oscar category for "best takeoff video", i'm sure this could win it!
Hermoso! Cada despegue es como un sueño! Para lo que no estamos acostumbrados a viajar coonstantemente en avión, es una experiencia única. Buen vídeo, aunque hay muchos en TH-cam pero este me encantó!... Gracias ArcticEwi!....
Noisy little Fokker ain't she?! Great sound though - especially the spool up and roll, gotta love that sound. Thanks for a great vid....no cats were traumatized in this house with that sound, but I think the neighbours ducked under their kitchen table! Greetings from London
@xGuR1 @xGuR1 good one, but my ears didn't pop at all. I personally think that it has more to do with air pressure and how fast the take off or landing is. Please correct if i'm wrong. One thing for sure, there's a huge difference in noise level between the first and the last rows with these kind of aircraft (Fokker 70/100 or MD80/90). Cheers mate
@TheMichaelsheinker thanks for your comment, although I have to say it's not correct. The aircraft you see at 6:30 is a British Airways A319 coming in from London Heathrow. It's clearly visible by the dark blue belly, unmistakable BA.
Great video dude! Could I kindly ask you if I could you the sound from the takeoff in one of my videos with your credit in the video and in the description and a link? It would be great if I could, but anyway great sounds!
@rubiokawa250 painted red so when baggage handlers are approaching the aircraft with equipment, they see the flap cover and don't hit it with say a beltloader.. Ive seen this on 737's, A320's etc.
VERY cool video! Question for aviation experts: Shouldn't the rear engines be mounted further out, like on a Russian Ilyushin? Isn't the intake air flow so powerful, that it could conceivably weaken the window, and suck it in? Or are the windows nearest the jet engine stronger or more reinforced than the others? Thanks.
congratulations for the video.. awsome sound, but, why is the flap track fairing cover tip painted in red? In this aircraft is only painted on the RH wing. thanks
Great video! I hope you enjoyed your flight. I flew on a Fokker 70 with American Airlines some years ago. Question: I might be wrong but isn't it similar to a DC-9? It looks similar.
+Niklas Enblom Thanks Niklas! Your AA flight should have been the Fokker 100. They look pretty similar and as far as I know AA never flew the F70. From the outside they might look the same but the DC-9 is completely different from the F70, talking in terms of engines, weight, systems, capacity, construction materials etc. etc.
Beginning to look like the pilot was just going to drive the plane on surface streets to it's destination rather than fly. Great takeoff sounds when they finally put the spurs to it though.
The F-70 is one of those rare airplanes that makes you remember why you love aviation.
What a good shot! Can you imagine all the suction taking place right outside that window?
Can't understand how a company like Fokker went out of business, what a great airplanes they made
Yeah totally agree
Those motherfokkers.
Now THIS is a video with truly good sound....the other videos are crap.

This is the best take off sound i´ve found here...thanks for it
Very good video! You had a good seat. Sound from the engine was awesome.
I always enjoy your nice engine roar video, from 7:00 to end. Nice upload.
Thanks a lot mate, nice to hear from you.
Lovely sound from those RR Tays. The core of the engine is almost the same as a Spey and that goes back to the 1950's! Awesome :)

aaaaaahhhhhhhh...I wonder if the pilots get an adrenalin rush every single time??? bliss

its great when you stand near the rig and feel the power, cannot be beaten
I'm in Flight school right now and the sound at 8:30 and on gives me goose bumps everytime. I cannot wait to be up there.
It was a great engine sound for take off, it is like music!!! These engines have a lot of power!
Noisy little Fokker ain't she?! Great sound though - especially the spool up and roll, gotta love that sound. Thanks for a great vid....no cats were traumatized in this house with that sound, but I think the neighbours ducked under their kitchen table!
Greetings from London
Love the brute solid power, gives me goose bumps...nice video thanks for posting
That noise is music to my ears.
Imagine that, when your window breaks off near this engine lol.
R.I.P eardrums
WWE Fights rip life
@@adrixas7492 And all of that because of YKW but props for that
Get sucked in to the engine if it's spinning really fast
I know it's a strong engine u got there less run way then ur up already..... Amazing
Just love that airplane..... nice engine sound too
Nice vid, that thing has very good acceleration
I traveled to Brazil with The Bombardier!...like this!!....
Best Fokker 70 sound Ever ! Subed

The anticipation of takeoff always kills me.
Fantastic sound, thank you!!
Good one! Have a nice flight & enjoy the view and great take off sound.
Thanks for reply. Flying from Cardiff to Amsterdam this week and i want to be in this seat.

I cant explain why...but I get off on these things, something about the wine and thrust...
pauldays I know exactly what you mean...I call this a take off porn 😂
ok NO
Great acceleration of that Dutch bird :D
Dutch quality heheh
Great little plane! The only flight I’ve taken which had Zero degrees of flap on take off 😊
@ScientistFIlm You're welcome and thanks! From this seat 15F (or A) you can almost touch the powerful RR engine! Great stuff ..
Very nice video, thanks for uploading!
Great video dude! Could I kindly ask you if I could you the sound from the takeoff in one of my videos with your credit in the video and in the description and a link? It would be great if I could, but anyway great sounds!
So good. Viva Aviation. Thanks for posting. x
@MultiMinigun Oh yeah, it is indeed! I see those Fokker 70's every single day but sitting next to these wonderful RR engines is an awesome experience.
@rubiokawa250 painted red so when baggage handlers are approaching the aircraft with equipment, they see the flap cover and don't hit it with say a beltloader.. Ive seen this on 737's, A320's etc.
it must be SO cool to sit SO close to those engines...
nice engine sound
great sound !! Hugs from SAO PAULO BRASIL

I love that sound .. i love it .. :)
powered by RR love these engines and the amazing F70
No problem mate, thanks for asking anyhow! Let me know when your vid is ready :)
I LOVE KLM FOKKER 70/100, please keep them!!! :)
@Mathemaetica Me too mate,I fully agree with you! Thanks for the nice comment, cheers!
Great job!!
FANTASTIC MAN!!! :) (That engine sound) ;)
It's over before you know it, 35 minute flight. After all Dusseldorf is only 230 kilometers from Amsterdam.
Enjoy your flight's!
Wow I love that takeoff.
I SUBBED BECAUSE OF YOUR AWESOME VIDEOS!!!
Good inside info! Thanks man
congratulations for the video.. awsome sound, but, why is the flap track fairing cover tip painted in red? In this aircraft is only painted on the RH wing.
thanks
Uhuu minha parte favorita é quando o avião ta correndo na pista, as vezes fico com dor de ouvido por causa da presão e olha todo ano eu viajo !
@Lacoste2911: To be honest I forgot which gate ... Have a good flight to AMS, probably with one of those sleek looking Embrear 190's ?
I would defo trust this plane with an engine this big
nice sound from rolls - royce tay 620 engine ! :)
@myriggs1 Too much honor mate, but thanks a lot for your kind words, nice one! Cheers
@Alwayzsmilin A Fokkers' wing can produce enough lift without flaps, if the weight allows for it.
Takeoff with only Slats. Flaps 1 or 5
NatesAbandonedExploration Acutally, as shown in this vid, the Fokker 70 and 100 can take off in a clean configuration.
The engine placement reminds me of the MD-80s
Great video! I hope you enjoyed your flight. I flew on a Fokker 70 with American Airlines some years ago. Question: I might be wrong but isn't it similar to a DC-9? It looks similar.

I love That mini tornado
Question is asked before, answer fromSnafu320; 'A Fokkers' wing can produce enough lift without flaps, if the weight allows for it.'
@breathandrelax You're welcome, and thank you for the comment!
Nossa que da hora.
tinha muita vontade de voar perto da turbina assim, mas que pena que os FOKKERS 100 da AVIANCA foram desativados aqui nobrasil.
EXCELLENT ENGINE
very short run on the runway great
@ArcticEwi are they safe
Any ideas what seat number this video was taken from?
Gotta sound good - it's Rolls Royce.
ভাল লাগলো .........
That was one mother of a fokker take off
Sadik Meah FUCKER NOT FOKKER
My cats went nuts when the plane was rolling down the run way. I had full volume.
When I flown with the Fokker 100 I thought the same :-)
that engine is screamin!!
That acceleration tho...
Nice engine sound
Endless taxiing in Düsseldorf, you could get faster to Amsterdam Centraal by Intercity Express :-)))
Thanks man, appreciated!
Beginning to look like the pilot was just going to drive the plane on surface streets to it's destination rather than fly. Great takeoff sounds when they finally put the spurs to it though.
Lovely Rolls-Royce howl.... Just like a 1-11 but quieter 🤭
Look mom!, NO FLAPS!
@muffigw Nice one, where too?
@rubiokawa250 Thank you very much. I'm sorry but I can't tell you why this is. Maybe someone else does?
if your closer to the engine dosent that mean your ears will pop more? how were yours? and brilliant video btw!
WTF SO FAST
that was a long trip around the airport! and wtf? the turbine was so close! must have been loud
The fokker 70 engine is my favorite music,if it's loud...better :)
***** yeah i wish i flew on one, I never remember seeing the engine infront like that, I mean like seeing the spinning thing. :/
ATC: Do you see a plane?
747 Pilot: Yes i have that little Fokker in sight.
wow i love this video
@ArcticEwi Thank you :)
I have travelled in one of these
@anovo21 That makes sense! Thanks for your info
What is the speed that this aircraft is taxing at?
Take a look at the flaps. They are not deployed for take off.Is it usual for the F70 take off procedure??
