Something to realize is that the heaven's feel route of the VN was written before Fate Zero. That means the reader originally didn't know about most of Sakura's backstory, including her relationship with Rin or the basement full of worms. I think the movies give more hints about her involvement in the grail war, because most of the audience has seen Fate Zero; but in the VN, all that stuff was meant to be a twist.
Sakura reacting to stuff, like the appearing seals on Shirou was already there. Shinji also hints at some stuff and the basement existed and we have seen it in UBW. "Sakura has nothing to do with the war" is somthing we make up based on the lies of certain characters. The rest of the hints are an "illusion" because you know that 1)she is gonna be the center now as the route's heroine and 2)Zero already gave it away. The twist in the VN was "You already knew she was abused but you didnt know how REALLY bad it was. Oh she was also rider's original Master"".
Very important note, True Assassin is NOT the same one from Zero. Unfortunately the movie adaptations skip over the explanation, but basically, every Holy Grail War taking place in Fuyuki must have the Assassin slot be filled by one of the leaders of Hassan-i-Sabbah. The one from Zero was Hassan of the Hundred Personas, this one is Hassan of the Cursed Arm. Remember that Caster broke the rules and summoned a Servant on her own. Sasaki Kojirou was a false Servant, not just in his name. However, in his core was still the "True Assassin" underneath, who then here escaped.
Also to add to this (or maybe you could add it as an edit) The neat reason as to why every Assassin has to be one of the Hassan-i-Sabbah is that they are the etymological foundation for the word "assassin" (hashshashin). The origin of the word used to describe the assassin class automatically becomes the catalyst for the to be summoned servant and out comes one of the Hassan's. Of course this rule essentially never becomes relevant again but it's still cool.
@@slendernesia The rule is semi-relevant in that it's the reasoning for how the grail will summon a servant with the most affinity if the catalyst is very general. A shard of the round table will summon any knight of the round table except Arthur and Galahad. A piece of the Argo will also summon any of the Argonauts. A piece of the Gate of Troy will summon any hero from the Trojan War.
@@slendernesia to be fair i don't remember that there is a rule that ONLY one of Hassan's can be summoned.I believe that is precisely becuase of how strongly tied Hassan and his subordinates to the consept of assassination, that you will need a really powerfull catalyst to overpower this link and summon someone else besides one of Hassan's.And you know getting a relic is not an easy task since it's pretty expensive like a really old wine.(Medea probably was able to break this connection thanks to the rule breaker)
Fun fact: In the Visual Novel, each of Kirei's monologues goes on for literal hours. I never did the math, but adding them all is probably a lot bigger than an entire anime season.
Someone needs to explain to them that everything that happens before the Grail War starts is the same in all routes. "Oh he quit archery in this route" "Oh he has a crush on Rin in this route" No guys, that was always the case
@jessicawhitmore5350 Sorry, but they clearly don't have very much knowledge about Fate. If you want to truly understand the story you have to read the vn.
We knew Kirei was Lancer's master it just wasn't as big a deal in UBW, because Kirei's not that important in that route. Remember UBW is the second route of the story.
It's funny hearing you say Rin's a bit of a 'Paint by Numbers' Tsundere when she's practically the one that _made_ the numbers, right alongside Asuka XD. Can't really fault one of the characters that virtually _created_ the archetype for sticking to it.
I also feel like Tsundere!Rin actually makes sense and it isn´t just an obnoxious character trait like sooo many others. Or to put it another way, there´s no point calling her Tsundere Rin, she´s just Rin, that´s who she is.
@@johnyshadow the issue with the anime is that they overdo Rin's tsundereness compared to the VN to the point it tends to overshadow her actual character
I love how when they have that discussion in the beginning of the movie, I think most people miss how it's talking about how Shirou is basically insane. His pursuit of being a hero of justice isn't just motivation or drive, it's downright psychotic religious obsession. And it's the reason he's so self-sacrificing to the point of suicidal when it comes to helping others, like how he was going to give up his arm to save Fujimura from Caster or how here he jumped in front of Saber to take Berserker's attack to save Saber.
Its another kind of scary when you realize wtf is going on with shirou. He's a functional and mentally insane. Its like he has a distorted view of the world and himself.
I know ''hurr durr original material fan'' but in the VN since it's written and since it takes longer than the movies, you see this described pretty well. Shirou in the VN is really interesting as a character and you can really see his mind's inner workings
Everything that happens before summoning Saber is the same in all 3 routes. The different anime adaptations show different amounts of it, but I don't believe there were any intentional contradictions. So Sakura's family situation, and Shiro quitting the archery club all happened in the other routes; they just don't focus on them as much.
I mean Ayako,Sakura and Taiga pester Shirou at the start of UBW anime regarding a possibility of his return to the club. It gets as much foucs,we just never see him practicing there unlike in this movie.
Also, Fate/Stay Night has actually always had elements of mystery. It's just that Fate/Zero took those elements away from the majority of the series. A lot of what anime watchers consider to be common knowledge from Zero are major plot twists across all of the routes that are subtly hinted towards across the three stories.
Im not sure if someone else has mentioned it, but the reason Archer isn't in the fight against Berserker at the beginning: In this and the Saber Route, Shirou doesn't use the Command Spell to stop Saber, so she damages Archer and hes out of service for sometime
Here's the Shirou opinion on the girl's breakdown. He actually starts out the series already liking Rin, and when Saber gets summoned he apparently falls in love at first sight with her. But in the Fate route he only realizes his feelings for saber later on, in UBW he fulfills his feelings with Rin. And then there's Heaven's Feel.
Tecnically Shiro had feelings for Sakura but always justified them as family or the little sister of my friend and never really seen she as a girl he could be with romantically, then he had a crush with Rin as she was super popular in school like she was the madona for the guys and he admired and liked like this celebrity, and then like you said he fallen in love at first sight with Saber (some says that was derivated from her charisma skill), the interaction and order in the events its what makes Shirou be aware of his feeling for each of them and proced to act in each route
@@mileniumshadowvn6652 Bro fell for Saber so hard I'm pretty sure even Archer still remembers the scene of her standing over him in the shed, and that dude has been in the business for eternity
Holy crap, amazing that you're reacting to this. Btw, if anyone wants to get more into Fate I definitely recommend checking out the original visual novels as well! The three routes in Stay Night and also the less talked about Fate Hollow/Ataraxia are all amazing. I'm a massive fan of everything Type Moon and more people being excited about this stuff always makes me happy.
YOROKOBE!! I've been waiting years for this! They definitely have a lot of good insights (focusing so much on Shirou using Rule Breaker is an especially good case of Clairvoyance EX). I'm glad they're enjoying the focus on Shirou and Sakura. The movies actually cut a LOT of focus on other characters (mostly Illya and Kirei), but they do a great job of adapting what they decided to stick with.
Although I've seen A LOT of people say that this first movie isn't as good as the next two. People that know what they're talking about. But I STILL really like how atmospheric it is. The slow build up of this ominous mystery of wtf is going on. Anyway. It's PEAK month with these movies.
i honestly only heard the opposite and in fact myself think so too, the first movie did the most decent job but then especially the third absolutely shat the bed
I mean there is no climax without a buildup and you basically comparing great and amazing. And i think it's always great that continuation is better than begining,it's called progress.
Huh, I thought the general consensus was that the first two were pretty good, but the third one was an inevitable train wreck due to the the amount of build up and lingering plot threads it had to resolve. A very, VERY pretty train wreck, but a train wreck nonetheless.
1:24:00 - The reason this movie can go so fast is because it is the third act of the story. Most of the things in the story have already been established in the first two acts. The source material is supposed to be one whole story that is read in order.
"We've watched zero and ubw, we know whats going on" Ah yes!!! The third movie I had to listen to a Ph. D in nasuverse guy to actually understand some scenes. Even coming after watching every fate before this route, they're still gonna see a bunch of new stuff. Either way, through confusion and HYYPE, this is gonna be fun heh
True, these movies are fantastic, but they do unfortunately skip a lot of the context and explanations from the visual novel. Unfortunate consequence of the movie format versus giving it a full 25 episode anime season.
As someone who's read the Visual Novels I really loved the movies (even if I am salty that they skipped some Illya stuff since she's my favorite character), but I can definitely see it being very confusing for anime onlies.
@@ssjokg4952 was gonna say, it really isn't that difficult to comprehend, especially for those who have at least seen the other shows and understand the mechanics of the setting.
@@Doomfoolable You dont even need to understand how what Touko makes(or who even Touko is) is sustained later. You know what the 3rd magic is is because Ilya explains what it does. She also tells Shirou she is gonna use it. They show(and dont tell) what Rin and Sakura are doing. 1+1=2.
I love the confidence y'all have in your knowledge of the lore. From what you guys have said you're both anime onlys, which means this reaction is gonna be amazing, but like, they cut out SO much stuff from Zero and UBW. I'm hyped to see how you guys react to the rest of the trilogy, cause it just gets more wild from here.
46:31 oh, Zouken wasn't talking about Avalon. That's just how strong Saber's magic resistance is. There is straight up no magus alive in this era that can achieve anything by casting magic directly at her. And Medea doesn't fair any better. Her whole thing is that bullshit dagger of her's.
I'm not sure if it was ever explained in the anime, but as a rule, Servants can not remember any of their past summonings under the Fuyuki grail war system. Saber's being able to remember her past summoning is because she's a special exception, but that's only explained in Saber's route.
So just a small explanation of how Shinji feels about Sakura. Shinji actually apparently wasn't that bad to Sakura when she first came into the Matou household but when it became official she would become the Matou heir, that's when he started acting the way he does towards her and does all the things he does.
always found it quite bittersweet that in the VN we hear from both shirou and sakura's pov that his relationship with her soured a couple years back (like you said, when shinji realized she was the true heir). but then when we read shinji's own pov he describes sakura essentially as a "pet" that followed him around the house. and that he found her very pitiful. and that was still the best she was treated by anyone in the Matou House. brutal stuff.
ufotable is releasing a Mahoyo, another Nasuverse VN, adaptation later this year. Hopefully it will be part 1 of at least another trilogy of movies. That story really delves deep into mages and magic. Also the rough draft of the story was the first Nasuverse work and is the basis for the entire world and magic system.
Seeing them discussing possible differences when all routes start from the same point had me internally going "well ackthually" more than it should have lol. Also yeah Kirei controlling Lancer is made clear in every F/SN adaption.
I'm glad they're finally watching these movies, I love them idc what VN readers say about them. They've been making references to this series for years so it's cool we finally have a reaction to a part of it. Good thing Caleb convinced Jacob that Kirei was always Lancer's master, he needs another UBW rewatch, but it seems they both forgot Gilgamesh talked to Sakura early on UBW too but we just never find out what he says during that route. I also disagree with Jacob about fights not having much meaning/stakes in other Main Fate series, just because someone doest die doesn't mean there are no stakes or consequences. Regardless I'm curious on their thoughts for the next one, the only big confusing thing will be the last one with no Kara no Kyoukai knowledge imo.
So someone may have already covered it but no that is not the same Assassin from Fate/Zero. In the first place Kojiro Sasaki Assassin is actually a Fake Assassin Caster produced by breaking the rules of the Holy Grail War. And while the Assassin from the last war was a Hassan-I-Sabbah same as this one they are different Hassan's. The Hassan of the previous war was Hassan of the Hundred Faces and this is the Hassan of the Cursed Arm, there are I believe 2 other normal Hassan's, and then there's the True Hassan as well, but that's for other Fate series.
Thanks a lot for reacting to HF. Yall are my fav reactors and Fate happens to be my favourite piece of fictional work ever, so its a match Made in Heaven.....'s Feel.....? *ahem* Anywho I was aware that you guys were familiar with Fate and had already watched Zero and UBW but, considering it has been two whole years since the last HF movie came out, I thought yall were just gonna ignore the trilogy but no, here we are, SOS bros reacting to Fate is a dream no more. Keep up the good work.
Fun fact. The Kirei scene when he is eating Mabo Tofu was him just taking whatever opportunity he can get to make ppl suffer. He knew what Shirou went through the night prior and knew that as he was explaining things, the strong and spicy smells from the curry would make Shirou nauseous as hell.
I'VE WAITED 4- NO, 5000 YEARS FOR THIS!! I've first learned about Fate through all their talk about "Bro Iskandar" back in either Psycho Pass or Shingeki no Kyojin S2 days. It's finally happened. ;w;
I hope we get the next 2 movies fast. This is great. Most things have already been pointed out in other comments, so just a few minor ones: Because of the point where the 3 paths diverge, all the things that happened before the "intro" always happen. Shirou always quits the archery club. Sakura always meets mysterious "blond boi".
They seem to have missed a lot of things due to being anime only and only watching fate zero and ubw. Reading the visual novel is important to getting the impact of fate stay night as a whole. But I think this reaction will be interesting regardless
Pre-HF: Not a huge fan of Rider HF: That's hot. Ah yes, Heaven's feel...the Kirei and Illya route. Glad to see you fellas reacting to this, kinda came outta nowhere. Ufotable did an amazing job with the movie trilogy in terms of the choreography, direction, animation, effects, music etc. However, a compressed run time came with quite a few story drawbacks and scenes that were glossed over or straight up skipped. The one from the first part of this movie I find most unfortunate is how Shirou and Saber scold Shinji for trying to force Rider to fight after she gets clapped in the alley fight. It really stuck with me in the VN, and seeing them just cringe a little here felt like missed opportunity. The Lancer vs Assassin chase and showdown is one of my favourite sequence in the anime medium. There's just so much creativity in it, a great showcase of Lancer's skill as well as how damn good Assassin is at dodging. Zabaniya's unveiling and the spiral touch of doom is just so smoothly animated and...well...epic. Looking forward to Part 2 and 3.
There will always be a place in my heart for deen/ Stay Night as it was how I first got into the rabbit hole that is fate and the nasuverse but I hope we get a proper adaptation of the Fate route from ufotable
I honestly don't really think the Fate adaption is bad. The most unfaithful things they did was adding things similar to other routes, but they covered the Fate route stuff pretty well.
If you guys are already Fate fans, is there any chance y'all would be interested in the 'Kara No Kyoukai" movies? They're a series of 9 movies made by UFOtable and a part of the larger Type-Moon multiverse, they are a bit older though, the first came out in 2007 and the last came out in 2013.
You guys should really have an anime movie slot in your schedule. Would be great to see hear your thoughts on certain movies while also giving us recommendations.
Since Hollow/Ataraxia will most likely never get an adaptation I will share this piece of information. Lancer did have an original master before Kirei, but the priest killed her and stole her command seals.
Yes, finally. I know you guys have been mentioning some fate stuff either in your stream or your other reaction, so i kinda always assumed you guys already already watched the movies as well. Very excited for this one.
amazing we are getting to his, I think this adaptaion cut some amazing stuff but i still very much enjoyed the movies as a huge fate fan, the saber route still remains my favorite cause im all into that good guy stuff but heavens feel is amazing in its own right. This came before fate zero so technicly its a exposition we are suppose to be first time hearing. Anyway amazing character analisis
To clarify your confusion about Assassin. The Assassin that Caster summoned was never the proper Assassin that was supposed to be summoned she basically hijacked the system for herself, which is also why Assassin has limitations i.e. being unable to leave the temple. The Assassin in this story is the "True Assassin" who was always meant to be summoned as Zouken was always the seventh master but he simply chose not to participate in the other two storylines. Also yea I think he's the same Assassin from Fate/Zero (or at least one of them).
A minute in and we're already talking about the ménage à trois. Anyway, nice, I just recently watched the second and third movies, so I've been looking for reactions! Fate aside, though, have you guys seen the Kara no Kyoukai movies Ufotable did? Edit: Okay, yeah, it was cut out of the highlight so I'm just gonna point out that at the very end of Zouken's intro monolog the scene they show is of Saber slashing down Archer, which happens both in Fate and Heaven's Feel, but not in UBW. What this means is that Shirou didn't burn a command to stop Saber, but Rin had to burn her second one to make Archer retreat immediately. (And since he's off recovering he doesn't shoot arrows at Berserker etc.)
If only Shirou was aware that he had Avalon inside of him. If he knew, he could have gave it to Sakura, and then had Saber stand right next to her as they performed a surgery to remove the Crest Worm in her heart. Kotomine Kirei stated that the surgery needed to remove the Crest Worm would certainly destroy her heart and kill her, but if she had Avalon healing her as the procedure was done, she would have been fine. Then she could have been free from Zouken's grasp very early on in this story, and it could've been interesting to see how she operates as a character without the Matous controlling her. Shirou doesn't even find out about the Crest Worm until way later, which is a little weird considering his ability to sense the internal structure of objects. If he ever used his Trace on her, he would've noticed it immediately. Honestly thinking about it, it is a little frustrating how much Shirou and Sakura kept secret from eachother. Especially because if they were open and honest with eachother, they could've started working together much earlier, and solved a lot of their problems much easier. Yes, I know Zouken had an iron fisted controll over her, but I think his threat to kill her if she disobeys is an empty one. His grand plan for her of 11 years is finally about to come to fruition, I don't think he would easily throw away the Greater Grail host he's been building up through her for all this time. On top of that, ultra unique magical Origin that makes her magic style that of controlling Shadows, which is the same Origin as the Grail itself. She is too rare and useful of a magical specimen for him to throw her away casually.
Oh yeah, my favorite of the 3 main routes and the one that I think has the best character work in Fate as a whole aside from Zero. While I personally think the visuals are a bit too flashy at times so that you don't really know what is going on and the adaptation may have cutten out quite a significant portion of context (don't know, haven’t read the VN), this is such a fun and wild ride to finish! Also, Sakura best girl, don't @ me
Wait what they’re reacting to the heavens feel movies?! Oh boy. This is gonna be great… just wait until they see all the shit happening in the 2nd and especially the 3rd movie!
Omg yes! I've heard you guys sprinkle in Fate here and there across hundreds of reaction videos, and I am so happy finally seeing your reaction to a Fate property, and HF is a trifecta of gems. Fate/Zero has steadfastly remained not just my favorite Fate entry, but my #1 favorite anime period, but I enjoy things like Fate/Stay Night, other Fate properties (hype for Fate/Strange Fake and Today's Menu, best cooking show ever) and Type-Moon because of it. Having your guys commentary and making so many Fate references poking fun at all the in-jokes and such was just so great for this otherwise gloomy Sunday afternoon. Also yes, I think Shirou just might need Rule Breaker, good hunch there. 😏
I dont get where all the "Dumb Shirou" parts come from. Is this damage from abridged? Not even Carnival Phantasm Shirou is "dumb" enough to make people repeatedly call him that.
probably memes and some "opinions" from internet. For wide audience he`s clearly not known as smartest character. From the other side, knowing what a mess Shirou`s mind is, no wonder that people have a hard time to truly understand him.
I honestly think it started with Deen F/SN 2006 since it has the most conflict about Shirou not wanting Saber to fight and not expressing his reasons why very well. Before UBW came out Gigguk (at the time the biggest anime youtuber) used to mock Shirou a lot for saying things like "people die when they are killed".
@@maxmustermann9058 Shirou saw Saber getting rekt in every fight she was in...even those she won. Also liked her. But they don't hate on Kiritsugu for not actually using her and basically refusing to work with her for being a woman. And that quote, or similar ones, is not only said in many popular series, it actually makes sense even in Deen 2006. You can't convince me that Gigguk and others watched the damn show. People just love to hate him for no good reason. He is the Ikari Shinji of the 00s. Well the difference is that NGE was good overall while Deen 2006 is....average even by 2006 standards.
About length comparasing. HF has three 2-hour movies with credits, so less than 6 hours of content in total. UBW has 26 episodes including ep. 0, three of them is double length, plus alternate ending as special on the top of that. So 29.5 episodes in total, which is roughly about 10 hours of content without openings and endings.
The stay night series is the original work and ZERO is a spin-off. So please forget about ZERO for once. stay night is a work of three routes combined, and the direct time line is not the same as that of ZERO. The original author also said that it is not strictly the same as ZERO, just that something similar happened 10 years ago. There are some inconsistencies, so please don't think of the two as connected, but see them as independent from each other.
This is hassan of the cursed arm, true assassin of 5th holy grail war. nothing to do with hassan of hundred faces. there weree 19 grandmasters of order of assassins, all of them took the name Hassan
"As a result of them fighting, not just the Grail" So, uh, funny thing about that you'll learn from these movies: Yeah, no, it was technically just the Grail being a piece of shit😂
Illya is the big sister lol And every route about FSN is about Shirou, the others are the heroines besides him. Fate - Saber UBW - Rin Heaven's Feel - Sakura
A bit spoilery of a comment so this isn't for SoS, but: The discussion about Kirei being Lancer's master brought a smile to my face as someone who's played Hollow Ataraxia, I believe UBW did leave some very small hints.
UBW outright shows that Kirei was his Master during the anime. Same for Deen 2006. Not sure how they forgot. It has some hints regarding Bazett but they are irrelevant here.
@@ssjokg4952 I know, it's clear that the main issue is them misremembering it, I'm just wondering if the small Bazett hints played a part in the confusion, as I think they specify a "woman"' at some point in the UBW anime. (I believe it was in Caster's flashback, not completely sure.) I'm not saying they're of any relevance, just a fun thought I had while hearing the discussion.
@@urtoryu_dy_althraidn If they don't remember lancer calling Kirei Master and Kirei using his seals on him I doubt they remember small hints for VN readers. Kirei laughs at Caster's Master request because he already had done his work. That's a small fanservice for us(and only FSN Bazett reference in actual Fate anime)(Kaleid Bazett is a different monster for me) I really really really doubt they are confused because of that.
@@ssjokg4952 I'm not saying they remember, they clearly don't. Humans frequently have thoughts based on small details they don't consciously remember, but still subconsciously influences them. That's why some times you imagine something without any reference and later find something extremely similar somewhere else that you have seen before but had forgotten about, I said it could possibly be a little part of that. I'm also not saying that they're confused because of it, my main point was literally just that I found it a fun coincidence.
I didn't expected to see but a welcome one. Like other comment said, there difference between FAKE Assassin and TRUE Assassin, but I don't remember if the movies explained. Also, one thing: Illya is not the little sister, is the big sister. She is older than Shirou by 2 o 3 years. PD: Any plans to watch El Mellois Case Files? Is part of the Fate/Stay Night timeline, not the best writing but I love the characters.
So you know, the fire was a disaster of the grail itself. If the grail had been used, the damage would have been far greater. The Fuyuki fire that affected Shirou was the best case scenario in the situation. Kiritsugu made the right choice in trying to destroy it, he just had to live with the damage that was isolated to just Fuyuki. It should be explained more thoroughly this route.

Something to realize is that the heaven's feel route of the VN was written before Fate Zero. That means the reader originally didn't know about most of Sakura's backstory, including her relationship with Rin or the basement full of worms. I think the movies give more hints about her involvement in the grail war, because most of the audience has seen Fate Zero; but in the VN, all that stuff was meant to be a twist.

i will forever find it hilarious that when you google Tsundere Rin is literally the first picture that pops up.
@@MrM9819 And Rin and Asuke both do.

Hell no, there’s a reason why when people think of the best tsundere characters, they still think of Rin and Asuka decades later

Im not sure if someone else has mentioned it, but the reason Archer isn't in the fight against Berserker at the beginning:
In this and the Saber Route, Shirou doesn't use the Command Spell to stop Saber, so she damages Archer and hes out of service for sometime
Heaven's feel: third wheel
@@mileniumshadowvn6652 Bro fell for Saber so hard I'm pretty sure even Archer still remembers the scene of her standing over him in the shed, and that dude has been in the business for eternity
Holy crap, amazing that you're reacting to this. Btw, if anyone wants to get more into Fate I definitely recommend checking out the original visual novels as well! The three routes in Stay Night and also the less talked about Fate Hollow/Ataraxia are all amazing. I'm a massive fan of everything Type Moon and more people being excited about this stuff always makes me happy.
I head Fate/Ataraxia is great based on a TH-cam essayist Aleczandxr putting it into his favourite games of all time. And he has GREAT taste.
@@bennogb5069 hollow ataraxia is an amazing game. Though it is a sequel to the stay night vn. So you would have to read that first.
So glad finally having a fate content in the main channel! Hearing them referencing all this time we finally get this movie reaction!
Do they have fate content elswhere?
What is the other channel??
Well hey, this movie basically sets up the other two to be as good as they are, so I'd say it all works out just fine
i honestly only heard the opposite and in fact myself think so too, the first movie did the most decent job but then especially the third absolutely shat the bed
It's actually my favorite, I think? The atmosphere is so intoxicating.
Ilya explains everything in the 3rd one. Anyone with media literacy can understand what happens at the end.
@@ssjokg4952 was gonna say, it really isn't that difficult to comprehend, especially for those who have at least seen the other shows and understand the mechanics of the setting.
@@Doomfoolable You dont even need to understand how what Touko makes(or who even Touko is) is sustained later.

What about Archer tho?
Ilya mentions that.
@@seelyze Archer doesnt remember Grail Wars. He remembers summonings as a Counter Guardian, totally different thing.
@@ssjokg4952 Ohhh I see, thanks for clarifying!
Oooooo that's gonna be cool.
Seeing them discussing possible differences when all routes start from the same point had me internally going "well ackthually" more than it should have lol. Also yeah Kirei controlling Lancer is made clear in every F/SN adaption.
I'm actually surprised some of their theories are very smart and well rounded. Well done guys!
Can't wait for the second one! Also gotta pour one out for my favorite servant Kojiro, he gets done dirty this route
He gets his redemption in shimousa
So glad to see some FATE on the channel! I hope you keep it up (if there's more you haven't seen, that is)!
I am so hyped for you guys to reaction to this! This is easily the most mature of the Fate routes and I am super hyped
I see someone reacting to Fate and I get hyped
Fun fact. The Kirei scene when he is eating Mabo Tofu was him just taking whatever opportunity he can get to make ppl suffer. He knew what Shirou went through the night prior and knew that as he was explaining things, the strong and spicy smells from the curry would make Shirou nauseous as hell.
I'VE WAITED 4- NO, 5000 YEARS FOR THIS!! I've first learned about Fate through all their talk about "Bro Iskandar" back in either Psycho Pass or Shingeki no Kyojin S2 days. It's finally happened. ;w;
It is weird watching them speculate without info they should already have lol. Fate anime order will unfortunately always have holes.
I hope we get the next 2 movies fast. This is great.
Most things have already been pointed out in other comments, so just a few minor ones:
Because of the point where the 3 paths diverge, all the things that happened before the "intro" always happen. Shirou always quits the archery club. Sakura always meets mysterious "blond boi".
They seem to have missed a lot of things due to being anime only and only watching fate zero and ubw. Reading the visual novel is important to getting the impact of fate stay night as a whole. But I think this reaction will be interesting regardless
i am looking forward to their confusion at the end of the third movie lol
Ah there you are. Welp, it aint a fate reaction without you in the comments. Good to see you here.

Pre-HF: Not a huge fan of Rider
HF: That's hot.
There will always be a place in my heart for deen/ Stay Night as it was how I first got into the rabbit hole that is fate and the nasuverse but I hope we get a proper adaptation of the Fate route from ufotable
honestly, Deen did a better job adapting the Fate route than ufotable did adapting Heaven's Feel so i'd rather not see that
I honestly don't really think the Fate adaption is bad. The most unfaithful things they did was adding things similar to other routes, but they covered the Fate route stuff pretty well.
i love the heaven's feel trilogy
Hoping u guys will react to it Awesome as always
If you guys are already Fate fans, is there any chance y'all would be interested in the 'Kara No Kyoukai" movies? They're a series of 9 movies made by UFOtable and a part of the larger Type-Moon multiverse, they are a bit older though, the first came out in 2007 and the last came out in 2013.
God I love Fate/Stay Night. Especially UBW is something I come back to time after time.

It's been 84 years
Have the Bros reacted to Kara no Kyoukai before? I feel like they'd appreciate that the most out of Nasu's work
Since Hollow/Ataraxia will most likely never get an adaptation I will share this piece of information.
I love fate this makes me so happy
Some how I thought you two had already seen this, but I am really excited that I get to go through it with you both. :)
Have you guys seen the other Fate side-series like Fate: Apocrypha or El Melloi Case Files yet?
Have you guys ever seen the Fate Carnival Phantasm skits? I would totally recommend giving that a watch after this if you haven't.
Been wanting you guys to watch Fate. I kinda assumed you were already into it so I was right lol.

Well considering how much they kept referencing Abridged quotes through the entirety of the film
probably memes and some "opinions" from internet. For wide audience he`s clearly not known as smartest character.
From the other side, knowing what a mess Shirou`s mind is, no wonder that people have a hard time to truly understand him.
@@BekindBekbek Which is weird because he doesn't do anything stupid unless you wanna call having an impossible dream stupid.
So, guys saw ubw and zero. The question is, they saw Kara no Kyokai or not? And if they didn`t, will they watch it?
You guys shold read the visual novel.
Heavens Feel is incredible
Let’s go! I’ve been waiting years for this!
"As a result of them fighting, not just the Grail"
So, uh, funny thing about that you'll learn from these movies: Yeah, no, it was technically just the Grail being a piece of shit😂
Oh the Rider sakuga. Best woman, best snek.
they don't seem to know that all the first part of the movie taking place before the war happened the same in all the routes
I think you missed the part where assassin's chest blew out as if something came out of him like a xenomorph.
Illya is the big sister lol
And every route about FSN is about Shirou, the others are the heroines besides him.
Fate - Saber
UBW - Rin
Heaven's Feel - Sakura
A bit spoilery of a comment so this isn't for SoS, but:
The discussion about Kirei being Lancer's master brought a smile to my face as someone who's played Hollow Ataraxia, I believe UBW did leave some very small hints.
(I believe it was in Caster's flashback, not completely sure.)
I'm not saying they're of any relevance, just a fun thought I had while hearing the discussion.
@@urtoryu_dy_althraidn If they don't remember lancer calling Kirei Master and Kirei using his seals on him I doubt they remember small hints for VN readers. Kirei laughs at Caster's Master request because he already had done his work. That's a small fanservice for us(and only FSN Bazett reference in actual Fate anime)(Kaleid Bazett is a different monster for me)
I really really really doubt they are confused because of that.
