What a beast!
Awsome video. Something you never see. Nice.
Awesome vid brother! I was looking forward to coming to the race Saturday, but we are slammed with work. All of the storms this season have us working 6 days a week.
Im so glad I saw one of your videos years ago, and made the decision to have you build a saw for me. Now i think all the saws i run were built by you! MS 151, MS 194, MS 201tc, MS 261, MS 400, MS 500i, MS 880, and my Husky 395. They all run great, and If i need anything else I'll give you a shout! Enjoy the race, and your summer. I hope to see you before the winter brother!
Semper Fi,
Steve
Joe, that is THE biggest lathe that I’ve personally ever seen! Excellent! 🫡
Beast Mode! 👍🏼
Wow now that's something else 😎
Christ! That's a beast, Joe👍
Oh mason outdoor expo
Love seeing the equipment you have access to Joe! Thanks for sharing and hosting the event!!
That's a big machine!
Wow what a machine 😳
Love it, Red!
Nice, Now you can make me that crank I need for a battleship 👍
Well now that is not something you see every day! To cool! Can you say Alieve
Ur awesome joe,, id love to work with u and learn more!!!!
That works
That’s very interesting Joe. How old is that lathe? Wonder what the electric bill is going to look like for powering the lathe?
The 3 phase power is pretty efficient for motors a d such, I'd guess not crazy different for the extra few hours of run time.
Be a good lathe for saw cylinders
Cut a thread with it!
Wood screw?? Lol
Now that you have the lathe you can finally do the machine work on my 2511t?
Are you going to host a saw show buddy? Or just turning logs for one or just for fun just curious
What power is that thing running on? The ones I’ve seen that size have been 600v 3ph.
I wonder how difficult it would be to run it off the tractor PTO. Maybe just make something to go in place of the motor. Or leave the motor alone and put some belt drive adapter somewhere.
We have 480v 3ph at the shop. I did think about pto drive if the motor/electric was bad lol
@@dynojoemods2764 I wish we had 480v 3ph, or even 220v 3ph.
Have you thought about making a tool that could take a 3 or 4 inch cut? Might be easier than a tool post router/shaper.
I’ve got one of these lathes for sale In Virginia if anyone wants it.
If only they were easier/cheaper to move
