If you could lose your salvation, it would mean that Christ's sacrifice was insufficient. Once that sacrifice is accepted by a believer, it can never be lost.

once the blood is applied you are JUSTIFIED and those whom he JUSTIFIED them he also GLORIFIED Roman's 8:30
SANCTIFICATION is not PREREQUISITE for salvation. once you are saved your flesh is dead and cut away ( spiritual CIRCUMCISION) from the soul and the soul is BAPTIZED into the body of christ by the holy spirit, the holy spirit will never come into contact with the sinful flesh, this is the operation of God and cannot be reversed, the holy spirit puts you into christ and you become flesh of his flesh bone of his bones, you are no longer in Adam but in Christ and As Eve was in Adam, we as the bride of Christ are in Christ. to lose salvation Jesus would have to undo the crucifixion and that's not happening ever.
be blessed and believe the RECORD that God gave of his SON
      1John 5
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the RECORD, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I WRITTEN UNTO YOU that believe on the name of the Son of God; THAT YE MAY KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD.

No it means it was conditional -- based on the conditions Christ gave before he died -- the basis for loving you was unconditional but obviously you can't continue your unrighteous path and inherit the kingdom as Christ already pointed out so accepting Christs conditions for the ransom is everything. Heb 10:26 . -- that says the same thing a second time. Pay attention.

@@Deep.Purple your taking hebrews 10:26...out of context. It was a warning to Jews who knew the gospel but were going to return to Judaism and the law. There remains no animal sacrifice for sins, because Jesus is the only sufficient sacrifice...and by them denying the gift of grace they were trampling the blood of Jesus underfoot by thinking they can still do animal sacrifice and follow the law and that because they refused the gift of grace (and anybody who refuses Jesus sacrifice) they're sins aren't covered by the only blood that is sufficient and a fiery indignation and judgement awaits them. All who call on the Lord and trust in His sacrifice are saved.

Jesus can't fail. We fail. And only by true repentance will He forgive us. If we live life our way and not all for Him, we haven't truly repented. You must die to self before you can be born agsin. Jesus said those who love me are those who keep my Father's command. But "once saved always saved" doctrine doesn't exist. We can walk out of grace anytime. And most lukewarm Christians think they are saved but never hear Jesus speak. He is the one you have to hear it from! Jesus can blot you out of the book of life if He pleases! He said He will spit lukewarm Christians out of His mouth. And that's exactly the mind set is of this phony doctrine once saved always saved. If you are a fornicater you will not inherit the kingdom of God unless you truly repent and stop. But once saved always saved so called Christians think they can do whatever they want and still make it.. Not so! Read Scriptures. You must repent and give up your old life of sin.

You are absolutely correct that the blood of Jesus never fails. But we are capable of failing if after receiving grace we decide to go back to our old lifestyle of sin. If we decide that we really don't want to live for God. We want to do whatever we want and indulge in as many sensual pleasures as we please. This puts a person in dangerous territory. This is known as blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Paul describes this condition as trampling the Son of God under your feet and no grace is left. Which means you have rejected His free gift to you. My friend it is possible for any one of us to lose our salvation if we don't continue to walk in faith. Too many Christians on this site aren't taking responsibility for their actions because they just claim the blood of Christ. We are all accountable for our actions....

It is not YOUR SALVATION. It is God's salvation. It is freely given to us by GRACE which is unmerited favour. God in His Love purposed and planned salvation. Jesus Christ came as man to die and rise again to purchase that salvation. The Holy Spirit is the power whereby we come into the good of that salvation. The Holy Spirit puts us in Christ on resurrection ground. Seated in Heavenly places in and with Christ. Everything we have is IN HIM. We can't lose what we didn't merit in the first place.

Lawrence Smeaton “ work out your OWN salvation with fear and trembling “

    • @Blockah
      @Blockah 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@jamal_77646 What does it mean to “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”? Many believers will quote this verse to support the idea that we still have much personal development to do in completing what Jesus started or to make ourselves worthy and acceptable to the Lord. The idea is we need to do “works” to prove we are saved, and we need to be fearful that if we don’t do and live as God has commanded, we could be tossed into hell. If this were true, I can understand why believers would be trembling in fear while working hard to stay out of hell.
Unfortunately for these types of believers who preach a gospel of performance, this isn’t what this verse means at all. First off, salvation isn’t something you have to work for; it is a free gift from God that is received by faith. You don’t work for salvation; it works for you.
Working out our salvation is very different from working for our salvation. When Paul tells believers they need to work out their salvation, he is simply explaining that the wonderful gift they freely received from God is inside of them. We bring out those beautiful attributes and character traits by faith. Faith is a rest, but it is faith that works, not us. So working out what is on the inside of us happens by faith.
This process can be frightening in the beginning as a new believer discovers how to live and walk by faith. Some strong trepidation may be present at first when a person decides to trust God as his or her source and peace. I remember how scary it was for me to stop trusting in my natural abilities and trust in God’s Word. This is what Paul is referring to when he mentions “fear and trembling.” He isn’t talking about being afraid of God. Rather, he is helping the new believer to know that in the beginning, it will seem scary to walk by faith. However, it is the only way to see our inner salvation manifest on the outside through our character.
Keep in mind many of the people Paul was writing to came from religions that opposed the type of grace he was preaching. For example, first century Jews who converted to Christianity would have struggled to believe they were in perfect union with God. Moreover, the thought that God was now living in them seemed unreal much less the idea that He could love them unconditionally. They had left a religious system that taught them God was so holy, you couldn’t mention His name. Or, that if you violated His law or did something wrong in His presence, He would strike you down.
Their mindsets needed to be completely renewed. So it is easy to see why living this new life by faith would be scary for them. No one knew it better than Paul who was confronted by Jesus on the road to Damascus expecting to be judged harshly for killing and imprisoning God’s children. Yet, instead of receiving the death sentence, which he expected, he was shown unfailing mercy and love that transformed him. He became one of the greatest apostles in the Bible.
John also addressed this idea that God can be scary in 1 John 4:18, “He that fears hasn’t been made perfect in love because they don’t know God yet.” New believers who don’t know God can be afraid of Him based on wrong information about who He is. To some, learning to trust in God’s love, goodness, and mercy sounds easy at first. However, if a false perspective of God is drilled into you, overcoming those strongholds could take some time. Learning to live by faith and trusting in what Jesus did for you could be a challenging way to live if you always based your righteousness on your own performance.
When Paul told believers to work out their salvation with fear and trembling, he understood perfectly the challenge a new believer would experience. Initially, trusting the work of Christ to change your character and lifestyle without your own efforts can be daunting. It is a challenge to believe you can change without a self-help or sin management program. Notice that Paul emphasises this point in the very next verse.
“For it is God which worketh IN YOU both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13
Paul had to learn to trust in God’s grace, goodness, and love for him when he sinned or failed. Before, as a Pharisee, he would run to the temple to offer a sacrifice for his sins. But now, he had to trust Jesus as his sacrifice for sins, and believe they had been removed forever. He had to have faith that God had forgiven him once and for all and that the peace in his heart didn’t come from what he did for God but in what Jesus did for him.
Over time, Paul began to see God’s character known as the “fruit of love” being birthed in his heart and controlling his life. He was seeing the salvation of God working its way out from the inside to the outside for the world to see. In the beginning, this process was frightening because it was a new way to relate to God. In addition, the very idea his body could be the home for God’s presence was kind of mind-blowing for a Jew who knew that priests who messed up in the Holy of Holies dropped dead.
Now, Paul was the home of God’s precious Holy Spirit, and his body and spirit had become the Holy of Holies. This meant he no longer had to strive for righteousness because in Christ, he was righteous. He didn’t have to try to be holy because as a new creation in Christ, he was made holy.
Paul’s acceptance and journey with God into this new way of life were filled with fear and trepidation. He wasn’t afraid of God; instead, he was learning not to be. His trepidation came from who he had become in Christ, a new creation in Christ, a son of God, holy and as righteous as Jesus is. That was a revolutionary belief for Paul.
Transitioning from a belief system that portrayed God as angry, fault finding and condemning to the truth that revealed He is kind, loving, and merciful is quite the journey. It truly is one that would create fear and trepidation in the hearts of those who choose to walk this new life.
This precious salvation we have received as a gift from God is on the inside of us. However, a lost and dying world is waiting to see it manifest on the outside, so this life-changing love of God touches them through our lives and characters. It can seem scary to love and forgive as Jesus loved and forgave us; it may also be a cause for some trepidation. Nevertheless, in time, as you yield to the salvation you have received, that fear and trepidation will diminish. Keeping yourself in the love of God will become natural to you.
“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life” (Jude 21).

@@Blockah Interesting but not accurate about Philippians 2:12-13 it is not about individual but a group of believers. The context is the preservation of a group of Christians in their community. To keep up a good testimony before the community, city etc. Work out your own preservation (Salvation). “Your” is plural that mean address to a group, local church. Warning ⚠️ them. Two sisters fighting inside see chapter 4:2 “I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord”. Back to chapter 2 verse 15 “That Ye may be blameless and harmless ...in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom Ye shine as lights in the world”. It is saving the local church from losing testimony, getting affected by the world of sinners. Notice King James Old English “Ye” mean all of you not only one person but addressing a group. That is the accurate way, the right interpretation within the pages of Philippians. Hoping this help God bless

Over the years, I think I have a answer to this Hebrews 6:,4, question. First, look at the name of the book. Hebrews. I believe this book in whole is talking about the Hebrews that became saved. Then temptations and hard times came to them. They were being persecuted terribly by the non believers. And we're tempted to go back to the Mosaic law. That's why you can't loose your salvation. You can't go back and crusify The Lord again. It's a one time deal.

All this back and forth is ridiculous because its missing a key point:
We were born sinners, are living as sinners, and will always remain sinners. It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for us not to sin. Only Jesus lived a sinless life, and no one else will ever be able to. Salvation isn't some magic spell that turns us into creatures who are now incapable of sin!
So the FALSE belief that after we ask for and receive salvation, we then have to somehow achieve and maintain a state of perfect sinlessness in order to remain saved, is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. It could never happen. Because that would mean our salvation is based on our WORKS. Because then the implication is that after we ask for and receive salvation, we would then have to try really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really hard to never ever ever ever ever sin again, (which is impossible) or we would lose our salvation! If that twisted logic was true, then that would mean that NO ONE will ever go to Heaven. Which is ABSURD, because Jesus and Jesus only is perfect. WE. NEVER. WILL. BE.
The FACT of the matter is that He saves us REGARDLESS of our sin. Our past, present, and FUTURE sin. It's called GRACE. And it's permanent and eternal. Period.

I agree with your point to a certain extent, but there is a huge difference between willfully sinning and tripping up into sin. When I trip up from time to time I feel so guilty and I pray to God. The Holy Spirit convicts me from willfully sinning, for example I was eating at Donato's restaurant and I ordered a 2 liter of soda and a separate fountain drink, the cashier lady was insistent on me not having to pay for the fountain drink and I told her No I will pay for it because that is technically stealing. The Holy Spirit was really working hard in me to tell that woman I want to pay for it even though she was so willing to give it to me.

I agree. Salvation is by grace through faith and is a free gift. To claim that we hang onto that then by our works means we have to earn the right to keep it. If that were true then its a gift with strings attached which is not biblical. However, we should follow the Lord Jesus once saved since that is our calling as believers. There are huge benefits for doing that, and huge disadvantages if we don't.

I have been a believer for long time however since I became a believer I was introduced to the prosperity gospel then finally God open my eyes from that deception to realise again I became confused with you must repent from your sins ,now I then felt like giving up because it was impossible for me to completely stop sinning therefore I thought I was losing my salvation cause of the popular doctrine of repentance of sin it’s so condemning and confusing your teachings are so sound and liberating thank you so much.

Hebrews 7:23-25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make *INTERCESSION* for them

Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
    Hebrews 6:19-20 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (Christ is your anchor in Heaven)
2Corinthians 1: 21-22 God has put his seal of ownership on you and *guarantees your eternal life*
Romans8:38-39 *Nothing* can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will *never* perish. (It wouldn't say this if one could accidentally sin & suddenly die)
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh *intercession* for us.
Hebrews 10:14 For by a single offering he has *perfected* for all time those who are being sanctified.
Psalm 34:22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
Jude 1:24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,
1John 3:9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. (the new nature doesn't sin)
Colossions 1:21,22 & you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death,to present you holy&unblameable & unreproveable in his sight:
1 Peter 1:4-5 To an inheritance that is *imperishable*, undefiled, & unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

How can anyone be so foolish as to think you are once saved always saved. Only people of the world have such a careless attitude and assume they are right with God.. Dear @@vaughnbarry6747, evidently you seem to have trouble with rightly dividing the word of God. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ in the letter to Romans chapter 7 writes:
      14
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
      15
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
      16
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
      17
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
      18
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
      19
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
      20
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
      21
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
      22
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
      23
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
      24
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
      25
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

@@ewagospel2833 I love your zeal and effort in writing all this. And yes we all make mistakes. I sure do. Here Paul acknowledges the flesh is carnel. But if you read on he talks about how no fornicater, idolalter, homosexual, etc., etc., will inherit the kingdom of God. Do you understand this? We aren't talking about people who repent and stop. Some of these are Christians who believe this deception that no matter what you can't lose your salvation. It is a lie from the devil! You have to live for Christ 100% If you think you can live how you please because grace is a free pass to indulge, you are in for a shock when you meet Jesus. It is all over Scriptures how a person must endure the cross to be rightly called servants. The servant is not greater than the master. The world hated Jesus, and thus will hate you if you are a true follower. Most "Christians" in on this comment section are of the world and hate hearing the truth. They live their sin and dont want to sacrifice for Yeshua. That is why everyone here hates it when I tell them that you must live a holy life for Jesus. People want to believe you can't lose your salvation so they can keep fornicating, or whatever it is they like to do. The world doesn't understand the things of the spirit. This is why they are so angry at my comments. They want to sin and believe no matter what Jesus will let them in. Wake up! Nothing is more important than being right with Jesus. And He is a person and you must develop your relationship with Him. You are not once saved always saved! You can give up or turn to a Lukewarm Christian. Bible knowledge means nothing if you dont have the Holy Spirit to teach you. Ed read the first few chapters of Revelation. Here Jesus is talking about how you must endure and be victorious. He is even talking about people who claim to be Jews and are not. He talks about how He will never blot a holy and rightous people from the Book of Life. Using Galatians 6:8 in stand alone fashion makes this verse appear to say one can lose their salvation.
But in context, it actually destroys that belief.
The book of Galatians is contrasting works for salvation with justification by faith alone.
Sowing to the flesh in this verse is talking about thinking works play a part in eternal life. This is aimed at the Jews who believe they can be saved by keeping the law, which is Sowing to the flesh.
Sowing to the Spirit is believing that eternal life is through Christ alone without works.
Our works play no part in gaining or maintaining our salvation.
Relying on self/works to secure eternal life ends in reaping corruption.
Relying on Christ alone to justify us aside from our works reaps eternal life.
As believers, we do good works BECAUSE we are saved. These are works that are from the Spirit.
Read verses 11-15 and Paul clears up his point rather nicely.
Works/ Sowing to the flesh = Reaping corruption.
Sowing to the Spirit = Reaping eternal life.

There are two sayings i can't stand, and i don't believe. One saved always saved, and you can't loose your salvation. Both are wrong. I heard something from a pastor that i like. He basically changed the sayings. How about once truly saved always saved, and the falling away of those who appear to be saved. The only reason it would be impossible to repent, is if we are not doing it though Jesus Christ. I honestly believe that if one has been born again and are sealed with the Spirit, how is it possible that you can be un-born again and un-sealed with the Spirit? I truly believe that a true believer would never fall away. Will they fall? Absolutely, but they will get back up in the power of the Holy Spirit that is in you and you will continue on to finish the race set before us by God. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness !!

A full repentant heart is obedience to God. You must approach God on His terms, not your terms. If you don't have a full repentant heart, He will not listen to you. Thus you have let the enemy deceive you that you are "once saved always saved". You cannot defeat the enemy on your own terms with watered down Christianity. You must approach Him with a full humble heart and willing for Him to take over your life.

You cannot defeat the enemy. Christ has defeated him, and will fully defeat him when He comes again. You do not earn or keep your salvation. Christ earned it for you, and keeps it for you. To approach God on His terms, as you say, is to believe Christ died for all of your sins, and that you cannot earn your salvation. If you think you have to do anything on top of believing in Christ’s finished work, the apostle Paul says you have fallen from grace. Eph 2 8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” Does your theology leave room for boasting? Would you be able to say “I made it to heaven because I kept the commandments of Jesus and pleased God” in your theology, instead of “The only reason I’m in heaven is because I trusted in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ”? If so, you should really examine the foundation of your faith.

But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation-- if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. Col. 1:22-23 Just another example of how you must continue in your faith if you expect to be right with God. There is a condition for salvation. It is not once saved always saved and now nothing can remove you from the Book of Life. You need to continue in your faith and walk with Jesus! Walking and following Jesus takes all your effort in this fallen world. We can't do it on our own. We must pray for strength to overcome our weaknesses which the accuser will exploit. It is not our strength but the strength of Christ which will make us overcome. You need to be vigilant because your adversary is an opportunist. Don't fall into the trap of this once saved always saved deception. This false teaching advocates you to live your life the way you want (which will lead to death), instead of living for the will of God....

Rosemary yes you are correct that the enemy can't snatched us from God's hand. But here is the thing. God gave us free will and is not going to force us to live in His Son. Many people choose the world and thus choose the enemy and his lies. Don't be fooled! You must choose Jesus every day. You must pray for strength to resist temptations. Don't think you can do whatever you want and still be right with Jesus. Spiritual warfare is real. Once saved always saved is a cop out for people to live how they choose. Just listen to all the synicism and Narcissism people are reacting to this. They aren't going to bother to see if they have to actually all for Jesus. They just want to continue living their life how they choose. Jesus really isn't Lord over their life. This is known as hyperspace that many worldly Christians fall for. This is why they don't hear this message of the spirit.

Death and life are not always talking about spiritual death and spiritual life. The wages of sin is death, and there are temporal consequences of sin in this life. The most severe of which is death. If you live according to the flesh, you will die (i.e. physically die) but if you live by the Spirit you will live (i.e. physically live). The ONLY condition for spiritual life over spiritual death is to believe in Jesus Christ. “I am the resurrection and the life. It is self righteousness and the devil's deception to assume you are right with Jesus. He is the judge. Jesus is the word of God. Enter through the narrow gate, pick up your cross daily, and follow Him. Whoever is not willing to deny them self is not worthy to be His disciple. Not all those who say Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of Heaven; but rather those who do the will of the Father. He will say friend I never knew you. Away from me you who practice lawlessness. Do you truly know Jesus? Are you in true relationship with Him. Do you hear Him speak to you? Or are you going to assume you are once saved always saved because your fancy pastor in an expensive suit says so... Stop living as the world does and seek Jesus with all your heart, mind, and soul. You can't expect to be a true disciple if you think you are saved no matter what you do and go on living your own life. True repentance comes from your heart. Going to church on Sundays and letting your favorite pastor tickle your ears and entertain you counts for nothing. Don't assume you are once saved always saved because man says so. Get on your knees and ask the Master, Jesus Himself, if He knows you. As king David said in his Psalms, God does not listen to sinners. Does God listen to you? Does He hear your petitions? If you don't hear Him speak to you and answer your questions, then you need to ask Jesus what you need to do to be right with Him. Just because you call yourself a Christian doesn't mean you are right with Him. Don't be a deceived Christian and believe the once saved always saved lie! You must finish the race all the way to the end to get the Victor's reward. And that only comes through true repentance and true relationship. Do you have sex out of marriage? Paul says no fornicator will inherit the kingdom of Heaven. But how many deceived Christians fornicate with their girlfriends or boyfriends and think they are okay because they bought into the lie of once saved always saved. This is just one tiny example of deceived Church

Nowhere where does it talk about salvation. Paul makes it clear that he is talking about the things that ACOMPANY salvation - inheritance 6vs9. Paul makes it clear that the works will be burnt vs 8 (a clear reference to geneisis and those who labour out of there own strength(Gen 3:18).
Paul is using the comparison between old testament repentance(6 vs 1&2) and new testiment repentance(vs 4-6), saying that it is impossible to be restored by your own works - the whole point of this chapter.
Its also important to note that if we fall away that Jesus still carries our faith:
Luke 22:32 "But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back",strengthen your brothers"
Slightly different from Ryan's explanation but the same in meaning.

Once again, vs8, isn't the end of the chapter is it? I mentioned,in my explanation, that if we labour by the flesh God will burn up our works and we will be close to being cursed but still saved in the end, a clear reference to :1 Corinthians 3:15 (NIV)
"If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved-even though only as one escaping through the flames."
Paul concludes in the following verse,9, he is talking about things that ACOMPANY salvation.

Do you tell people who come back to the Lord to "go home" because Jesus is only going to reject them? and obcoarse, your church doesn't do alter calls for those who want to re-commit their lives because they have gone to far right?
I ask this because I always find the "zealous" and "true" believers as yourself are always "hypocrites" and "liyer's". that always claim a higher moral ground but when you inspect there lives they are a worst then anyone.
You do understand that many people who are looking for answers are brothers and sisters in the Lord who are scared thats at some point because they fell away and now, even though they have returned Jesus is only going to reject them. (btw the way is that the Jesus you worship? thats NOT my Lord!)so the point of these comments is to help those the enemy is afflicting and you have worked very hard to maintain that view.

I like your passion but you must understand what you are saying in regard to this scripture. There are only two ways of interpreting it.
either No1 if you fall away you cant come back" or 2 it is impossible to be restored by your own strenghts. Read the sricpiture!
What i am saying is helping you. i listen to you speak and it sounds like you are afraid.
let me remind you what Paul says: we have NOT come to the mountain that cant be touched, that is burning with fire;to darkness, goolm and storm, to a trumpet blast or to such a voice spaeking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them becuase they could not bear what was spoken - BUT YOU HAVE COME TO MOUNT ZION,TO THE CITY OF THE LIVING GOD< THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM YOU HAVE COME TO THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF ANGELS IN JOYFULL ASSEMBLY.
Your are Gods son, not becuase of what you have done but becuase what He has done. you are 100% righteouse and should be bold and confident. The enemy is using the Word to disarm you with lies that you must "perform" to be/keep on/maintain being Gods son.
This is the true message of God. IT iS GOOD NEWS!!!!!you need to start believing that God is good(really this good). You have been given the highest name that God can be called, which is abba Father(the same name Jesus uses!!)
Yes, God is Holy, but God is only described as Holy - God is DEFINED as Love!
God doesn't want you to punish yourself(he punished his son so that he would have to)

Uh...there remains no more sacrifice for sins. Jesus being the sacrifice for sins, and there is no more sacrifice, that means salvation is lost. How can you say that doesnt means salvation? If it said..if a man continually willfully sins after believing in Jesus, he loses his reward(his works are burnt), I would believe that. But it doesnt say that.
I prefer to believe that those that fall away unto dark apostasy where they can no longer be convicted of sin, were never actually saved because the Holy Spirit will strive and strive and strive with those who continue to hear Gods voice.

@PlowsharesintoSwords basically the context is saying it is impossible to crucify Jesus again, and by returning to works after being saved by grace is like trying to crucify Jesus over and over again like the animal sacrifices that had to be done over and over again because animal sacrifices did not take away sin but only covered sin. Jesus was the once for all sacrifice that removes sin. The "falling away" here was the Jews wanting to return to the works of righteousness of the Old Testament to escape persecution. The very point, then, is that works of righteousness will be burned up and that the righteousness which is by faith will not be burned.

And let's be clear. We all make mistakes on a daily basis. But we must strive for perfection and live Holy, Godly lives as the apostle Paul states. If your attitude is like, "I can live how ever I want because I am automatically covered by the blood of Jesus", then you are letting your "soul" talk and not the Holy Spirit. You need to know the difference between your soul, your spirit, and the Holy Spirit. Not every Christian has the Holy Spirit living in them. Only Jesus can give you this.. It is a spiritual battle on a daily basis. If you aren't engaging in spiritual warfare, then there is a big vale covering your eyes...

"Fall away" means apostasy. It means that people will start teaching and preaching doctrines that are contrary to true doctrine. It in no way means that saved people will lose their salvation. It just means many will follow the false doctrine, but not saved people. It says that the doctrines will be convincing enough to deceive the elect "IF it were possible." But, it isn't possible to deceive the elect (those who have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them). Anyone who is afraid they can lose their salvation doesn't really have eternal life. If the promise isn't ETERNAL, that would make God a liar. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is "the seal of the promise." Salvation is sealed!

@@graftme3168 So the thing with eternal life is it comes via spirit - which is eternal. Flesh and blood is temporary and passes away so sins committed by flesh also pass away. But sins committed in the spirit - do not pass away. That is why the only eternal sin is Blasphemy against the holy spirit - meaning to corrupt the holy spirit through sin. That is what this is talking about. In order to do this you have to have had a pentacostal style born again experience - which 99.9999999999% of christians today have not. Yes, once saved always saved, but there are MANY deluded people whom think they are saved. The Bible is full of examples of these people, from the parable of the sower to the narrow path to the sabbath rest... Lord Jesus said to MANY whom believe they are saved... Matthew 7:22-23 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

For all of you who believe the false doctrine "once saved always save", think about this: Satan used to be one of God's most beautiful angels. His name was Lucifer which means "light bearer". Well, he let pride and vanity get to him and was cast out of Heaven for ever. He deceived a third of the angels and took them with him. These are the demons who are now at war with the children of God and deceive the whole world. If God did not spare the angels who rejected Him, what do you think He will do to a believer who once tasted the fruits of the Holy Spirit, and then goes back to his old way of life. It would be better to not know the ways of righteousness, than to have known it and then trample His grace under your feet...

I'm still reconciling different verses like these into my understanding of grace and salvation. One thing that has helped is that there are multiple judgments or at least types of judgments. All we who trust in Jesus will stand before the judgment seat of Jesus to give an account of our lives living by faith. Our salvation may be secure (I'm not certain yet), but our rewards are not. There are degrees of reward for Christians and degrees of punishment for the condemned. It may well be that many christians who didn't lift a finger to help anyone will not be allowed near to Jesus where you will absolutely want to be. Whatever the case, Jesus, Paul and others urged to work out our faith for a reason. We WILL regret not walking in the Spirit and doing our best to love God and love others. There were promises of reward made ONLY to those who persevere...IF you keep trusting. Not trusting IS disobedience and we will be judged by our works.

    Hebrews 6 Verse 4
a [For it is impossible ...] Two outstanding facts:
    1. Christians can backslide, tearing down the foundation of repentance that is already laid. Should they ever again be admitted into Christ, they will have to build again the foundation of repentance and do their first works again (Heb. 6:1-2; 2:1-4; Rev. 2:5).
    2. Christians can fully apostatize from Christ, completely rejecting Him and His atoning work, so that it is impossible to renew them again to repentance (Heb. 6:4-9; 10:26-29; 2Pet. 2:20-22).
b [those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost]

    Fivefold Former State of Apostates
    1. Were once enlightened, but not now enlightened (Heb. 6:4). Thayer's Greek Lexicon says this refers to "those who have been made Christians." Paul uses the same term of saved individuals elsewhere (Eph. 1:18; Heb. 10:32; cp. Ps. 19:7-8; Lk. 11:34-36). Only saints are called "children of light" (Eph. 5:8; Col. 1:12; 1Th. 5:5), and only saved people are spoken of as being in the light (Mt. 5:14-15; Lk. 16:8; Jn. 3:20-21; 8:12; 12:36; Rom. 13:12; Eph. 5:14; Col. 1:12; 1Jn. 1:7; 2:9-10). Only people who have not been saved as spoken of as being darkened from gospel light (2Cor. 4:4; Eph. 4:18; 5:8; Col. 1:13; 1Th. 5:5; 1Pet. 2:9; 1Jn. 1:6; 2:8-11).
    2. Have tasted of the heavenly gift (Heb. 6:4). The Greek: geuomai (GSN-), have experience of. Translated "to eat" (Acts 10:10; 20:11; 23:14) and "to taste" (Heb. 6:4,5; 2:9; Mt. 16:28; 27:34; Mk. 9:1; Lk. 9:27; 14:24; Jn. 2:9; 8:52; Col. 2:21; 1Pet. 2:3). How could one taste of death, taste the Lord, taste the heavenly gift, and other things of these passages without experiencing them?
    3. Were made partakers of the Holy Spirit (Heb. 6:4). Greek: metochos (GSN-), partner and fellow with (note, Heb. 3:1). No sinner is a partaker of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:9-16). It is almost blasphemy to accuse the Holy Spirit of being a partner, sharer, and an associate with the ungodly. Jesus said that sinners cannot receive the Holy Spirit (Jn. 14:17). Jude confirmed the same truth (Jude 1:19).
    4. Have tasted the good Word of God (Heb. 6:5). To taste the Word of God is to be saved, as proved in Mt. 13:20-23; Lk. 8:13-15; Jn. 15:3; Acts 2:41; 4:4; 8:14; 11:1; 17:11; Rom. 10:9-10; Eph. 5:26; Jas. 1:18-25; 1Pet. 1:18-23. No man receives the Word and remains unsaved.
    5. Have tasted the powers of the world to come (Heb. 6:5). To taste of these powers means to experience eternal life. Every time such statement is found it refers to eternal life (Mt. 10:30; Lk. 18:30; 20:35). See notes on Heb. 10:26-29.
    Verse 6
a [If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance]

Fourfold Apostasy and the End of Apostates
    1. If they shall fall away (Heb. 6:6). "Fall away" is from the Greek: parapipto (GSN-), to fall aside; apostatize; fall away. It means to throw overboard all faith in the experiences of the gospel and to deny them. People are here warned that such is possible. How could they fall away from the experiences of Heb. 6:4-5 if they never had them? The language is past tense and factual so it cannot be denied that the ones referred to did at one time have experiences.
    2. To renew them again to repentance is impossible. The reason given is that they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to open shame. This is the final act of apostasy. They publicly judge Him an imposter and worthy of death. That is, they do not believe in Him or His atonement any longer. Since such faith is the only thing that could renew them again to repentance, it then becomes impossible. How could they be renewed again to repentance if they had not experienced repentance before? The word "again" means once more; another time; anew; and this require repentance once before
    3. As that which bears thorns and briers, they are rejected (Heb. 6:8). Greek: adokimos (GSN-). See note b, 1Cor. 9:27.
    4. The end of apostates (Heb. 6:8). Just like that which bears thorns and briers is burned, so apostates are to be punished in eternal hell (Isa. 66:22-24; Mt. 25:46; Mk. 9:43-49; Rev. 14:9-11; 20:10-15).

Lark Bird We know this, and it's what destroys our hope if you DO make that mistake. It can happen under the influence of something, when you thought you could handle it, when you thought you were doing really well with the Lord and He would protect you and keep you from falling no matter what. Or it can happen with OSAS leniency, being faced with persecution or extreme temptation (sexual lust from someone you really like/care about coming onto you in an overt, insistent way), or anything else, and breaking in that moment by using the excuse that you already know you don't REALLY want to do it, and that God will forgive you because you WILL repent afterwards, so you lose control in the moment (ironically, by taking control back from God, which is only an illusion of control when it's in your hands). It can happen to people. He said, Take heed, lest ye fall.

And here is another point. Paul said no fornicator will inherit the kingdom of God. Every other sin is out of the body. But this one is against the body. Don't you know your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? But how many Christians engage in premarital sex and fight to the death that they can't lose their salvation. Don't you know that the two become one flesh. Don't you know you become one with the prostitute? If you have broken one commandment you have broken them all. Unless you truly repent and are sorry, and stop doing it, you are not right with Jesus. But the worldly Christians think they are okay because they believe this lie too of once saved always saved and continue to defend their lifestyle...

Being a Greek NT teacher, this is my translation.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure healthy teaching, but according to their own intense desires they will gather lots of teachers for themselves tickling their hearing; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to myths.
We all know what both Hebrews 6 and chapter 10:26 says that you can lose your salvation, now don't we?
Christ appeasing the wrath of God is not in the NT. His whole mission was to defeat the devil and set the captives free being held in slavery because of the lusts giving into the devil's temptations, causing sin and therefore death.
Christ sets us free in repentance (turning from serving the devil to obeying Jesus doing good) and baptism. Romans 6:1-6 says we DIE with Christ satisfying the Law of Sin and Death... set free... justified.
vs 7 whoever has died is justified from sin.
As a Greek teacher, it is frustrating to see the dishonesty of translators in vs 7 unwilling to translate it clearly as JUSTIFIED FROM SINS due to dying with Christ.
Now as the NT says again and again,

But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did." 1John 2 We have to remain in Christ if we expect to be saved. If you walk in darkness the truth is not in you. You are not once saved always saved. Christians are buying into this lie and fornicating, committing adultery, gossiping, etc., etc., because they think they are once saved always saved. You need to walk in the Spirit and not live according to your flesh man. Once saved always saved is a made up lie that from the devil himself that wants you to sin because he has convinced you that you can't lose your salvation. You have to be in relationship with Jesus and choose Him everyday with all the choices that come to you in life. It really is spiritual warfare and most don't even realize it. We aren't talking about mistakes, but rather choosing a lifestyle that is not Christ centered. Basically living for yourself and the world. This is how children of the devil live. Not all who claim Jesus as their Lord are true Christians. This video is just once example of worldly "Christians" teaching a fake Jesus. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. Paul talks of "carnal"sinners, who was getting drunk, angry, bitter, committing fornication and so on. He addresses them as bereathren, implying they are saved or he would not have addressed them as such. He goes on to say that God chastises his children and they were punished on earth for sins of gluttony, drunkenness and such by sickness even some afflicted with death. They did not loose salvation but was punished. It's not ideal to live in sin as there are earthly consequences of punishment and you can loose rewards in heaven. Also Sampson was a fornicator and a man of God. For his sin he suffered earthly punishment, having his eyes gouged out. His last prayer before he committed murder suicide was to get revenge on what was done to him instead of repentance. King David was an adulter, he also worshipped false Gods and demons. He was a man of God and after Gods heart. He was warned several times by God about his sin but was punished as chastisment from God. He was also a man of God, yet rebelled and a sinner like we all are. He did not loose his salvation.
No I'm not implying or telling anyone to live in sin or rebel. We should put our trust and faith in Jesus Christ that he is our Lord and savior, he died for all sins, past present and future. It was done, nailed to the cross. We need him as we are sinners. No work will save us, not trying to be obedient or disobedient. Only Jesus Christ can he washed all sins and upon trusting having faith in Jesus HIS WORK in us, not our own self righteousness , changes us, gives us a new heart and mind and it's a sanctification, a work in process he works in us to change our behavior toward sin him causing us to not desire it anymore. Wow! Ok, where did is say a foundation of works? i said a foundation of law, to produces works(and i'm the one twisting phrases?).
Pual is saying that they don't understand the meanings of chapter 6 in the old covenant. Just like they dont undestand that Jesus is a priest in the order of Melchidec(5vs10,11,12 and 6vs12) and not Aaron, who was under the old .
They are "dull minded"(5vs11) - but their MINDS were made DULL, for the to this day the same VEIL remains when the OLD COVENANT is read(2 cor 3:14)
6vs 1 is talking about the "principals" of old covenant that DESCRIBE Jesus
      For example
No1 Laying on of Hands(this was performed on lambs and bulls for the transeference of sin onto animals - a picture of Jesus as the lamb having our sin transfered onot him)
No2 "doctrines of baptisms"(notice the plurality - how many doctines are there?). the bapitisms under the old include the flood of Noah, which was a picture of Jesus, dying under the law/judgement.
in fact 6vs 1 , in the greek can be rendered in the greek" the (mere) finger paintings"
In other words, seeing examples of Jesus in the old covenant.
Paul is saying"the old is a shadow(example/picture) of the old, not the reality itself"heb 10 vs1. and that they needed to "move forward" into the reality itself.
The topic(context) arises in 5 vs 10 all the way to 6vs 12 because Jesus was a high priest even though he didnt come from the tribe of priests(Levis)
In otherwords, because be wasn't from Aaron, how could he be a priest? because he was from the order of Mechisedec that had nothing to do with the law like the"principals of Christ are in themselves not Him, just examples of him),
Thus they couldnt place they faith in acts of law(works) but must move forward in Grace - my point of this chapter.

Repentance does not Save you. Belief on The Lord Jesus Christ Saves. repent means Change of mind. God even repented in the Old testament many times. (But it had nothing to do with sin) Since God cannot sin. also this was written to the Hebrews. they came from a sacrificial system from their old roots of religion. and was trying to go back under them ways and laws for righteousness. rather then accept the Real Lamb of God. Jesus who paid for all sin at once. even the non believers sins are paid for. they just do not receive that Salvation unless they Believe it (John 1:12) another thing is the Jew has to repent (Change their mind) of WHAT it takes to get to Heaven. as in they need to understand the religious system they use does not work and learn they need something else to Save to other then that system they use. welcome to the goodnews. the Gospel. believe on Jesus Christ alone. My understanding from reading. I will keep studying as well. just look for yourself over these things to see if there correct.

There's not 1 single verse in scripture that says a truly redeemed believer can ever lose their salvation.
You might have over 80 verses that you can twist into making it appear that way but it's an absolute necessity for you to separate each from context and use them in a topical format.
But once again, you completely ignored my comment and went straight to your talking points.
Where does this verse mention losing salvation?
I commented on your Galatians 6:8 proof text also. Care to move there?
You came on a video that refutes loss of salvation for the believer in Hebrews 6. Your purpose was to refute once saved always saved and you even said it came from the devil.
This doctrine is taught by Jesus Christ and all writers of the Bible who were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
I have not one time questioned your salvation, your heart, etc. Only your misunderstanding of your out of context proof texts.
The first sign of resistance you received, you started questioning my Christianity and claiming I don't have Jesus in my heart while simultaneously avoiding any form of biblical discussion about your interpretation of scripture.
I know you can't provide a biblically supported answer for my question about this specific verse. That's why you are avoiding a contextual discussion.

So after becoming a Born-again Christian, it is the right thing to read your Bible, and pray every day, and you will grow, grow, grow. It is also a good thing to have fellowship with other Born-again believers. But what happens if a Born-again Christian gives into temptation, and sins, begins to walk in the flesh more so then not? He stops going to Church, he stops reading the word of God, and he does not grow any more, and he fellowships with sinners. And he becomes unequally yoked together with unbelievers. Has he not lost his Salvation, has he not lost his hold on Eternal life with Christ Jesus? I know Salvation in and of itself, that which God has provided is eternal. Yet, this man is now a sinner is he not, if he is like one of them? But wait, low and behold the Holy Spirit convinces this man of his waywardness, his sin, and his separation from God. And like the Prodigal Son, he gives into the conviction power of the Holy Spirit and he repents of the sin in his life, and of the sin that he has done, and of the unrighteousness he has committed, and comes home to be with the Lord Jesus again. Is this not good news? Is the Grace of a Holy God insufficient to accept the lost son home again?

Man is given free will and they are given choices every day. It is black and white. You can't dine at the table with demons and still think you are a sheep of the Lord. Jesus wants all of you. Just because you call yourself a Christian doesn't mean you are saved. Listening to pastors will not save you. Many people don't want to give up their life for Jesus. Most of these people believe what they want to believe and are not in real relationship with the Master Himself. Christ died once to pay the ransom of original sin. But this is not a ticket to live like the world. You must work out your salvation every day. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. In that day you will hear depart from me, I never knew you... A real Christian lives a holy obedient life and lives for 100% for Jesus. They spend lots of quiet time with the Lord to get spiritual strength to give up things that aren't pleasing to Him. His sheep hear His voice and follow Him. If you have never heard God speak, how do you think you are in relationship with Him. Don't let any pastor or anyone fool you that you can do whatever you want and still be saved. You must be developing your relationship everyday and not bury your talent like the foolish servant. This servant will be tossed out into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Why do you think Jesus talked more about hell than Heaven. Because He wants you to fear God!

Where in the gospels did Jesus say, "great, now that you are my child you are saved no matter what you do? You are now once saved always saved.." No, Jesus said repent because the kingdom of God is near. When Jesus healed the maim, He told them to stop their life of sin or something worse will happen. He called the pharisees hypocrites because they didn't want to hear from God and hear about their sin. They believed more in their church, than what God was actually telling them. To truly repent means you must stop your sinning. The Holy Spirit will not live in a dirty temple. The only one who can wash you clean is Jesus. He died on the cross and shed His blood as a payment for the sin we inherited from Adam. But you must repent from your heart if you expect to be called a servant of God. Calling yourself a Christian is not a license to live how you want. You were bought at a price. Your life is no longer your own. If you think by keep on doing what you want to do i.e. watching secular television, gossiping with your friends, listening to rock music, having idols in your life, masturbating, going out to clubs, dating and making out with various partners, etc., etc. etc., and then going to church on Sundays and saying I repent is called repentance, you are deceived. You are not once saved always saved! Every day is spiritual warfare and the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion waiting for a deceived Christian to be devoured. If you are not connected to the vine, you will be cut off and thrown into the fire where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Read the Scriptbaptizures and you will find at least 80 verses that talk about the possibility of a believer to lose his salvation! You must move forward and multiply your talents. Don't be like the foolish servant who buried the master's money and didn't invest it. This would be the stagnant Christian who does nothing to be right with God because He or she believes once saved always saved. His doctrine in his heart is-- "I don't have to strive to crucify the body daily because no matter what I do, I am under grace. God loves me and I am saved". This is also called the lukewarm Christian whom Jesus said He will spit out of His mouth because you are neither hot nor cold... Wake up sleeper! You must work out your salvation with the MASTER and ask Him to convict you of areas He is not pleased with. Most Christians think they have been baptized with the Holy Spirit. But most are not. Most are of this world......

They don't see His other side of strictness and wrath. To think you are saved just because you call Jesus Lord is equal to faith without works. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith without works is dead! It is like the man who looks in the mirror and then immediately forgets what he looks like when he leaves. It is like the seed that is planted in rocky soil and withers in the sun because it has no root. If you still do what you want to do and think you are saved because you call Jesus Lord, you are deceived. Only those who do the will of the Father will rightly be called children of God. Not some false doctrine of once saved always saved. This is the worldly Christian's doctrine and excuse to do whatever sin they fancy over. It is a ticket to Hell. Don't rely on man. But if after receiving the Holy Spirit and tasting its fruits you get sucked back into the world and give in to carnal desires and temptations from the devil, you are in danger of having your consciousness seared. At this point you are worse off than you were before because now you knew better. You now have trampled the Son of God on your feet and separated yourself from Him. The Holy Spirit will not live in a filthy house. You now are not right with Him. And you knew better! This is an example of the lukewarm Christian that Jesus talks about in Revelation. When a minister starts making jokes and trying to win you over to his point of view , just get up and leave because serious topics like this should never be taken lightly . You don't lose your salvation , you leave the Faith like Demas did in 2 Timothy 4 :10 . Adam died spiritually when he disobeyed God . There are several examples of those who left the faith and they could not enter the kingdom of heaven . They were in Outer Darkness outside of the kingdom of heaven nothing said about them going into Hell Fire ? esus saved them from the flames but could not violate their Free Will and hold them against their will .No Rebel will be in heaven .

    When is salvation obtained?
1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; CONTINUE in them: for in doing this ((thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.))Paul was telling Timothy who had the Holy Spirit, to continue in the doctrine in order that he would obtain salvation. This is true for every believer. Read the parable of the sower (Luke 8:9-15).
No one is saved unless they are accounted worthy of their calling.

Such good teaching! I'm OSAS but attend a "lose your salvation" denomination, however our pastor never preaches this doctrine from the pulpit. We are now studying Hebrews in the ladies bible study. The video series is led by a Baptist woman, so I'm waiting to see how my class will react when she gets to this passage...should be interesting...and I"m going to be prepared to offer some of your examples, especially the fact that our righteousness is NOT dependent on us! THE CROSS IS ONCE AND FOR ALL, and we are ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED...praise God!!!

Of course we are saved! The Israelites were saved from slavery, and we are saved from the chains of sin. The question is : will WE reach the promised land? Will you endure til the end? The matter isn’t in loosing your salvation or not, it’s if we will get to the place we intend to go!

@@christfollower8256 Those 2 are part of 2 different COVENANTS, they cannot be used side by side, How will we not reach the promise, By which means, It can't be sin, We won't leave him and he won't leave us, By which means? You know what else happened in the Old covenant though.. ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD and guess what.. IT WAS COUNTED UNTO HIM AS RIGHTOUSNESS, The new testiment says this verse again. God says he is able to save us completly, It says Nothing can seperate us from the love of God in christ, If we believe in vein Then we weren't saved. The people of God being born again are new creations, The word says he is faithful and will keep us BLAMELESS on that day, It says he will make sure WE DO the works he planned for us, In fact Coming to christ is ALL HIS DOING, We can't get saved unless 'the lord thy god draws you' The bible says 'God CHOSE you YOU did not CHOOSE HIM, it says He predestined us to salvation. Even our salvation was not our own doing, It was completly Gods, God chose you before the world was made, So for you to NOT reach the promised land, God would have to choose you, elect you, And then disown you , and UN CHOOSE YOU... We can do nothing apart from God. He is in control completly Salvation belongs to him alone, Nothing we could do to even COME TO HIM, God says NO ONE will come to him, No ONE seeks God, NO ONE chooses God. And it says 'you have been SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT Until the DAY OF REDEMPTION... SEALED, The bible says 'The holy spirit is OUR DOWNPAYMENT.... Gaurenteeing ... OUR SALVATION... We already were paid for, God won't undo, and Jesus, said, I will lose NONE the father has given me, LOSE NONE, and Who gave us to jesus... The father CHOSE and GAVE.

If you cant lose your salvation, than what exactly it the "great falling away"?
That sure seems to speak that person can lose it. If they can "fall away".

This is also why LEGALISM isn't true. It's a twofer. Thank you, God, and thank you, Ryan. I have been stuck in a weird amalgam of legalism/fundamentalism/charismania/other for most of my life, and I was robbed of the God who loved me, and dear God, it makes me want to cry. I want Christ, I was robbed, but HE found me. I believe this is the issue with any theological camp, so to speak. You start rabbit-trailing, and the next thing you know, you're far from God. It's good news, indeed that He upholds us with His righteous right hand.

I like the most overlooked word in that scripture, “impossible.” Also being saved is understanding that Jesus Christ is in you and you are one with God, without loss of identity but just as God. How can God lose himself? It defeats the purpose of the true meaning of Christian. Solomon walked with God all his life and near the end he messed up, was he lost? NO. David was a culprit and murderer and he was the son of God, psalm 2 and psalm 89. And finally Jesus says all sin will be forgiven except the sin against the Holy Spirit, and even there there is one word that shows this too can be overlooked cause it says you “could be” in danger of not being forgiven. At the end of the day enlightenment means understanding that Jesus Christ is in you, crucified on you, resurrected in you and you in him, therefore, it is impossible for God to fail, and you and God are one.

There are things that if you do them you will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Galatians 5 vers 19,20 and 21 says.

Ezekiel 18: 21 - 23 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statues, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 22. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. 23. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? 24. But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. 25. Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? 26. When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Isaiah 55: 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thought than your thoughts.

If we could lose salvation, we will all be going to hell.
