God delivered me from the gay lifestyle, porn, alcohol, drugs and cigarettes 10 years ago. I pray for those struggling with these things. I know how hard it is to quit. Ask the Lord for strength and renew your mind daily with His Word. Temptation is always there but you need His strength. I couldn’t do it alone.
@@preluder4 HI. I sympathize with your situation. I strongly recommend you look for a book called "Victory over the Darkness" by Niel Anderson. I would recommend the audio book from audible. Jesus loves you. You need to first surrender to him without trying to present a perfect version of yourself. You need his grace more than your works. I hope the book helps.
PeaceInHumility God may feel absent right now, but we always need to seek him. I have felt far from salvation at times in my walk with Christ, but it is God who redeems us and not our own works. I urge you now to delete all types of social media that influence you in an ungodly way, to stop reading those fantasy novels, to block pornography and like and follow things like Fight The New Drug on Facebook. Join a church and try to be vulnerable with a pastor and find support. God says he forgives all sins except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Read the Bible consistently. It will not come easy. But when other Christians are behind you in support you will be healed. As a child I had a demon in my home that focused on me, only because of the constant prayer of my parents Christian friends did it leave. I still have night terrors that are but an echo of that time, but the demon itself is gone. This message you have written makes it seem like you have given up, I urge you not to.
@@preluder4 Hi, I'm wondering if it would be better if you went to a mature Christian for deliverance prayer. I seriously think you need to get this sorted..to persevere because God loves you and it's obvious he's doing a great work in your life and healings. You are not alone..many of us are struggling with all sorts of things. Do you know why? Because THE TIME IS SHORT..and he's wanting to clean us up..Jesus is coming soon!! God will forgive you if you ask him and he wants you to repent and you want to repent. He will forgive you for communicating with succubus if you will turn away from this. Also, you need to repent of anything of the occult..even horoscopes..because as you know it's dangerous to open yourself up to anything other than God's precious, loving Spirit. You need to renounce the occult and have nothing to do with it and I sincerely hope n pray you will seek someone out to walk with you in this. We don't have to put up with these things because we are blood bought sons n daughters of the Most High. Jesus died for you..he loves you n I believe he wants to do a deep work of healing in you. You mustn't give up and need to stop thinking and talking as if you've resigned yourself to hell. Jesus died for you to be with him and HE'S who you're gonna be with!!
*The key to overcoming repetitive sins is to read God's word everyday and then praying and surrendering yourself to Christ. Ask God to lead you away from temptation and to deliver you from evil. Remain vigilant on what your eye sees and what you ears hear. God bless.*

Jacob, I want to let you know, that if Jesus lives in you, he will be faithful to you, even when we are not! The enemy always wants to get her eyes off Jesus! Does Jesus live in you? Please let me know I would love to talk to you more about this if he doesn’t 😊
Hey, my friend! We all HURT at one time or another (Christians). JESUS CHRIST-SAVIOR never said it would be easy, ok! He said: in this world, ye shall have TRIBULATION (Trouble-trials). God never said that the Christian walk would be a BED OF ROSES, or better yet, that our CHRISTIAN WALK would be through a Bed of Roses, right? Sometimes, we bring trouble upon ourselves! BIBLE SAYS...Can a man take FIRE in his Bosom and not be BURNED, of course not! You play with SIN, ya gonna get BURNED!
@DyingToLiveForJesus Brother I love you but this just isn't true. Go back to the Word. Jesus said, "I give eternal life and all whom the Father give me (ALL) no man can snatch from My Hand." Not even Andrew. John 10:28 Jesus said the branch in the vine that produces no fruit gets cut off and thrown into the fire. But the branch was IN THE VINE. John 15:5 And not only that, your statement totally goes against what Jesus said to all whom the Father gave Him (every born again believer) that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. This is in love brother but what you are telling are brother Andrew just doesn't line up with The Word of God.
Praying for you Alex, stop watching television and abstain from social media for a season. Seek the Almighty God through praying, fasting, reading the bible and worshipping. The word of our heavenly father/Almighty God says in.. Isaiah 55:6-13 KJV 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
all sin is wilfull confess it and keep walking in the spirit, dont let satan condemn you, YOU ARE NO longer under condemnation but under the chastening of God, live in the victory of what Jesus our lord accomplished, look foward Jesus not your failures, YOU ARE an overcomers the second you BELIEVED, God bless you
Every sin is willful. John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He (GOD) is just and faithful and will forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness"
I don't believe every sin is willful. I am a born again Christian and about a year ago I accidentally burned my finger badly and I either dropped the s-bomb or f-bomb really loud. I didn't mean to say it, it was more of a reaction LOL. I quickly repented even though my finger hurt really bad
@@jonpool9030 no wrong, we live in the flesh which is prone to sinfulness, but willing sin is usually premeditated. Such as, 'I really want those pair of shoes but don't have the money, I could steal them!' Or, planning to commit adultery or other sexual sins. Having homosexual thoughts and instead of turning away, falling into sexual sin and living out your fantasy. Being in the flesh is the occasional cuss word, having wrong thoughts, etc, to which we are all prone, but premeditated sin is willful sin, planning and knowing what you are going to do.
Father, I have done it again. I said that I would try harder this time but I did it again. Please help me. Please change my heart to no longer desire the things of the flesh and the things of this world. Please God make me desire you and only you through thick and thin. @@liaujingcheng8937 It's not about your performance to have so long a streak, but it's about your commitment to God. Let's say you marry a woman. As a good husband, it will never be about seeing how long you will be faithful to that woman if your heart is with her and you were glad to marry her. You will just focus on being faithful to your wife that you love. You won't need to count the days, just make sure nothing has come in the way of your love for your wife. I say that to you because that helps you relate to having a relationship with God. God hears your prayers when you are in agreement with Him about the way you will live. You need to agree 100% with God about what is evil and wanting nothing to do with it. So, you need to repent and be committed to follow Jesus (that is what faith is about). @@beelzzebub Amen. God doesn't WANT us to sin, but whether we do or don't, it does not effect our ETERNAL SALVATION. It will effect our life on this earth and our WALK, but not our justification which is 100% by grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. :)
I feel like God won't forgive me anymore, i confess my sin to God and after few weeks of confession i have sex with a girl.. I did knowingly that God is sad and i was making evil happy.. I hesitate to have sex at first but after sometime i decided i will do it even if i make God angry. Now i regret it and i feel God won't forgive such sin. I prayed for forgiveness but i do not feel peace or happiness in my life again.
I needed to hear this... I am truly a believer in Jesus Christ, but in recent months I have given myself to the pleasures of the world. I am currently living in Europe and don’t have a lot of strong believers around me to hold me accountable. I have still heard the conviction from the Holy Spirit in my heart, but I have continued to live in sin and I’ll be honest that conviction has grown dimmer and dimmer. However, listening to this video has been a bit of a wake up call. I don’t believe that I have lost my salvation, I love the lord. But the more we knowingly live in sin the harder it becomes to hear from the lord and in return brings doubt into our minds (and for good reason) I think the biggest issue for many western believers is facing up to the harsh reality that being a Christian is not easy, especially when your outside of your bubble of fellow believers and daily routine. I would say that the biggest reassurance in regard to my salvation is the feeling of the spirit I receive when I am in a true place of worship and fellowship. I found a great church that preaches the word of God from the text without twisting it to fit societies standards, which is a massive blunder that many churches are engaging in these days. When the worship began and the preacher spoke I felt an overwhelming presence of love and joy that one can only feel if they know Jesus. I believe i felt this so heavily because I had been outside of a Christian setting for a few months at that point. What I’ve been neglecting to realize as of late is that JESUS CHRIST is ALWAYS seeking us out and will NEVER forsake those who truly love him. If anyone makes it this far down correct me if I’m wrong. Thank you.
Mystic Mac Thank you for sharing, I would like to share what gives me confidence in Christ. The sacrifice that Christ made was and is unfathomable by our finite minds..this sacrifice created salvation which is given freely to those who ask for it. Therefore, salvation can only be lost if God takes it back and not by our sinful actions because it was not given because of good actions. Final point- God continues to bring us to perfect holiness all throughout our walk with him and that will involve stumbling every now and then but its a journey, heck for some it even involves denouncing Christ...but the love of God is so great such that He is always reaching out somehow to bring us back. He has never left you and He loves you very much even right now. God bless you and I hope you find some great brethren soon to fellowship with.
I can relate and the best way to combat this is to spend as much time as possible ( also on-line) in worship, prayer, and reading of the word, ie holy habits, it does take some discipline, be blessed.
I really appreciate hearing your honesty! That takes courage and being about to admit your faults is nothing to be ashamed about. I'd just say to keep listening to the voice that made you watch this video. Start to diligently seek God through scripture and prayer. Just ask Him for help and hang on to the promise that He is the way and He will make you a life that is better than the one where your half in. Be a leader to those around. It will feel uncomfortable at first but its so cool to watch God work with what you bring him and transform lives. Like yours and the ones around you. You may be the only bible the people around you ever get

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore Brethren by the mercies of God that you present your body a Living Sacrifice which is your reasonable form of worship. I've been saved since 19 74. And the road has been Rocky. But the holy spirit is always been there to lead and guide me into all truth. Sometimes when we're backslidden hardness comes over our heart. But hold on to the fact that God loves you and he never leaves you or forsake you. Sometimes when you continue in sin you allow the enemy to destroy your life. I was pretty much felt like I was going to die I was so gone then the Holy Spirit came with the message of God's love and grace into my room and I repented and came back to the Lord. Now if my heart and my mind isn't stayed on him I do not feel right. For me I find the best Warfare is in good solid Christian worship music. I recommend Don Moen on TH-cam as a good place to start especially his live stuff. And there's a lot of good classic contemporary Christian music from the 80s that will cheer you up also. If you are getting this message because Jesus loves you and hearing you. Remember if you resist the devil and draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Peace and blessings Jesus mighty name
I'm glad that God put these frightening verses throughout the Bible. It's a cold hard slap of reality, reminding us not to trifle with Him. I've laid awake fretting over some of these words, but He has always helped me see why. He's not a liar He will forgive you if you ask and repent of whatever you doing to make you afraid.
After listening to his other talk about “can you lose salvation” and then listening to this, the answer is NO. Yet let us be clear: it’s important to forsake our old wicked ways and to repent. 🙌🏼 Turn away from your sin and never look back

It didn't get changed shortly while the Bible says it's impossible to sin after know Jesus. I'm afraid if it's possible to repent after see the truth while Hebrew 10 26 says it's absolutely bad to sin after know the truth. (Or maybe I'm not delivered yet)Pray for me and let me know the Biblical truth.
@@7ren10 that’s not what the willful sinning verse (Hebrews 10:26) means. If you read in complete context (the whole chapter) and ask for wisdom you will see that it’s actually talking about people who go away from the sacrifice of Jesus. It’s for people who basically go back after hearing the knowledge of truth (that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again in the third day.) only His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Only He is the sacrifice that can take away our sins, not animals sacrifices or anything else. That’s why there is no more sacrifice remaining for them because only the Lord Jesus is. They insult the Spirit of grace. We aren’t disciplined in order to become a son. It’s because we are a son that we are disciplined. We received the Holy spirit by the hearing of faith and believing in the gospel right? (The gospel is stated in 1 corinthians 15 1-4) So then how can we lose our salvation or the Holy Spirit by anything else we do if we never received it by anything other than believing the gospel? “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:1-14, 22, 24-26 “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.” Romans 4:3-9 “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:4-9 “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans 4:19-25 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION: in whom also after that ye believed, YE WERE SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby YE ARE SEALED unto the day of redemption.” what is the gospel?: “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 It’s great to pray for help to turn from sin and to be lead by the Holy Spirit our of your love for Jesus, however it’s important to know you are not saved that way. It’s important to believe in the gospel for your salvation: how the Lord Jesus died for your sins, was buried and rose again on the third day. There’s only one gospel and one way to be saved. Only Jesus saves. You are already forgiven and have passed from death into life. The blood of Jesus is the atonement for your sins and we are cleansed from all unrighteousness by the blood of Jesus. We are saints to God and we are His children. Thank you if you actually read all of this. Jesus loves you! Make sure to ask Him for confirmation in all of this. :) 💗

There’s a difference between a man who is thirsty for righteousness and a man who is continuously rebellious against God (wilful sinners.) Jesus didn’t die so we could continue in sin, but to turn from sin. God bless you all, and i hope you have a good night/ day👊🏼🔥
@Captain Killmonger looks like Calvinism has you hook, line and sinker my friend. You've listed a bunch of false dichotomies regarding salvation. It's not as simple as you've presented it. As you might have guessed I'm not a Calvinist, but guess what I don't believe works save me! Funny thought right? My point is no one I know believes they are working their way to heaven. However does that exclude us from any responsibility whatsoever? And if you say yes does scripture verify this? And let's not twist the scripture to fit our narrative on this topic. One example, Paul said let us walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called. I won't list all of them because I'm sure you've seen those glaring scripture that fly in the face of the faith plus nothing narrative. When we accept Jesus are we automatically fixed into God and then therefore unable to resist his grace? Is it because he, from the foundation of the world decided that I would make it and therefore no matter my feeling he will make it happen? What about others who aren't so lucky? Are they damned to hell because they weren't chosen from the foundation of the world to make it? Could they ever desire to? Are we able to recognize our need of a Savior inherently or does God first have to choose us?
@Captain Killmonger firstly I never said you lied, I said you set up false dichotomies by saying that it's either one way or the other when it's more complicated than just either or.
And that's very arrogant for you to declare that Calvinism is basically the only way the gospel can be interpreted and be true, so much so that you say Satan has seen this and elected to give it a label to help confuse people. Again we don't really know each other, and we obviously don't know each other's hearts on this matter.
I don't pretend I have the ability or the time to present the whole case on a TH-cam comment section, however there are many scholars over the centuries who have presented cases for and against Calvinism who're much more apt than either of us and I don't think they all declare with as much arrogance the validity of Calvinism as you have.
And it's been stated that even Augustine didn't line up doctrinally with John Calvin on some of the topics he taught. So there's been serious fissures within your systematic for a while
You must believe right! You must believe the Gospel, that you are CLEAN! When you start to believe sin will fall off you through the Spirit, but as long as you focus on yourself and not Jesus and GRACE you will sin. I advise listing to Gospel of Grace preachers like Joseph Prince and not these people who mix works into the Gospel. Repent which means change your mind and view God as loving Father! What Father tosses out His own Son never allowing Him back into the house? NO ONE!
Hmmm! You mention the word (FILTHY) Poops! Here's a warning to those who choose to remain filthy in Sin (SINFUL-LIFESTYLE) Which includes all of us! Wow! We need a REVIVAL...

Believe that He accomplished it all personally for you. He has taken all of your sin and giving you his righteousness! And if you actually believe that he seals you with his holy spirit which is a guarantee or promise that later on you will receive a body of Glory without a sin nature. you are saved by grace not by keeping the law for the law is the strength of sin. If you rely on the grace the gift that you could not deserve ever... Then the power of sin over you starts to diminish and out of just sheer gratitude and all of him being within you doing the work in you the temptations do become weaker.
On the topic of loosing salvation. I've heard both sides. I've struggled with porn for 8 years. I just got delivered. I felt the need to fast and study the Word twice a day and to pray. There were times where I felt God had left me but I had faith. I was able to realize the horror of my deed and repent not just for the sin but for hurting God. God is our adopted Father through Christ. We need to fall down before Him with Jesus Christ as our intercessor. We must confess everything. We must plead with Him for grace knowing we don't deserve it. When a Christian sins they are offending God. They have become prodigal sons, but if they repent and turn from the sin they are immediately restored. When I mean repent tell Him everything even our motives. Agree with Him on everything. We sinned. We hurt our adopted Father. We are unworthy children. God we surrender. Take us back abba Father. Restore us. We can't live without you. Please Jesus our saviour restore our fellowship with you. We can't be without you. Refresh us with your Holy Spirit and take us back. Wash us in the blood and make us whole. In your name Jesus we pray. Amen
I completely agree with what you said including the attitude to have in a prayer of repentance. But the danger is that many preachers will not make the case for repentance as you have made it. They just want to "sell" a "you cannot lose your salvation" deal even while people are in the pig pen of sin. But the prodigal son had a moment where he came to his senses and returned to his father. He left the pig pen behind along with the mindset that got him there in the first place, being away from his father and enjoying the pleasures of the world (sin) for a season. If we can hear Jesus and abide in Him and understand the consequences of not abiding in Him, then we have all the understanding we need: _John 15:4-6_ _4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, they are thrown into the fire, and they are burned._ God be praised that you returned to Him, bro!
@@yestothetruth --- our repentance is so weak. We need to know that when we were saved Christ imputes his righteousness to us. He finished the work of taking God's wrath against our sins. He took the wrath of all our sins upon himself
@@Over-for-now That's what preachers say, but it's not what your Bible says. The message to sinners is "Repent or perish" (Luke 13:3). There is no special plan for people who just won't truly repent. There is no weak or strong repentance. You can't speak of repentance like that, at least not the repentance the Bible speaks of. It's either you will repent and be saved or you won't. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. perish = not get saved It's critical that you understand repentance like the Bible teaches it and that you repent and commit to stay obedient to God out of love. That's a path you will walk on. If you leave that path, then there is no "Once Saved Always Saved" either. You have to remain faithful to God to the end. Colossians 1:21-23 21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now✷ reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 👉 IF indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven... ✷ now means no longer being alienated and hostile in mind toward God and continuing to do evil deeds / sin.
I sinned willing when I became a believer and always thought I was unsaved. Thank you because I didn’t keep on sinning but confessed my sin to the Lord and was forgiven

We all struggle with this so much, but it's encouraging to know that the criticism I have for myself regarding my sin is just the spirit working through me and not an indication that I will not be saved because I am not Mr. Perfect. In fact, the very reason I care at all is evidence that God has implanted a new heart within me.
Mr. Self I worry the same thing. I am constantly convicted that I am disgusted with just how evil my heart is. It is truly shocking. I thought I was such a nice person before seeking Jesus and now I'm appalled. I pray God continues to open our eyes and humble us.

But even our flesh will finally be redeemed in the new creation with resurrection bodies. Therefore, we practice putting sin to death now as we are given the Holy Spirit.
Jason Stephens we are already dead to sin. There is no practice involved, only knowledge of Christ as our perfect body of works. Clean the filthiness of flesh by a good conscience toward God. So if you are dead to this body of sin, what profit do you have but death in trying to perfect it by your works? Christ is our new body, in this world and the world to come. Therefore, we have fulfilled the law through him and put all sins to death on the cross. We are now a spiritual body, raised in his righteousness, a completely new creation IN Him, hidden with Him in God (Colossians 3:3). He is our doing. He is our works. He is our life.

This is precisely why we require the continuous work of the Holy Spirit in our lives to enlighten and convict us. I guarantee you have sinned today in ways you don't yet realize or recognize. The logical consequence of your comment suggests that you have full disclosure of all sins you have committed, are committing and could commit - In which case, you are willingly and consciously commiting sin daily. For example, you've just committed the sin of distorting scripture and wrong exegesis of God's word. Renato Depaula keep in mind that the where’d no in the Greek means to know intimately. It’s the same word that Adam KNEW Eve. Jesus wasn’t saying that he did not know who they were, he was saying that they did not have a intimate relationship with him. You can tell that they got saved or else they would not call him Lord. You can tell that they had gotten saved because they would have not had the power to heal the sick in his name. The reason that they were able to function I do these things outside of the intimate relationship with Jesus was that the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable! People that function in the gifts is not an indication of their relationship with Jesus. Lord bless you brother!

Thank you so much for these words. I was really worried about my Salvation as in the past I willingly sinned...I truly thought "God...let me do this...I know it's a sin but I need it". I was so scared I could not be saved anymore...I am praying for salvation every moment but I am glad I am not doomed and the God's love is able to forgive a horrible sin like mine.
Make sure you approach God the way He expects you to with the right mindset. You must submit to God. That is essential: James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. That's what your attitude needs to be when you are going through the process of *repentance* and committing to be obedient to God for the rest of your life (that's the kind of "change of mind" God wants to see). You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key--that's how you show your faith to God (John 3:36, Luke 6:46, Hebrews 3:17-18). That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (2 Peter 1:9), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), *freedom from sin/addictions* (John 8:34-36), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is the salvation you must make sure you have experienced: freedom from sin (John 8:36, Romans 8:1-2) versus bondage to sin (John 8:34, Romans 7:23). Approaching God in genuine repentance will lead to you receiving the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)--with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Any habit that controls you reveals idolatry in your heart. You have to choose to be done with that and it will be part of your past. That's one thing that will come out of your commitment to be obedient to God for the rest of your life. Please see 1 Peter 4:1-3 and 1 Thessalonians 1:9. James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].* Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22). The word of God is fuel for your faith. To live as a follower of Jesus you must go out of your way to put the word of God in your heart and keep it there, rejecting all distractions. It's a fight and that's how you need to stand to not fall down. The truth will set you free from all sin (John 8:31-32, 36).
@@yestothetruth Thank you for your in-depth answer. I am in the process of fighting every day...but I can already see how my life is slowly changing, especially my mindset. Sometimes I feel like giving up but then I look at the cross, read the Bible and I feel empowered again.
As believers we need to be wise in regards to our salvation, the nature of salvation, how it works, it's purpose, etc, and the above question(s) of can I lose my salvation and how/what is wilful sinning are all part of the process of salvation we need to have wisdom about. Paul in Romans says that we will be saved if we confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and we believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, which seems straightforward enough, but Paul also writes to Timothy saying how from his youth the holy Scriptures(the OT) have been able to make him wise unto salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. So if it seems to be a done deal in Romans why does Paul say that knowledge of the OT is essential to understand what God has called us to in Christ? Paul when writing to the church in Corinth tells them that the experience of Israel coming under the judgement of God in the desert happened as an example to them, not to set their hearts on evil things as Israel had done and was written down as a warning to them on whom the fulfilment of the ages had come. So a precedent is set that we are to look to the example of how Israel responded to the redemptive purpose of God in order to make sense of our own response to the redemptive purpose of God in Christ. It's important to recognise that the plan of God to redeem through the Law verses the plan to redeem through Christ are completely different plans but the purpose of God remains the same in both cases: to redeem a people for himself from fallen humanity who will glorify him before the nations. God promised Israel a land to live in as a nation under the protection and provision of himself through obedience to him, thus proclaiming that Israel's God was the true God to the surrounding nations, that thay also might turn to him and serve him. However God did warn his people that if they turned from him to serve other gods it would result in their expulsion from the land he had promised to give them, a land that would be their inheritance for ever. So the promise of eternal security was conditional on their obedience to him. When Israel eventually did turn to other gods, they were constantly warned by the prophets to turn back to God or face being exiled from the land. But Israel protested and repeated God's promises(they'd remembered his promise to bless but forgotten his promise to curse!) back to the prophets of being given the land to dwell in forever and that God would never remove them from their land. God chastised false prophets, who promised Israel peace, peace and who wrongly reassured the people that they were safe and had nothing to fear from God removing them from the land, their home. The warnings of the OT are consistent with warnings from the NT that we are to perservere and overcome in being obedient and fruitful in our knowledge of God. Complacency and ignorance of God's word was Israel's downfall. Ignorance of God's word is ignorance of God himself and all that he is. The God of the OT is exactly the same as the God of the NT and Jesus represents him perfectly. The covenants may be different but God remains the same in regard to character and nature: he is Holy and his perfect standards remain the same. God gives warnings for a reason. He knows how weak and vulnerable we are in regards to the deceitfulness of sin and the hardening our hearts towards him. But remember and be encouraged: if our our own predisposition for sin is great how much greater is God's provision to set us free through the power of the Gospel, the life, death, resurrection, return and eternal reign of Jesus Christ!
I am not surprised that only one person liked your comment. Eternal security without condition is unscriptural. I will use your comment in the book I'm writing
"Paul in Romans says that we will be saved if we confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and we believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead... " Everyone who abides in Him does not sin; everyone who sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. - 1 John 3:6 If you continue to sin and don't repent, which means change your way of thinking and actively changing your behaviour, then you never really new the LORD and how can you believe in him and be saved if you don't even know him? Not everyone that calls me LORD, LORD will enter into the kingdom of heaven, only those that DO the will of my father. - Matthew 7:21 You have to actually obey JESUS not only with your mind but with your actions if you believe in him and are saved, otherwise you didn't really know him in the first place and are not saved. Being a christian means following and obeying JESUS and because of our flesh we often don't make it, for which we deserve to be cast in the lake of fire for eternity. But JESUS paid our price on the cross, so that we are rightous and without sin before him, which is not a motivation to take sin lightly but a motivation to stop sinning and be holy like JESUS is holy, so that we will endure until the end. I hope this helps brother, I'm really concerned for your soul and I am only learning myself, please pray for me aswell.

Try to understand the message below and take action as you are led. If you want God, you have to remain in his word. It seems you have despised/neglected your salvation and then that's unfortunate (Hebrews 2:1-3). I hope that's not the case. Our pastor has been preaching Exodus for weeks and I want to share something with you. We know the Passover in Exodus is like our salvation through Jesus Christ. God’s people are ultimately saved by the covering and blood of Jesus Christ, the lamb of God. However there is an added symbol of the leaven wedged in within the story of the Passover we ought not to overlook. The leaven symbolizes sin, and in the New Testament, God tells us leaven can spread like sin and can even be a small bit which can expand and grow into the whole dough lump. The people were instructed by God to remove every single trace of leaven within their homes, lest they be CUT OFF. This is an action we must take in accordance to the Will and leading of God to do something to remove sin in our lives. We are called to be holy as He is Holy. The salvation of the blood of Jesus is not complete without the repentance from sin and the acts to rid our lives of that sin. So yes a lamb can be slain for you but if you ignore the command to remove sin from your life you may be placed with the hypocrites. The New Testament talks about the leaven which is of Malice and hypocrisy. We do not want to be placed with the hypocrites or cut off from the land of the living God. We need to be much more careful in working out our salvation and daily seek His face and Will. The “once saved always saved” doctrine is lacking if all you do is take the Passover lamb but fail to remove the leaven/sin during that period of time you may be placed with the hypocrites and cut off.
If we read the story the son didn't even come back to the Father but was WILLING to and the Father seen him from far off and RAN to him. The son was only thinking about his stomach but the Father loved him SO much that he ran and met him before he even got close. Its also the same with the lost sheep, the sheep didn't get out of the pit but the Shepard went out and FOUND the lost sheep bringing him home and throwing a party. DANG OUR GOD IS SO GOOD!!!
Thank you, pastor John! That gives hope to all people thinking they lost their salvation, 'cause since they never had it, God can still save them rather than refusing to save them forever(which is terrifying)!
Ephesians 4:30 - you're sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, that's the day you go to be with the Lord - - i.e. You cannot lose your salvation
1969cmp - again Ephesians 4:30 proves that you cannot become unsaved. If you could, then Ephesians 2:8-9 is false and salvation is by works then. Because our actions and choices affect our salvation, but according to Ephesians 2:8-9 and Galatians 2:16 its nothing about us.
Brother Matthew No worries. Ill tare out Galatians as that book must be a waste of time as it is quite explicit as to what is out stake, An entire book v one verse....correction, 3 verses... And I I'm use of the Holy Spirit and know the word of God and pray and share God's love with all those around me. And I still stumble and struggle with with sin. Rest in Grace Brethren. We are called to obedience but not to continued bondage under the law. Don't worry too much because it is Gods job to take away the sin you will never be able to do it how hard you try. When you feel guilty because you do it and you didn't want to The guilt comes from Satan not God. You cannot beat sin only god can it is his responsibility. Otherwise the cross was a complete waste of time He will take it away at the right time he has appointed.
It actually is not that simple. Sinning and not repenting is not the way a saved person acts. You can't just ask Jesus to live in your heart and automatically go to heaven. Anyone who has ever said that to you is wrong, Billy Graham said that. It's a long hard road to heaven. Few will find it and the majority will be on the road to hell
@@TherealBrooks-zc5kc Billy Graham spoke softly and kindly to get all the naive people into Roman Catholicism. Leaving them confused in religious rituals, they don't know what they should believe. Christen ? Eucharist ? Count the sins committed and repent? In the end , even if they listen to the Gospel , they still believe in themselves more than in the promise of redemption by faith , the good deeds they do when they are not born again will not save them because that good deed only is cheap because of the original sin of Adam and Eve. God is 100% holy, cannot tolerate those who do not believe in Jesus for Salvation ! Grace by faith alone , not by work !
Im homeless and took food from store. I asked for forgiveness and each time I try to eat anything I hear "dont eat that food" and I cry. I plan to pay for food , but God means more to me than anything my life, breathe mean nothing if I dont have Him, Lord Jesus, and Holy Ghost. Im hungry but more hungry for God.
I recommend you lookup this message on TH-cam: _"Born Again Through Repentance And Faith"_ by Zac Poonen. Listen to it if you can. You can start listening to the full message at 23:38 exactly. Make sure you follow God's precepts to be born again and be sure of it. If your faith is being tested, you need to trust God and refuse to do what's wrong. His grace will help you live a life that is pleasing to Him (Romans 6:14, Titus 2:11-14). Peace to you!
Is there no foodbank or mission near you that can help you with food? You shouldn't have to steal food in order to stay alive. I'm sure God wouldn't want that for you. 😢
Violet, the sin the author of Hebrews is talking about is the sin of rejecting Jesus as Messiah, the sin of unbelief. This is the only sin that is mentioned in the first 10 previous chapters. So if you believe in Jesus as your savior, you are eternally secure. 🎶
@@jayheinz4624 ...I disagree that we're eternally secure. We're not saved by faith alone. Faith without works is dead, as James puts it. But yes, Hebrews 10 IS about unbelief, and I was deceived to believe that it's about all deliberate sin. Also, by "no sacrifice can cover", he was referring to animal sacrifices, not the blood of Christ. Explaining that Christ's sacrifice is permanent and perfect. And it actually forgives sins, while sin offerings of the Old Testament merely COVER them. That's what Paul actually meant: If you receive the truth and then go on sinning, you won't cover your sin no matter how many bulls or goats you sacrifice. So go ahead and believe in Christ. HE is your SOLUTION.
@@violetmind7532 you have the last part right, all you need to do is put your Faith /trust /belief in Jesus alone to be saved. Another way of saying it is opening the door of your heart to him. As He stands and knocks. Jesus wants us to know that we have eternal life now. He said, I give unto them eternal life and they shall Never Perish and never in the Greek translation means absolutely never. You can have absolutely no true peace or assurance if you don't believe you are saved completely, now,,,and are new creation in Christ Jesus and sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption..And James was not saying you are saved by your works, look what he describes in that chapter. Notice what he says about Abraham and Rahab?? Regarding their faith. 🎶
For people who are in fear, this is for you. The reason you are taking this seriously means you are saved (in progress for growth in the relationship). The act of sin is sin. No one sin is worse than the other Jesus take them from you all the same but they all have different consequences. What will actually cost your salvation is when God had convinced you head on you know is God and he is asking you to make a choice. And you made the choice to harden your heart over and over again. Soon you will not have any reaction to the concept of sin that is when it is all out the window, full on apostasy. A lot of church members has zero spiritual sensitivity or awareness.
2 verses that indicate you can lose your salvation : - psalms 69: 28 "may they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous" (which suggests that names were already written in the book of life, and subsequently blotted out) - john 15:6 "if you do not remain in Me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned" (which suggests that you have to remain in Him (keyword - remain, indicating that you are in Him at one point), otherwise face consequences).
I struggle with willful sin, such as lust. I struggle with it and can't control it, sometimes I want lust. Please pray for me that I strengthen my faith and win the battle of sin.
@@clintbeastwood6149 Heart purity is the answer. God has created us to have natural sexual desires and there is nothing wrong with them, but heart purity and self-control in our thoughts and actions are a must (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). God calls us to love from a pure heart (see 1 Timothy 1:5, James 4:8, Isaiah 1:16-20). That will eliminate lust that makes one look at another person as a sex object which goes beyond merely acknowledging sexual desire or attraction. And that is possible with Jesus, but we need to not only believe it but also agree 100% with Him to go in that direction. What God's grace promises to his servants who live for Him is "life and peace" (Romans 8:6), not a losing battle with natural urges or any uncontrollable habit likely accompanied with impure thoughts that result in sin certainly. You have to be in agreement with God about doing his will (obeying Him) for the rest of your life and you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 6:1-2, Romans 6:11): that is how you will be set free from sin (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18). Then nothing will be your master or an idol for you. You can find answers to any questions you have about your sexuality in your own relationship with God. He will surely point out to you anything that is possibly in the way of closeness to Him, whether that's a wrong action or behavior, or a wrong mindset. So, if you focus on building or deepening your relationship with God, then you will be able to seek and receive his precise guidance on anything. Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:22). It is the truth that will set you free from sin (John 8:31-32, 36).

You need to repent. Humble yourself before God and recognize how you had not 100% rejected evil, which is what led you to sin. That is part of everyone's story (Romans 3:23). But you can reject evil and be redeemed from bondage to sin (Romans 3:24). That is what repentance is about. God will hear your prayers, and forgive you, and heal you (1 Peter 3:10-12, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Isaiah 55:6-7, 2 Corinthians 7:10, James 1:21-22). Read these scriptures to understand God's plan for you and have no doubt about it. Please see the videos in the *_"Be Set Free From Sin"_* section on my channel for help. Take some time to understand well the way you need to approach God. Your obedience to God out of love for God (John 14:15) is the key to your deliverance from any sin that you are bound in (Hebrews 5:9). Peace to you!
I grew up in a church, but my church fell apart and I straight away for several years and recently I got the conviction to turn back to Christ, I’m just asking that you guys help and pray for me to me stay strong in the faith. I just thank God that he stopped me from going on Sinning.. I just had the feeling like he told me “enough”
I’m kinda going through that right now. I grew up in Church, went to the Marines and haven’t been to church in about 9 years. I’m trying to go back but after watching this video I’m confused. So am I now not saved as I thought I was when I was young because I’ve turned to the world for years? So this whole time I thought Jesus was lord of my life growing up I must have been a fake convert like people tend to say. The classic “You weren’t really a Christian if you could do sin like that” angers me greatly and makes me want to say well I tried coming back and yet here we are. I’m struggling quite a bit and so now on top of that I have to hope everyday I leave the house I don’t die because idk if I’m saved and I’ll go to helm forever?? This is what makes me not want to go to church. I thought were saved by the blood of jesus not by how little sin we commit. It’s a full twisted circle, so if I sin(which I thought we all did everyday) in the same sin everyday with something I struggle with then I’m not a true Christian but if I believe in Jesus as my lord and savior I’m saved? This literally makes no sense to me. I literally wake up in fear everyday of my salvation and where I’m going when I die and literally nothing else in my days I’m awake matter to me. I now keep getting massive doubts along with this and I’m completely confused. I have professed with my mouth that Jesus is lord of my life at least 500 times and I pray to God to show me his truth. What else am I supposed to do to get a clear answer here. This is getting ridiculous and I don’t see why I have to be confused and worried everyday of my salvation when I want to be saved and have reassurance that I’m saved. I read the word once maybe 3 times per week. i thought the word doesn’t come back void? I’m extremely confused, you or anyone else in these comments probably don’t care or will be able to help me but that’s where I’m at in this walk of mine and I don’t understand how the church says Jesus saves those who want to he saved but yet I’m here asking and somehow I get the feeling I’m not. Guess I wasted 10 years of my life going to church, youth group, bible camp etc
John Doee yeah I was the same way but thank God he showed me the truth, the reality is us humans can’t understand the concept of Gods love, it’s not too late for you man, God convicted you for a reason, there’s still hope, snapchat me serg168 i can give you some verses that’ll restore your hope in Christ, the sacrifice of Christ was an ultimate sacrifice. It’s sealed period. If you read the rest of romans it constantly goes back to, “but us in christ” once you accept Christ your identity is in him, The devil will make you straight sometimes even for a while it feels like, but God will bring you back
John Doee that’s why God says put on the full armor of God because the devil will do whatever it takes to make you question your salvation. The devil even used information from the Bible to try to make Jesus question himself. I wish I could give you verses rn but Im not in a standstill rn, I’m out and about. John 8:32 the truth will set you free!!!
@@antman656 Please see the videos in my playlist called _Be Set Free From Sin_ for help. It is God's grace that will help you overcome sin and live a new life that is pleasing to Him (Titus 2:11-14). But it starts with repentance first, in the right way that God expects. True Biblical repentance is the missing piece in what most preach as Christian doctrine, preferring to emphasize only faith, but both are necessary (Acts 20:21). Peace to you!
I find that the fact that when one gives in to sin it’s notable that inner call to repent has more to do with genuine sorrow for wounding the relationship with the Lord and the suffering inflicted at the cross than fear of deserved punishment.
Great answer. I am teaching through Hebrews now and have taught the Book about 5 times before. I came to teach the Parable of the Sower along with some of these hard teachings from Hebrews. I believe that the Book of Hebrews is one of the most important books to teach in our time.
that's right... Piper believes in the doctrine of final salvation... which is a works for salvation doctrine... I think John Piper is well-intentioned.... but his Calvinisim teaches that one must prove he is Saved by having enough works
It is almost unbelievable the lengths people will go to try to justify why sin is not a big deal and refusing the breadth of scriptural teaching. If we choose to continue in sin we will die. If we choose to continue to reject where the Spirit leads, we will die. The Holy Spirit leads us but does not control us. Any idea (and there are a lot below) that one may continue in sin or not endure and remain saved is simply not scriptural. Please friends, do not trivialize sin; hate it. When we sin, it should create great alarm in us motivating us to change and turn away as well as seek forgiveness. Listen to the Holy Spirit.
i hear it all the time, you're so right! sadly, churches even teach sin by trampling weekly on the Holy 7th day Sabbath, as opposed to pretending the pagan day of the sun is now Holy. something Scripture soundly refutes!
Will you please pray for me and my struggle with lust.. and some encouragement to have more faith in our Lord Jesus. Going through a fiery trial and I recently lost a job due to the fiery trial I am enduring. Thanks. God bless.
Yes! LORD JESUS, Please help this man to STOP LUSTING! but also let him know that He has to do his part too! It involves just one simple word! REPENT! See:St.Luke.13:3 (Holy-Bible).
The critical point in his restoration is that he "came to his senses" (Luke 15:17) and repented. That got him on the way back to his father and he was received. That parable itself does not say anyone who is the prodigal now has unlimited time to repent. The urgent call to repentance has already been made, so anyone whose heart is still on sinning (struggling with willful sin) must understand they are choosing death over life and must be diligent to repent and start being obedient to God which is expected of believers. Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of eternal *salvation to all those who obey Him* Acts 5:32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him. Acts 17:30-31 30 The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But *now He commands that all people everywhere should repent, 31 because He has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom He has ordained; of which He has given assurance to everyone by raising him from the dead.
I got born again 2 years ago. There is a sin I don’t know how to get rid of. I Repent every day and ask the Lord for a way out. I have had no intensions stopping because I feel stuck here. I feel like a hypocrite and a walk around in fear and so much guilt! I feel I am going to hell. I love Jesus, I just feel so stuck and don’t know how to get out of this mess.
Speak to a trusted brother or sister in Christ. See James 5:16. Sometimes we can break the power of sin, by bringing it into the light, by confessing to another (whom you trust). Seek one who is more mature than you, who can guide you and keep you accountable.
The first reply is very good advice. I also recommend reading through Hebrews chapters 2, 4 and 5, especially the parts about being tempted, and Romans 6. Pray to receive the Holy Spirit, so you get power to suffer in the flesh instead of sinning! Then He will lead you into fellowship with like minded people.
From my own experience I have shared the Gospel of Gods grace for us. But many if not all have reasons for why they won’t accept that. Whether they say it’s just religion or Jesus is just a Good man but not God. For whatever reason I watch many of them reject Christ and go right back to their sinful lives after hearing the Gospel and I think... how else can they saved if they have already rejected salvation. Point being it is my firm belief that this is exactly what the writer of Hebrews was trying to stress. That is Jesus as the sacrifice for sins and to those that reject Him there is no more a sacrifice that will be accepted by God for them (on their behalf). This was definitely not a means to point to a believer loosing salvation but pointed towards those that reject Christ
Thank you John Piper. I am on a journey of truth. Every morning I wake up I am always thinking about God related things. While I do not agree with everything you teach I DO AGREE on the most important and basic truths of the Gospel. I stopped listening to you for a while because of our differences in theological debates BUT I am seeking truth and I know you are my brother in Christ regardless of the “differences!” So,although that is true;why should I,all-together, sign you off and not listen to what The Lord may be saying through you simply because of the minor disagreements about the details and “deep stuff?” I take truth wherever it comes from and I appreciate all you do my brother. Jesus is my Lord!!! My SAVIOR!!! ❤❤❤ Thanks man!
Don't hesitate to cling to Jesus alone for truth, not your thoughts, and not what someone else believes and teaches, but only the word that comes out of Jesus' mouth. That word saves.
Free will. Your choice to turn from sin. If you keep on sinning your wicked. And the wicked do not inherit the kingdom. Quit fitting the Bible for your agenda. Living in sin.
@@steliosmitr8245 I've just noticed that the less I sin, the closer to God I feel (keeping in minds that our feelings are not reliable). However, trying for perfection in not sinning alone leads to anger and greater demoralization when I fail, which leads to even worse things... which is a complete return to "the old man". If I drive the Holy Spirit away I bring destruction upon myself, and God will allow that.
"If you love me you will obey my commandments", this words today hit me because I know i sin willful with full knowledge of christ words and it hurts because I feel HE cannot trust me with his NAME
that is why the Way is Narrow and few there be that find it. It's about obedience after salvation, doing our bit to curb the flesh and turn away from sinful behaviour. He did not make us robots. Salvation is free, but there is a cost and it's called taking up your cross daily. Count the cost before you take up the free offer!
I pray that you would truly love Christ. Notice that the verse says that love of Christ leads to obedience, not knowledge. I would encourage you to see if you truly love Christ. If the knowledge you’re gaining isn’t leading to love of Christ, pray about it. I hope you’re having a good day, if you ever read this! :)
Nothing can threaten one’s salvation, once saved, always saved… now of course there are consequences for our sin, so be ready to receive correction from your Heavenly Father, but He will not kick you out of the family for breaking his law.
That is not biblical. Christ gave us the gift of salvation, but he asks that' you follow God's will. God loves you and is merciful, so if you do sin, it takes you further from God, but you can make a heartfelt confession to come back in union with the Lord.

Very very true!! Mathew 17:21

Great advice!
Every sin is willful.
John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He (GOD) is just and faithful and will forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness"
Yup
I don't believe every sin is willful. I am a born again Christian and about a year ago I accidentally burned my finger badly and I either dropped the s-bomb or f-bomb really loud. I didn't mean to say it, it was more of a reaction LOL. I quickly repented even though my finger hurt really bad
@@trustjesus9881 every sin is willful, people don't sin accidentally.
I agree, i think the problem is living in sin
Help me get through this battle and come out victorious on the other side. You are Holy and pure and I give my whole life to You. Amen
God's grace will help you overcome sin and live a new life that is pleasing to Him (Titus 2:11-14). But it starts with repentance first, in the way that the Bible teaches it. Please see the videos in my playlist called _"Be Set Free From Sin"_ for help. Take some time to understand well the way you need to approach God. Your obedience to God is the key to your deliverance from any sin that you are bound in.
Peace to you!
@@yestothetruth help i just lost my 5 day streak what should i do? I feel absolute terrible and i want be set free from this sin. Sometime i feel like god doesnt even wanna hear my prayer but i know that deep in my heart god is willing to hear my prayer. Plz help me
@@liaujingcheng8937 It's not about your performance to have so long a streak, but it's about your commitment to God.

Hello. Our salvation is not based on stopping sin, but on the sacrifice of Jesus on our behalf.
Hope that helps. :)

I love you Father. I am so unworthy.
Let us not call ourselves worthy but uplift each other in saying "yes, you are brother/sister!" the way God has loved us, let us love each other.
I'm sorry sir, why don't you take it to prayer instead of commenting on a TH-cam video?
Saying you're unworthy is false humility you have worth your worth the blood of God's son realize who you are in Christ the son

Love this humility vs pride ... This is humility ... I am also unworthy thank you God for your grace ...this is how his glory is shining bright

I'm glad that God put these frightening verses throughout the Bible. It's a cold hard slap of reality, reminding us not to trifle with Him. I think I'm getting to know the truth thesedays after living as a sinful lukewarm and started to read the Bible. I'm afraid that I'm still having remaining thought process and sinning habit after know the gospel. I commited a sin ( not sex but indulgence) willingly first(I think) time after my repentance and changing my mind. It was yesterday.
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:1-14, 22, 24-26
“For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.”
Romans 4:3-9
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:4-9
“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”
Romans 4:19-25
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION: in whom also after that ye believed, YE WERE SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
Ephesians 1:13-14
“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby YE ARE SEALED unto the day of redemption.”
what is the gospel?:
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
It’s great to pray for help to turn from sin and to be lead by the Holy Spirit our of your love for Jesus, however it’s important to know you are not saved that way. :) 💗
I’ve done terrible things in the past, and even though I am a Christian, I still am occasionally plagued by memories of sins. It hurts more than words could ever tell, and habitual sin is one thing I feel that I am always fighting. 😖😣

So there's been serious fissures within your systematic for a while
When I Sin Its DEFINITELY begrudgingly i always , always feel filthy and like i stumbled and super convicted and turn to the cross for my bad habits
Same. Trust in the heart of the Lord himself, which is mercy.

If we can hear Jesus and abide in Him and understand the consequences of not abiding in Him, then we have all the understanding we need:
_John 15:4-6_
_4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, they are thrown into the fire, and they are burned._
God be praised that you returned to Him, bro!
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
perish = not get saved
It's critical that you understand repentance like the Bible teaches it and that you repent and commit to stay obedient to God out of love. That's a path you will walk on. If you leave that path, then there is no "Once Saved Always Saved" either. You have to remain faithful to God to the end.
Colossians 1:21-23
21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now✷ reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 👉 IF indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven...
✷ now means no longer being alienated and hostile in mind toward God and continuing to do evil deeds / sin.
I sinned willing when I became a believer and always thought I was unsaved. Thank you because I didn’t keep on sinning but confessed my sin to the Lord and was forgiven
it is not automatic that the presence of doubt indicates a lack of salvation, or that the absence of doubt attests to salvation.

Salvation is conditional and can be lost as scriptures prove: tinyurl.com/yc3kmupg
That is essential:
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
Hebrews 5:9
And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].*
Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22).
Amen

Everyone who abides in Him does not sin; everyone who sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. - 1 John 3:6
If you continue to sin and don't repent, which means change your way of thinking and actively changing your behaviour, then you never really new the LORD and how can you believe in him and be saved if you don't even know him?
Not everyone that calls me LORD, LORD will enter into the kingdom of heaven, only those that DO the will of my father. - Matthew 7:21
You have to actually obey JESUS not only with your mind but with your actions if you believe in him and are saved, otherwise you didn't really know him in the first place and are not saved.

So we were born into sin and now must rebel against that otherwise we are lost. So we get to enjoy a constant battle with ourselves, oh what fun!
Fight the Good fight!! Endure and not faint
It will be worth it!!
Remember the Prodigal Son.
+Lydia Roselli A son who was dead
@Lydia Roselli You may have missed the point , He WAS dead but he came back vs he was dead and did not come back to his father.
If we read the story the son didn't even come back to the Father but was WILLING to and the Father seen him from far off and RAN to him. The son was only thinking about his stomach but the Father loved him SO much that he ran and met him before he even got close. In confessing a sin, God expects us to also repent of it. He will not be mocked. Salvation is conditional and can be lost as scriptures prove: tinyurl.com/yc3kmupg
I thank God for this ministry. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and use his servants abundantly.
I too struggle with sexual willful sin that is persistent and I don't want to be far from Christ so please pray for me and I need stronger faith in Christ and to not rely on my feelings.
You need to repent. God wants you to make a choice to stop sinning and He will help you by his grace to not sin anymore (John 8:11, Romans 6:14 , 1 John 3:6).

Don't worry too much because it is Gods job to take away the sin you will never be able to do it how hard you try. When you feel guilty because you do it and you didn't want to The guilt comes from Satan not God.
You cannot beat sin only god can it is his responsibility. Otherwise the cross was a complete waste of time
He will take it away at the right time he has appointed.
We cannot lose our salvation. We are saved by christ alone not turning from sin.
This is what I needed. I was genuinely deceived by the enemy today, after reading Hebrews 10. Thank you, pastor John.
2 verses that indicate you can lose your salvation :
- psalms 69: 28
"may they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous" (which suggests that names were already written in the book of life, and subsequently blotted out)
- john 15:6
"if you do not remain in Me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned" (which suggests that you have to remain in Him (keyword - remain, indicating that you are in Him at one point), otherwise face consequences).
Didn't realize "nutter" is a word, lol.
Usefulness for service... And before others. Has nothing to do with losing salvation.
I struggle with willful sin, such as lust.

@@guilhermedelcampo4832, I haven't been very active in my sin lately. I have fallen once in awhile, but not often. It is much better now.
Brother i struggle very much in lust, not physically anymore but mindfully and keep working on it. Lust is deep rooted everywhere we turn be vigilant.

When I pray I feel at times I'm just hitting a wall, like my prayers aren't being heard and they aren't getting answered.

John Doee i’ve been searching and searching and even paid to God for answers and I’m so grateful God is very loving he’s very merciful.

Willful sin isn't messing up and wanting to get better.. It's continual sin that you justify and won't repent of and even justify by I'm under grace.
If WE ALL STRUGGLED WITH WILLFUL SIN then the Bible would not differintiate between sin and willful sin...
Those who continue(in faith, repentance and obedience) TILL THE END will be saved. (Matt. 24:13)

do you know the gospel?
The Bible says it's better to marry than burn. With lust get married that's Paul's instruction
Yes! LORD JESUS, Please help this man to STOP LUSTING! but also let him know that He has to do his part too! It involves just one simple word! REPENT! See:St.Luke.13:3 (Holy-Bible).
The parable of the prodigal son comes to mind for all those struggling, he never stopped being a son
Hebrews 5:9
And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of eternal *salvation to all those who obey Him*
Acts 5:32
And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.
Acts 17:30-31
30 The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But *now He commands that all people everywhere should repent, 31 because He has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom He has ordained; of which He has given assurance to everyone by raising him from the dead.
Thank you sir for giving us answers for the difficult scriptures.
Pray that GOD WILL take it from you
The first reply is very good advice. I also recommend reading through Hebrews chapters 2, 4 and 5, especially the parts about being tempted, and Romans 6. Pray to receive the Holy Spirit, so you get power to suffer in the flesh instead of sinning! Then He will lead you into fellowship with like minded people.
Make sure you approach God the way He expects you to with the right mindset.
You must submit to God. That is essential:
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
The word of God is fuel for your faith. To live as a follower of Jesus you must go out of your way to put the word of God in your heart and keep it there, rejecting all distractions. It's a fight and that's how you need to stand to not fall down. The truth will set you free from all sin (John 8:31-32, 36).
I'll be honest I thought this said "Singing" and I said I got to hear what Piper is saying about this lol. Glad I listened though what a blessing
You can't lose your salvation, as it's a free gift.

@@sidasida4299 Actually, it's talking about Babylon. BTW, you do know that the Bible came from the Catholic Church, right?
@@lisapriola7927 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
@@lisapriola7927 well here’s the thing, sin comes naturally, we all sin and we can’t get rid of our sinful nature, but I agree we should repent and try to live by God’s laws, the point I was trying to make is that keeping the law won’t save you nor keep you saved.
Greatly encouraged. God bless you Pastor John.
When I back slid I lost the fruit of the holy spirt but I gained it all back threw repentance
Confession is a powerful thing, and makes you feel like a great weight has been lifted off yourself. I would talk to a local priest about the sacrament of confession. You may hear things that really interest you.
Just don’t do it, we should seek holiness!! Sin opens doors for the enemy to attack. And the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. There are definitely spiritual ramifications to sin! I am living it now! Pursue righteousness and holiness ❤️! Gods commands are there to protect us
You'll find it in (St.John.10:10) Holy-Bible
Let me be living proof that Christ can save the sick ,unhealthy, dishonest, twisted ,horribly perverse and desperately wicked. He didn't come into this world to save good people.
It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Pastor John...You, my friend have explained HEBREWS.6 & 10 the chapters quite well! I have been a Believer and a student of God's word for around maybe 50 yrs.! I began studying the Bible when I was maybe 11 yrs. Old. I struggled with these verses for quite sometime, but after so long I understood ! Thank God for Bible Teachers like you! Of course, there's no better teacher than GOD'S HOLY-SPIRIT...See: St.John.14:16-17; 16:12-15 Holy BIBLE-KJV.
