    I am the poster child of walking away and believing I lost my salvation. I can tell you I never lost it because God showed up Sept 25th 2011 and told me He loved me. It was a miserable bunch of years believing I could not be with God.

    An example of this case is Ravi Zacharias. I find comfort in this passage because so many so call pastors and leaders are so corrupt. I wouldn’t want to see them in heaven. I understand if people are manipulated and didn’t know better but these people know God, study His words, teach His words, but purposely lead others to sin. They use God’s words to glorify themselves. Romans chapter 11 talks about branches being cut off or graphed in. This talks of God’s kindness and severity. This ties in with “Lord Lord didn’t I do this and that in your name?” And God with say, “Get away, I never knew you.” Don’t mess with God.

    Though I appreciated the understanding of his intent in the letter of Hebrews, there are several verses that make it clear. Slaves don’t have a choice, and we are slaves of righteousness. And no man can separate us from the love of God.
    However, I was really uncomfortable when you told us to not focus on the fruits of others. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 explicitly commands us to judge fellow Christians by their fruits. We are to go to our brothers and sisters and lovingly lead them to repentence.

    Something abt the phrase, 'losing salvation.' "He who finds life will LOSE it," said Jesus.

    Being enlightened is different from really KNOWING, that is the difference between being saved or not.

    • @buckyb7658
      @buckyb7658 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Romans 11 say, “So do not become proud, but fear.” Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. There are two fears. Fear of God leads to life. Spirit of fear is not of God, for God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and discipline. 2Timothy 1.7 The second fear is a disabling fear, not of God.

    My question is, if you're born again, can you become not born again?

    • @Triggerhawk
      @Triggerhawk ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Probably a better way of putting it is if you're born again and turn away and make yourself filthy again, you can not get reborn again. Mind you this is an extreme case of actively rejecting Christ, not simply talking about backsliding and repenting etc. That's how I would naturally think about answering that question

    Someone please respond to my comment❤ I struggle with OCD (not about being tidy), OCD is doing repetitive motions connected with thoughts, to give some sort of comfort driven my anxiety. It started when I was a little girl. Anyway, I won’t spend time going into it other than to say it is a form of superstition that then results in habits. My point is…I am a Christian yet have this guilt of this OCD that I battle with. 🙏🏽

      humbly ask Jesus to heal your mind. He can heal & deliver - He has done Miracles for me.
      Also read: Isai 6^10; Jer 3^22; compare Jer 17^9 with Ezek 36^26.

    You are denying what Christ has told us time and time and time again. Salvation is eternal.
    And Jesus will never forsake us. Even if we left faith.

    • @Triggerhawk
      @Triggerhawk ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Salvation is eternal, ie it goes for eternity. We still need to finish the race and keep the faith though, as Paul said. There are multitudes of scriptures that warn us against being sloppy with the faith. Not to say it is so easily lost, but it can be.
      If you're interested I can provide you with probably about 20 clear passages that state this. If you've got your mind made up and don't want to know, I won't bother. If you would like to put up some passages to explain your view and have me answer them, I can. But what this man has said is very healthy and sobering.
      Remember, God is in eternity. He knows who are His, He knows who will remain faithful to Him and who will leave, we don't have that insight, therefore to assume once saved always saved and go on to teach it as a human perspective I believe is in error and unwise

      God cant force you to be with him so you yourself can deny the faith even after being saved but no one can take it from yourself only you can decidce that

    Taste means a temporary thing. Jesus tasted death, and he did die, but it was temporary. For this guys use of the verse to be valid, jesus must still be dead.
