Edit: As TayTheDay pointed out in the comments, if anyone is having trouble joining the bot, you don't add the bot as a friend, you use the in-game text chat with "/join {bungiename}"

You still can get to the chest even if you die to the loading zone, I just did it today it but I'm using well skate.

You mean the buffs and launchers still worked? Interesting, when it wiped me the mechanics didn't work. Could be a case of it sometimes doesn't work and sometimes does. Least you was able to get the chest :)

I have not done the Raid. Can I get weapons in this chest?
Sadly no, you can only get items youve gotten in the raid before. But you still can get spoils.

You lost me at 2 minutes, I stayed till 4 minutes and I still have the same question: WTF is taking so long??? Is the prize really worth it?
Some people don't have the time to do 3 RON raids every week, and for those people, just taking 15-20 minutes to grab the chest is worth it. It also has the chance at a red border, so in some cases can be definitely worth it.
I get that some players may not see it as worth it, or don't need it. But for others it's really useful.

In case you are still having trouble, you don't add the bot, you just join using the in-game text chat with '/join' and their bungie name.
