this was so adorable! Every few minutes you'd see another child! And mom with one on the way. made me happy just seeing the family you have. you don't know how lucky you are. Great little brooder. we are making one in our shed as I write. ours in on the ground, 12' x 3.5'. We have duck coming next week.
Thank you so much! They are a huge blessing for sure. That is a nice sized brooder you’re building, you can fit a lot of birds in there. What kind of ducks are you raising?
I know this is a year old . I was given a chicken house form like tractor supply carries. It had a rotten top so I made it a A roof. Then the part that was for the laying box slash roost , I put a wood floor . Then I took a piece of linoleum and cut to fit the floor . Put my wood shavings in . Now when I need to clean it out I just gather the chicks and pick up the flooring dump it off wash it let it dry some and return it . Made cleaning out so much easier. Great brooder you built. Be nice to have helpers like you got . Beautiful family .
Absolutely beautiful work! We just ordered 50 broilers (new to chickens over here). But this looks like a perfect set-up. I'll be copying you step by step! Thanks for the great video.
That's awesome. I need to make one of them. I've been using the big dog kennel cages for years, and they work, but I always have problems getting to the chick's if one needs cleaned or something..
Hi, great build! How many chicks do you think will fit in there? How long can you keep them in there? We have 40 chicks coming soon so we need to build a more permanent brooder like yours!
Awesome!! Thank you so much and great looking brooder. I’ve been trying to find a brooder build that would be strong enough for my needs and happen to come across yours and was like THATS IT!!
Nice build but man you built this like you were building a house, it just has to hold some babies, not baby elephants! Love seeing your kids get involved and yeah they would probably sleep in the barn. I know I would have at their age.
Hahaha I have a tendency to overbuild stuff. Here in northern Florida we have strict hurricane codes for home builders so I have that mentality. I don’t have to worry about coons or possums getting in that’s for sure. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for making such a great build, simple and strong not only, but wow you make it too easy to follow along! Ur a good teacher!!

Thank you! The linoleum is a good idea, I may have to incorporate that!

Thanks! It will hold 40 no problem, we have 35. I would say we could comfortably fit 70 chicks without an issue.
Great job.
nice brooder there. If you are receiving 100 chicks what dimensions would you use.
Any chance you have the supplies and measurements written out? I’d love to make this brooder.
What angle cuts did you make for the top of the legs?
How do you clean it?
I have less reinforcement on my mobile turkey tractor 😅😂🤣
How much did this build cost you?
It can double as the kid's playhouse
Can you please give the angle cuts on the legs.
Thanks.
Only thing I kept thinking is are they all yours and one on the way. 😅
Just for the record they’re not cheaper by the dozen. 😜
@@MaynardFamilyHomestead great movie. 🍿
Good build, thanks I like the way they all chipped in on the build. I am going to start today on mine .bsm
Were those all 2x4s?
If I remember correctly yes!
What angles did you do your sides? I’m going off your build but having a hard time with my angles
@@greens1087 it’s a 30° angle

@@greens1087you’re welcome, thanks for watching and supporting our channel!
Always measure once… cut twice 😅😂
That’s my motto! We do it nice because we do it twice. 😜
i measure once and cut many timrs..
