Made this drink tonight for the superbowl. It was fantastic. Was a hit. Mint syrup was key. Earned a like and a subscribe with this drink. Look forward to trying your other ones.
❤️ love it! Thank you for such a great comment! It is a pleasure to heard it! We will keep working to bring quality and tasty cocktails for you and your loved ones. Salud hermano. 🤙🏼
@Hey Bartender! 1 year later just made this cocktail for superbowl again. Hands down one of my top 5 favorite cocktails. Sooo good. Going to try you blood orange seranno margaritas in near future.
@@HeyBartender I love smashes! I add club soda to them in the summer when its really hot. When it's super hot you can get dehydrated, and you tend to drink your cocktails too fast. Also, when your making a botanical syrup bring your water to a boil, toss in your herbs, take it off of the heat, and let it steep for thirty minutes to an hour, remove the greenery, and put the infused water back on the heat, but don't boil it, then add sugar. Putting sugar on herbs gets really messy.
And for comments like this one I and Production feel very motivated to keep going with these videos! Thank for the comment, it means a lot to us! Cheers!
Thank you sooo much! I was looking for cocktail recipes with bourbon to prep to my hubby and I found this which fit perfect! Plus I’m a barber and hairstylist… it was a coincidence 😊👍🏻
You’ll be surprised! This is a perfect introduction to bourbon. Refreshing, crispy, citrusy but with lots of character. Hope you give it a chance, let us know what you think of it. Cheers!
I don't know that I've ever subscribed to a channel just off the first video. This was a great video and your energy is awesome! Definitely gonna give this a try soon.

Hey Bartender. This is on the list for this weekend. Is it made with lemon or lime juice? The video says Lime but the description says Lemon. I want to do it right so I appreciate the guidance! Thanks,
Video recipe says lime juice. Text recipe below says lemon juice. Don't know about the lemon, but lime works well, even with simple syrup without mint.
Hello, that can be a solution but the result will be different, try to get cherry pure at the store or on line. They are some really good option, worst case scenario use maraschino cherries. Cheers!
I love this drink, but one thing that threw me off is the lemon and lime usage. In the description it says to use lemons, but in the video you use limes. Then at the end of the video you say use a lime for a garnish, yet refer to it as a lemon wedge. Lemons and limes are very different my friend. However, like i said great video and i made these at a party last night and everyone loved them.
And I offer my apologies for my bilingual brain that till now days still confuses the lemon with lime and lime with lemon(in Spanish it’s backwards) working on it! Thanks for watching.
@@HeyBartender No problem. People forget how difficult it really is to be able to speak two different languages. You do it well. Thanks for the awesome drink. It’s in my rotation for sure.

And another thing😀 Your presentation is masterful, Truly a skilled pro!
Looks good. The soda is something ive never seen before in a smash, but it looks like a very good addition. I'm going to have to make it this way now.
I agree with you, however, the soda adds texture and a bit of fizzy to the cocktail, making more refreshing and easy to drink. 😁 trust me on this one

Hey Bartender! These look so delicious! I'm going to share with my Facebook friends right now.
Thank you for the support, cheers!!
This is one of my new favorites Carole!
Does it change the drink at all if you muddle the cherries as a first step?
Not at all. Thanks for watching!
I was thinking the same thing. Muddle first would be easier. I'll make this one soon
@@HeyBartender could you also just use simple syrup and toss in the mint leaves when you muddle?
@@markpetrak3282 yes, but not the same.

In the video you mention lime juice but in the description it says lemon juice. Can you clarify which one you actually use? Thank you. 👍
Lemon!! Yellow lemon juice. My apologies for my bilingual brain that still confuses lime with lemon. Thank you for watching! 👍🏼 salud!
Can you use demerera to make the mint syrup or will it mess up the cocktail?
Good question, stick to the mint and white sugar, you’re looking for a vibrant clean flavor that blends with the mint. Hope this helps. Salud!
Delicious
Thank you 😋
Hey Bartender. This is on the list for this weekend. Is it made with lemon or lime juice? The video says Lime but the description says Lemon. I want to do it right so I appreciate the guidance! Thanks,
Hello there, yes, sometimes I cross the words, my apologies, it’s lemon juice. 🍋 😀 sorry for the confusion
@@HeyBartender thanks for the quick response! A good bartender doesn’t let his client get thirsty! Cheers!
What kind of cherries? Fresh or canned? Sweet or sour?
Good question, fresh cherries, use the dark red ones, usually are very sweet and add a great rubi red color to your cocktail. Enjoy! Salud!
I would top this with Cherry 7-Up.
Sure! It will bring some texture and a refreshing flavor. Enjoy it! 🤙🏼
I’m a barber💈 and I’d love to try that drink! But not before giving a cut.😉

What if I don't have fresh cherries or non at store? Can I use cherry bourbon instead?

@@HeyBartender or frozen dark red cherries? That what I had so I tried it and it was delicious!
@@crystl___ isn’t. 😉
On your next trip to Tijuana, go to RepublicRibs and try the cocktails made by El Barbon, he follows you !!
Hold mi cocktail…. I’ll be there tomorrow!!
(Should I be worried) 😉
This looks tasty. What kind of cherries do you use?
Marco Cortez plain red cherries, don’t worrie a about the seeds, in the muddle and straining you catch everything.
Salud!
Artisan ice would look much better. Great recipe!
Working on my clear ice Sam! Promise I will nail it.
Looks fantastic, but you had me at bourbon
😋
Glad to heard that, enjoy! 🤙🏼
your recipe calls for lemon juice however your video states lime juice which is it ?
Lemon!
@@HeyBartender
Can you use 100% cherry juice
Yes!! Go for 1 oz.
👍
Not bad idk I might have missed a step maybe the bourbon I used🤷🏻♂️
Use buffalo trace. Balanced, affordable, and consistent. Bullet, makers mark, good substitute
Don’t use premium product, drink that neat.
Cheers
In the 'how to make it' section in your description, you said lime juice.... and don't mention the cherries at all
Typo fixed, regarding my brain confusion between lime and lemon it’s another thing. But I’m working on it.
Thanks for helping and watching Tah.
Just fyi U said lime in the vid not lemon (but lemon is in the recipe details that come w ur vid)
Yes! 😞 I’m sorry to said that I get confused a lot in my bilingual brain with lime and lemon, my apologies. Thanks for the comment.
Float creme de cocoa for a “Cherry Mash” = cherry mash candy

That cloudy refrigerator ice ruins it.

you forgot a cherry !! lol lol
Did I? 😮.
He’s saying mash… not smash.
The accent Welks, sorry!
smash NOT mash. Doh!
Nice drink but the garnish is a little gay.
Lol! We can change the garnish if you want Stephen. Cheers compadre🤙🏼
You look like the guy who mows lawns.
Not a fan of mint, would this cocktail still be good without the mint? Or maybe substituted with another ingredient?
Not a problem. Try with Demerara syrup or maybe a 1 to 1 ratio of agave nectar and water. Let me know what you think. Salud🤙🏼
