Thanks for your time with these videos. I can play some of your songs here at a beginner ish level. But always looking to improve on the basics and make playing like second nature like you do. Thanks again 👍🎸
Hey Andy I've been playing guitar now since 2021 and I want to say thank you for you're guidance and lesson when I started. I really like your album easily "Cliche Teenage Romance"
Thanks, I appreciate that! I enjoyed making that album. It's on Spotify here for anyone else that wants to listen 🙏 open.spotify.com/artist/7FWE876wg9c3jwOJ9vfSrx?si=G0ctnE_YRoKRZksbI7R1vA
Thanks andy for the advice and help. You and Lauren Bateman are my top two teachers.i literally knew nothing last year in guitar and now i can play quite a lot and its bc of you two. So thanks again my man.
I forgot the Harmonica is required in "Love Me Do" by The Beatles as well as I remembered "All Summer Long" has the same chord progression as "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Werewolves of London". Thanks Andy!
Hey Andy, been a huge fan for many years bro, would love it if you could take the time to read this one, I’m a 21 year old from Queensland Australia, I’ve been battling an ongoing eye condition stemming from a skin disease I got when I was 8, it had left me in a coma for some time and it’s left me going blind, as of November last year that’s when my eyes got worse, i ended up homeless for some time there, at an attempt to get big enough to maybe go overseas and get my eyes treated by a world class specialist I’ve started a TH-cam and TikTok channel teaching guitar I know you have a huge audience and would appreciate it to the moon if you could help us out, if not even just some advice to help me improve I’d appreciate it so much man and keep it up!
Just started following you in TikTok, cool channel! You're the guy with the sunglasses I presume? For now, just keep at it. You've uploaded 7 videos. Here's a goal for you: improve one small thing every 7 uploads. By the time you get to 100 uploads, your channel will start to pop. Then you just keep on keeping on. Best of luck with it dude!😎🎸
@@andycrowley thank you heaps legend, yes I got the sunnies on cause I’m missing the top layer of my eyes which, causes a lot of issues but one of them being I’m very photophobic, (super light sensitive) but I appreciate it to the moon bro, I ever get big enough I will return this favour!!
I see Andy that you changed your room around and painted that blue it looks very nice and you also look very nice and you're blue shirt in your blue room thanks for the video keep care❤🤗
Much appreciated! It's the same colour grey wall, but with lights now. I'll change the colour but have blue for beginners and orange for intermediate to line up with my courses on my website. Glad you think it looks better! It's a MUCH nicer space to work in now, I had a BIG Spring declutter
I love this question. There are many ways to hold a pick. If you find one way to hold it you like the best, you should be able to hold the same way for which ever style you are playing. I tend to hold the pick between my thumb and tip of my index finger ( actually the side of the index tip ) It would look like you are holding up an OK with your hand. Hold the fat part of the pick so you have loads of mobility. I strum, solo and PM with this technique. Hope this helps. Obviously, this is only one way, I hope you find the technique you like most! Happy Playing!
Would love to have a full tutorial for Without Question by Elton John. 😊 Hope you can find the time to give it a go. Your my go to guy for online tutorials and no one else seems to have one anyway. 😂
Please Andy, do some White Buffalo song tutorials, he has plenty great songs and he's underated, i cant find tutorials on his songs, especially beginner friendly ones, here are some song suggestions : - Oh darling what have i done - The Matador - The whistler - come join the murder
The Brunswick is my signature beginner course guitar, which we sell exclusively from my shop here shop.andyguitar.co.uk/products/andys-signature-acoustic-guitar-brunswick-agf200 So for beginner videos, I like to use this guitar to help promote it. For intermediate/ advanced videos, I use my faith 👌
LAZY SONGS would be More fresh using BARE CHORDS... You should have teach us using " BARE CHORDS " instead of OPEN CHORDS. ( I heard it somewhere on TH-cam ... BEST THING about it is it was A EASY and SIMPLE BARE CHORDS ). 😊😊😊
I'll explain this better in my video coming out next Monday, super in depth with song examples. For now: a musical key is a family of notes and chords that compliment each other well. E.g. most of these songs are in the key of G, and use the chords G, C and D, which go together well, right? Other chords you can add to that are Em and Am, like in Live Forever by Oasis. More next Monday 👌
You are moving up 4 half step tones = G - G# (1) - A (2) - A# (3) - B (4). The capo is great for guitar because you can change keys without having to learn a bunch of new chords. And you can adjust quickly with a vocalist if the sound is too low or too high for them. Happy Playing!

Great video. I love how many different bands and styles you can play with the same chords!! Thanks Andy!

Another great video thanks so much
I love your guitar lessons!! Is it hard to hold the barre?
Great lessons! Thanks! :)
Great video Andy 👍
When strumming, do hold the pick the same way as you would for a solo or PM?

Wow amazing great video

Joker by The Steve Miller Band and Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison are also played mostly using G,C and D
True! Those are also GREAT song choices for anyone to learn 👌

California Stars by Wilco?
I really want to know how to play a g and c of holding the 1st and 2nd string
When you put the CAPO on the 4th fret you said puts it a "different" key. What key I'm curious??? Anybody please.

Songs in the shape of G major go to B major with CAPO on the 4th fret
@@gasmosI really did appreciate the simple and to the point of my question answer. Thank you. 😊
