    It's so fun to learn just how many songs you can pick up with a few simple chords. Sure, you might not be playing EXACTLY what's on the original record but the overall sound is there. It's stuff like this that encourages people to keep playing and learn more.

    I’m new to guitar, teaching myself, so I can’t tell you how much I appreciate how succinct and straightforward your teaching is. It was also nice that you included your wife who is learning as well, brings some realness and hope to the task. I loved your tutorial, and will be following from now on for sure.

      What the fuck is succinct?

    • @EddyJames
      @EddyJames 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@enobekuJ a fucking word. google is helpful if you never got past grade 8. But if you werent embarrassed to ask, I dont imagine you look things up anyway, sooooo ya its a word. Who comments on adult pages and doesnt know what succinct is? Today I discovered succinct is a word that is a great guage for revealing ones basic literacy, and in turn, the value of their comment. :) Just messing with ya. Look it up. Then use it. Instead of rippin on a comment intended to praise good work. Trollllllleeeeooooeeeeooooooo. GFY.

    Now THAT is brilliant. I have always been disappointed that most music tutorials just show the chords, but do not put the percent sign in so I can follow how many times a chord has to be played. I'm in the geriatric set, in my 70's, and I have been learning a CBG tuned to G, which means I can follow a lot of songs played with your guitar, but I don't know the words for songs, I can't do three things at the same time, i.e, read, watch my fingers, and follow the words. You are now understanding how I feel when I watch other tutorials. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for showing how many chords to play. For a while I was seeing a teacher, on 6 string guitar, he could try and break it down to my 3 strings, and he wrote the music up for me with that percentage sign, it was so easy to follow the chord progression.

    I really struggle with changing chords during an existing strumming pattern. When you dropped in the down down part on the Em. It sounds silly but that has helped my brain understand it so much better and make it so simple. thank you. I strummed along to every song.

    You can play "Disarm" from The Smashing Pumpkins with those 4 chords as well.
    To make it sound more like the original you can place your ring finger and pinkie on the B and e string in the third fret and leave them there, except for the D chord, that plays normal.

    Christina, I love your T-shirt. I bought the vinyl almost the day the album was released.

    Nice approach, but somehow everything sounds similar. A great thing to have around the campfire and with friends! Music sounds different because it is composed in different keys. All in all, still good tips for beginners 🙂

      he does give the I IV V vi directions on quite a few, so you can change it up and down (or capo it). But great for campfires as is.

    Well, I recognized two songs, Stand by Me and Brown Eyed Girl, the rest I have never heard. Most of what I play is n50’sn and 60’s, Country Roads, Doors, Animals, etc. But they are also more complicated..
