Love your music❤, love even more the description underneath. Though I have unfortunately correct that Katja saarihao died in June/juli of last year. Very sad and unexpected news for all. Also if I can suggest another brilliant female composer that was a victim of mysogeny is Germaine Taillefeire. A brilliant Composer that wrote in many styles: for example she showed to have a passion for old music when writing her Piano concerto, but also a keen into Impressionism (even more pungent than ravel in some spots) for example in her „Ballade“. Unfortunately she didn’t wrote much cause her spirit was beaten down by mysogenist in wich also 2 of her husbands. But yeah I suggest a listen to these 2 works for piano and orchestra cause they are brilliant. Continue the hard work❤❤❤
That is indeed unfortunate. I recall a prestigious newspaper dubbing her "the single greatest composer alive today". I should have checked more up-to-date biographical notes. Requiescat in pace sitque ei terra levis. I will also add Germaine Tailleferre to the list. Even if thus far I look more fondly on Honegger's work out of his affinity for counterpoint within the Groupe des Six, I really need to check out more of Tailleferre's music. It's almost embarrassing that I would miss her in this relatively broad recolection. Unfortunately, this will probably happen again, since I bet there are way more exhaustive papers on the subject than what a mere video description could encompass. Still, as I find more biographies, I will keep extending the list. Thank you for the information and your kind words.
omg man amazing piece like and sub love it. EDIT: Reminds me of Forster, th-cam.com/video/H-MHDuayxn0/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared. I was looking for something as furious as this one and here you are!
I am a little confused. You are undoubtedly a female composer, but can you identify yourself? You composed these fugues. Correct? I thought I was listening to Bach. Maybe it would be a good idea if you appended your name. Fugax Contrapunctus by whom?
I am, in fact, not female. I merely decided to pay homage to International Women's Day as it coincided with promising developments for this fugal setting and due to my sympathy and support for the feminist cause. My real name is clearly stated in the first line of my channel description. Even if my main inspiration is evidently J. S. Bach, to whose magnificent music and soul I hold as much reverence as I can, this fugue, as well as all other compositions in this channel, are of my own production. With dismay I once again have to remind that my humble pieces merely follow the steps and example of Master Sebastian: they do not aim to surpass his gargantuan legacy, nor even to come remotely close to it, for that, I'm afraid, I consider impossible. For me to even try to pass this off as equal to Bach's own art would be of unforgivable arrogance, besides simply not true.
Absolutely fantastic message in the description honouring many incredible female composers 🧡
Some places in a pedal are very difficult and not logical (for pedal). But it is nice fugue!
wow. very talented you are! a gift from God for sure. make sure to use it well!
You are a good student of J. S. Bach. The only thing missing is a _rallento_ at the end.
Subscribed.
If only that were the only thing missing...
Thank you kindly for your support.
