Even had the pleasure of playing in a master class for Mr Micheli. He told me I was asking too much of the guitar, which was the most fitting advice I had received.
It seems Castelnuovo-Tedesco was thinking of Grieg when he wrote the prelude. The similarity to his op. 54 no. 3 is striking, and can't be mere coincidence.
