  • We don't wild camp very often but we do LOVE IT! This is our third wild camping trip and definitely the best one so far and largely .... by chance.

Hi, can you remember how long the walk was?

Hi James, it was a few hours from the car, but Jo and I were quite unfit at the time so somebody in shape could do it probably in under two hours if they wanted to. It's beautiful around there though so it's nice if you can take your time.

    Hi guys, great video
What map have you been using ?

    • @DJAAdventures

Hey, it was just the OS map for that area but to be honest we stuck to the path most of the time and even without a map we wouldn't have gotten lost. A lot of the areas off the main path were too overgrown to get through anyway. Always a good idea to have a map with you though, the OS map mobile app is pretty good too.

Hi I was wondering if you could help me, is this a permit area where you camped.

Hi Karl! Not particularly, it just happens to be quite close to a bothy. Scotland is very easy going when it comes to wild camping with their right to roam.

It's been a while since that trip, so unfortunately I can't remember the exact location to be honest. I do remember there being a hotel very close by with its own car park, a waterfall close to that hotel and those were pretty much opposite what I think was a hydro power station on the other side of the Loch. Sorry I haven't got the exact place, but hopefully that will be enough for you to find it on Google Maps:)
