It has been on my bucket list ever since I started kayaking to explore Loch Lomond wild camping on the Islands. It truly is a mystical place with amazing views and dramatic weather.
The following video is a compilation of my video footage over the 5 days. I didn't have much luck on the fishing front due to the long distance paddling each day but I'll have to go back.

Did a 10 day camping trip in a 18ft Aluminium Grumman canoe with friends in the 1980s on Lomond. Way before these brilliant sit on kayak’s were around. Culminated in a 5 day stay wild camping in Ardluie bay, right at the top of the loch, catching large Pike for sport and trout for the pan... Magical place.
Can't beat a bit of camping on the islands of Loch Lomond. Wish I'd known you were up, I live just up the road from where you were playing. Used to live in Gosport and fish gilkicker... would have been cool to come say hi 👋

Barry Lang There’s a few places around Loch Lomond where you can launch your kayak and stay in your Motorhome. Balloch is a good place.

paul davies All the Islands except one or two are free to wild camp on as long as you follow the country code and clean up after yourself. No booking
