- The best spot to go wild camping at Loch Lomond? Me & Cassie did some hiking/backpacking to Conic Hill, Balmaha and it was a very scenic wild camp :) With strong winds! very windy. Scotland just never fails to deliver :)

Is this the best spot for wild camping at Loch Lomond? A scenic wild camp on a hill.
It was a gorgeous, warm day and I started off at Drymen after meeting up with Cassie and I walked the West Highland Way to Conic Hill. A gorgeous stroll, we finally reached the summit of Conic Hill near Balmaha around 5pm, set up with our tents, and got fed. Conic Hill is a stroll to get up and down on both sides and a great place to go wild camping, although a bit busy so it's best to pitch up late and leave early. We had strong wind as soon as we got around the 250m mark and it was windy all night and we also woke up to some frost. Personally, this is the best spot to go for a camp at Loch Lomond as the views were just breath taking. There was some great hiking/backpacking to be had on this route and Scotland, UK just never disappoints.
