    Another one for the wall of One of a Kind! Nice retro fit on those tuners... Always nice when the work pays off big! Great job Mike!

    Very cool. You turned that thing into a beautiful guitar, Mike. That thing outta be a rock n' roll machine now. Alanna Myles... eat your heart out. You may have a new guitar player!

    You have more patience than i would have to turn a poor guitar into a good one.
    As soon as i see those cheap style of tuners, i avoid buying a guitar with them.
    Fitting good quality modern tuners leaves a row of unsightly holes to try and fill.
    I admire your tenacity with this guitar.

      Thanks Allan. I also take a look at types of tuners on guitars before I buy them. I make sure that if I need to replace them I'm able to get better quality ones with the same footprint so I don't have the whole problem. So far that has worked for me. Thanks for checking in and supporting my channel

    Just finished all 4 of this Kramer (goofball!) series. Sure, there were problems, but the initial investment of $150 CAD made this project doable and you sure did it. Really nice work, Mike! 🎸 (Even the emoji has a red headstock!)

    Great work Mike! I'm going to order the same tuners and swap out the ones that came with the Kramer I bought too. Enjoy the Axe!

    Hello! Really liked the series, thanks for sharing. I bought one of those recently and had it set up, changed the strings, put on a tortoise pickguard. Really made a diference. Noticed the wood inside is really light, the color resembles basswood. Do you know if it is really mahogany?

    • @2bikemikesguitartopics145
      @2bikemikesguitartopics145  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I doubt it's mahogany. Mahogany is usually darker and a bit redish. Glad you liked it. The tuners are shit but after my fix they're ok. I just got an epiphone les paul special ll and has the same shit tuners and it cost twice as much as the kramer. Hope you subscribed and are public. I'm getting close to my 1000th subscription and there will be one of my modded guitars given to one of you. Take a chance, you never know.

      There you go. Thanks for subscribing. I got the notification so you must have turned on public in your profile. Make sure the little bell is turned on to ringing so you'll get all notifications coming up. There are several guitars in the pipeline going forward and there's plenty to watch going backwards. I don't know if your interest is in just my guitar luthier work alone or do you also enjoy my offerings of certain musical instrumentals of songs I have loved from my younger years. Welcome aboard.

    I am buying a Kramer Focus and I want to change the Volume knobs to Knobs similar to Fender knobs. Do you know if they will fit? I would like to know before I order some. Thank you.

      You need to get metric knobs, or sometimes listed as for import guitars. Many choices on Amazon

    What kind of tuners did you replace the stock tuners with?

    • @2bikemikesguitartopics145
      @2bikemikesguitartopics145  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Todd I fixed the original style. I didn't add this to the playlist, but I did now. I wanted to keep the back of the headstock neat without holes showing or plugged.

      @@2bikemikesguitartopics145 Yeah, I found the video and watched it last night. Awesome job. I want locking tuners and I think Wilkinson makes a ser of vintage style locking one.
