The men on the beach, I think that they were laughing at your name, because it could mean The F word in Arabic. If you come to Jerusalem tell me. Goodluck
Go to Geatta grotto it’s amazing , and to Baalbeck there u will find the Baalbeck castle it’s one of the oldest ones in the world and it was made by the romans long long years ago and I am happy u like it over here 😘❤️
LiLnaserXXL O u must be ashamed of yourself ... just laughing at people for their nationality.. ur one of the reason the world is still not improving and the societies are still facing problems... i'm originally American too but idc i love lebanon and will always do. Peace out man, chill. Stop hating people for what they are ...
So friendly!! Beirut (and Lebanon) was famous decades ago as a resort city, and so many people used to go there for the beaches (I’m writing about the 1940s, 50s, 60s). Before the 70s and 80s it was a really happening vacation place, is what I’ve read. War and conflict changes things, doesn’t it. I’m so glad Lebanon is catching up once again with its former self, not unlike the former Yugoslavia, huh (easier to tap that on my phone rather than the names of five countries). Okay, time to finish breakfast here and go to work - thank you for these amazing glimpses into Lebanon!! 😊👍🏼✌🏼
+Karin B Yes Karin, indeed, very interesting how conflict tears apart a reputation and an economy for decades. Thanks for the comment and have a nice day at work! 🙏
Karin B when christians were ruling lebanon they made it as heaven but unfortunately during and after war Palestinians and Syrians kinda destroyed it..and now u can tell the difference between Christians cities that are clean and tidy and the other regions
Yup,it was a famous country, until it came up to its top. The best arab country in the middle east, so countries around it brainwashed the people to make a civil war. the war started in 1975, and ended in 1990. Pretty depressing tbh.
SuperSam8801 I’m lebanese myself and I can assure you a lot of us don’t like it when you’d think of us as part of the arab countries (I mean of course thats what most people think but its okay since you dont know that). So actually we’re descendants of the phoenicians. And also statistics say that later on there will be more muslims than christians in lebanon. plus we have a lot and I say a LOT of political issues and the country is not super safe. You could actually be surprised of things that happen around here. i know im giving a bad image of my country but thats the truth and so I hope things could get better in the future ( Im only 13 tho so...) but anyways we have some really good things in our country and thats what we should focus on. Maybe my comment has nothing to do with yours but I just felt like saying this :)
WOW what an excellent vlog, thanks for this amazing upload. My parents are from European origins but have lived in Lebanon back in the 60s and early 70s before they moved to US and yes my parents are Jews and have lived in Lebanon side by side with Christians and Muslims. They never had problems there, their neighbours were very friendly and actually helped them a lot (as in protection) when Israel invaded Lebanon in the early mid 70 I guess till they moved to the US. Lebanese are educated people and the majorities are trilingual or at least bilingual. Here in the US we have also few Lebanese family friends (Christians and Muslims) and also are successful, educated and simply top people. I love Lebanon and its people, it is sad what happened to this beautiful country but look at them - love and success is in their DNA and I wish them all the best. Peace and Love to all Lebanese.
I'm sorry "Marckey" you feel this way, it's seems that the indoctrination you have received during your childhood (I assume you still are) has blinded your intelligent or at least your social communication skills. I totally understand the way you feel though, but would you consider all Muslims as bad people? No! Well, if you do - I don't! The same goes with the Jews! NOT every Jew is a Zionist and NOT every Zionist is a Jew! Have you thought before you let your indoctrination talk; why my parents never been to Israel and why I don't live in Israel? I'm sure you haven't thought of that too since you're indoctrinated to only hate rather than rationalize (I understand that though) - the answer is simple; because there are many Jews don't believe that Israel is a legal/lawful settlement or state! Thus, we don't live there nor visit it, and that also answers the question of why we left to the United States as many Lebanese did during the war in Lebanon. If you believe that war was based on Jewish/Christian/Muslim etc. reasons - I guess you better educate yourself rather than indoctrinate yourself. Once again, I'm sorry you feel this way and I'm sorry if I was personally at any fault in destroying Lebanon if that's what you believe. I hope you forgive me if you really believe I was personally at fault. P.s. sincerely I still wish lots peace and love to you too as well as to everyone who still thinks like you.
@ Marckey - instead of trolling around with your hateful comments which only represent you, why don't go and learn some history. I'm Lebanese and I totally agree with Dr. Brostien. Your hateful and low class comment don't represent us as Lebanese people. We live in only 10,452 km2 and we have 18 different religions and sects in Lebanon including Jewish people for 100s of years. We are the only nation in the world that can live with such diversity and stay sane. We are a symbol of tolerance and hospitality. We love and welcome everyone regardless of their religious or background. And for you Marckey or whatever your real name is, you need to take a breath before you talk and you're only making a fool out of yourself.
Faisal Tuber Hd I spent two weeks in lebanon in October and went back for new years eve.. Lebanon is very safe, friendly locals, amazing sights, awesome country.
@Tima You got instragram? I'm from Lebanon and your words are so much more important than you think they are, please message me an_hyk or whatever you use just tell me. Nick also you can contact me for any help in North Lebanon :) Good Job!
I am Lebanese, and I left Lebanon because of lack of opportunity, corruption, wars, political instability ... you name it. But I only left hoping to come back and create opportunities and help develop my country, and so did millions of Lebanese expatriates all over the world. The Lebanese economy is largely dependent on the huge influx of money coming from Lebanese expatriates. Lebanese people love their country no matter what. This is true love.
m jack uhhh no he’s not joking, it’s true it’s been called Switzerland of the east. U haven’t been there and u weren’t there so sit down. Don’t be one of those irrelevant people who only watch the news seriously
i dont know even in this world how people judge a book by its cover. Keep it up Nick. You are doing a great job removing these wrong judges. and always love from Bangladesh.
Man your videos of Lebanon really show how gorgeous and safe it really is. The pearl and Paris of the Middle East. Keep them coming, Lebanon only gets nicer and surprises you the more you travel in it
Best country in the world and very underrated! Thanks for showing the beauty of lebanon ! Amazing videos ! Lebanon loves you nick ! I hope you enjoyed your time here ! And you’re always welcome ! Love u 🇱🇧❤️
Ultra AD Im Lebanese Lebanon used to be the cleanest country but now its not I love Lebanon but its incredibly hard to survive gun shots the shoot in the air
This video randomly popped up on my feed and I just want to say I didn’t know about your channel but I think it’s good quality, and very professional. The selection of music and picture really made it seem like you delved deeper into the culture than other tourists would. In my own travels, I can’t say I’ve approached being a tourist in any way similarly to the way you have but your vlog gave me insight Into what could be done to get the most out of a place. Part of the reason why I was drawn to the title is because I’m lebanese and as such, I want to thank you doubly for posting this video
I'm so glad that you loved Lebanon. It is a special country as you said, but as a lebanese, I can tell that it would be one of the best places in the world if it had a better government. Unfortunately life is so messy there... Anyway nice to meet you Nick! :)
I remember growing up in Lebanon during the war in the 80s and early 90s , my dad would take me to what used to be downtown (where east beirut and west beirut met) and there was bullet holes and rubble everywhere , he would tell me stories about the streets we were on and how beautiful they used to be , pointing out places where he used to go clubbing or dinning with my mom before i was born , he used to tell me beirut is more beautiful than Paris and Zurich because he's been to those cities , his eyes watered and he had a hard time watching it destroyed , we left Lebanon in 1992 and he passed away before he had a chance to go back and see it rebuilt , thanks for this video , i felt my dad sitting beside me watching it with a smile ,
Hello everyone! I’m lebanese and i love my country! You can’t imagine how amazing it is to be part of this country and i love every single place of it❤️
I am Lebanese and I am so happy u made this video because lots of people underestimate my country and I recomand for you to go to the mountains and hike cuz this country has beautiful nature
The words "underrated" and "very safe" gained you a new Lebanese subscriber. Very glad you liked the country. We need more people like you in the east to enlighten some of the people of the west on how great Lebanon is and how different it is than what they hold as previous thoughts. Thank you
I just found this video and it's made me miss Lebanon so much. I'm a first generation Canadian to Lebanese parents. I've been to Lebanon twice as a child and once as an adult. It is a captivating country and people. Every time I went there I actually considered moving there. Such a magical place. I love how surprised you are. A genuine reaction to a very misunderstood place.
On behalf of all Lebanese, i thank you sir for making such an awesome video about our beautiful Byblos. If you need any tip about where to go in Lebanon, there are lots and lots of amazing places and wonders you could see (one of them barely made it in actual world wonders and that is Jeita Grotto).
Born in Australia to Lebanese migrants and married to a Kiwi and never been to Lebanon at the age of 60! I am going to plan my trip asap! Thank you for the positive view you gave of Lebanon as you never ever hear it in our media.
4:00 That's the most lebanese thing in the entire video. Lebanese guys: "What's your name?" - Traveller: "Nick", Lebanese guys altogether: "hahaha, come here, we love you anyway, we're gonna 'nick' today, hahaha " ... "nick" sounds like "fuck" in lebanese dialect.
By the way, the people in 4:40 said "مش عم نفهم شي" it means that they are not understanding anything 😂😂 It seems that they have learnt French not English
Me being born a Canadian Lebanese it was always different going back to Lebanon. I always didn’t want to go (being a stubborn little kid) but every time I’ve gone I can say It was a time to remember. Some of the best foods, views, parties, and he said It himself, some of the nicest people you will ever meet. you can’t go down the road without someone inviting you in for tea! Come visit, we love everyone here.
wow, I am glad you chose fairouz song as background music @3:04 Fairouz is a lebanese legend and an iconic symbol of my country. She sings for love and peace and most of her songs are super famous all over the Arab world and beyond.
As an American of Lebanese descent I really enjoyed your video! The Lebanese people are legendary for their friendliness and genuine hospitality. "Sit! Eat! Have some more!"
When you played fairouz I got goosebumps. Good choice of music. Be sure to come again to Lebanon! I haven't seen any of your videos but this just popped in my recommendations and only 3 mins in you seem to enjoy your visit here. So visit us again some time!
My wife used to tell me that i had this special power that made people want to come up and talk with me no matter where we were and i used to tell her that people can read you and know if your approachable or not just by your body language and vibe..Nick is in his own league when its comes to it..he is so outgoing and friendly in any situation..He is the perfect guy to be making these videos..great job...
Hope you had fun here in Lebanon 😍🇱🇧 really lovely video you saw our real spirit and face hopefully you’ll come back here and explore more places ... ❤️
Really great video thanks a lot for sharing it. I was born there but I lived in Europe like most of my life. when I travel back to Lebanon my friends be like no no no on coming along now I can show them your video and maybe they would change there mind haha
Glad you liked Lebanon ! Next time you plan a trip to Beirut/ Baalbeck cities, you are welcome 👊 Lol you did better work than ministry of tourism, they should sponsor your work 😅
I just came back from my first trip to Lebanon and it won't be my last - I was blown away by the place - absolutely loved every minute of it.... and the food... Oh!

The men on the beach, I think that they were laughing at your name, because it could mean The F word in Arabic.
If you come to Jerusalem tell me.

Haha, that is unfortunate for me then, I guess!
Go to Geatta grotto it’s amazing , and to Baalbeck there u will find the Baalbeck castle it’s one of the oldest ones in the world and it was made by the romans long long years ago and I am happy u like it over here 😘❤️

Charbel krayem THANK GOD I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAUGHT IT
I'm not arabic, but I got the joke right away. Nike T shirts were always very popular in arabic countries :-)
I don't need google translate. I know very well what nique stands for, thank you very much. Offended ? You got the wrong type here.
You don't seem to be very sophisticated. Try saying it in french.
Nike means in dialectal arabic '' Fuck "
Thank you for showing the true light of Lebanon!

HemaG Actually this week is filler week
I think it will be next week
cant wait
HemaG REALLY? OMG YAY
Thank you for the positive view you gave of Lebanon as you never ever hear it in our media.
so you havent been to the best country on earth yet?
Thanks for spreading good vibes about my country
Nik in arabic means "fuck" that's why they laugh btw😂
4:00 That's the most lebanese thing in the entire video. Lebanese guys: "What's your name?" - Traveller: "Nick", Lebanese guys altogether: "hahaha, come here, we love you anyway, we're gonna 'nick' today, hahaha " ... "nick" sounds like "fuck" in lebanese dialect.
I died laughing at this part.
Sorry Nick, we do loved you anyway
By the way, the people in 4:40 said "مش عم نفهم شي" it means that they are not understanding anything 😂😂 It seems that they have learnt French not English
Oh my😍😍 so glad you liked Lebanon!! Greetings🇱🇧🇱🇧
Thanks, Jad. Thought you would like it!
Jad Mcdad - Always think of good food and Fairouz when I think of Lebanon ! Hope to get there one day .

I am from Lebanon ! Thank you so much for letting people know how Lebanon is great and has to many friendly people in there 😀😀😄
As an American of Lebanese descent I really enjoyed your video! The Lebanese people are legendary for their friendliness and genuine hospitality. "Sit! Eat! Have some more!"
At 3:59 he asked him for his name he said "nick" and technically "nick" in lebanese means "fuck" xD that's why they laughed
When you played fairouz I got goosebumps. Good choice of music. Be sure to come again to Lebanon! I haven't seen any of your videos but this just popped in my recommendations and only 3 mins in you seem to enjoy your visit here. So visit us again some time!
