He’s a good guy and talks a lot of sense. I live on the Isle of Man so I’ve seen a bit of the TT. A few years ago it was a rainy day for the super bike or senior race. Some of the riders wanted to go racing in the rain but John didn’t. When asked by the media he said “You get some bold riders, you get some old riders. But you don’t get many old bold riders”. Quality!
As an America watching from of all places, Wichita Ks; I really admire this man. I know most the names of the top tier riders, somehow I find him the one who I would most likely want to be around. Always cheerful and amazingly humble. I would feel totally comfortable sitting with him over a nice dinner. I feel like I could converse with him for hours and never be made to feel out of place. I’m sure he and I could share plenty of stories about motocross. It was a huge passion of mine for a good number of years. Now days I ride a sportbike at the crazy age of 63.
He's been quoted as saying he learned his approach to the TT from Joey when he was his teammate at Vimto Honda. (When Joey won his third triple aged 49) Joey followed the old endurance racing adage of 'win at the slowest possible speed'
Meet John twice at oulton park , what a nice guy and my little boys idols him and he was a bit star struck when he meet him, legend in his own right, ride safe
Sick. I love watching John being interviewed because he's always so into it and genuine. It doesn't look like it's a chore to him. And he gives great insights.
Very nice moment to share about TT roadtrack with mister TT himself, as always humble, kind & friendly John Mc Guinness! Wish him all the best and a fully recovery after serious injuries he sustained at late NW200.
Very cool too hear this from the MAN himself... McPint is such a laid back gentleman and the skills of a motorcycle Road Racer GOD..he is very humble and I would love to have 10 minutes of his time.. Thanks for this Bennetts Bike
God bless John...i got a Autograph from him at 6.6.2013 in his book and shake his hand...then he won the Senior TT 2013...great man...all the best for John from Udo
if they still did the 125cc TT (a shame that they got rid of it, especially now where it could be a great proving ground and advertising for Asian companies where 125 and 250cc bike make up the majority of bikes) he could ride those because his leg should be could enough for that by then. But on the big bikes, no chance,

All the best to these Road Racers !
Absolutely brilliant listening to him. No massive ego he respects the superbike and the risky road race of iom tt. Total respect for that man. Brave as a lion
I don’t think Mr.McGuinness even knows how special he is to so many people. He is a super human and so nice,he waved at me once (or probably someone behind me..lol) I felt ten feet tall all day.I almost wish he would retire on top, because it would kill me if something happened to him,I probably shouldn’t say that,so I won’t.I do pray for him to be safe, all of them as far as that goes.God bless all of them🙏🏻
John is another Joey in a different format. These chaps are all brave or have a screw missing one or the other but eitherway we mere mortals must and i mean must respect them. I just love them because they remind me of my youth when a few mates would meet up in a shed drink smoke talk bikes where the smooth urchents went clubing it and got the girls we just lost out but did we ?? I think not we had a bloody great time inosent and humble all the way.. Stay safe John and when its time to stop just do it don't worry fella we will still remember you as a racer and still love ya !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darren Murphy you just tried actually! If so I double dare you to try to be halfway of any of these drives as fast ! Your shit got dry into your asshole and thinking of yourself “no different” !? If you’re ordinary “no different” from those actually who achieved nothing then you’re good ! You no different !

Bueno gracias por el video. Este señor es otra leyenda es verdad. Lo que a mi me gustaría es saber si es posible hacer un video en honor a todos los fallecidos en el TT. MUCHAS GRACIAS.
Paying close attention, it’s obvious he has every inch of the track memorized by heart....like he knows the exact number of up and down bumps the tires go through...awesome!
I have always wondered what happens to the tear-offs. If they are left behind on the track what would happen when the guy behind you runs over it and loses grip?
it's taking it to the Edge jim and not falling off . you know its gonna hurt if you fall off , but what a total Rush when you Nail it ! there is no other feeling i can explain ! no drug or alcohol can do that for the ones that chase the extreme We all know the game :)
I would love to see Jonh on a motogp in a circuit. So diferents kind of riding and skils. I sure he did it, but i would like to see it. Not as a chalenge, just for the joy of maching him doing it.
Practice week will be easier than race week and your best bet is to get there in plenty of time and head towards the bottom of Bray Hill from the outside of the circuit. Anywhere from the bottom third down is ideal and there'll be signage and maybe some lovely locals who'll open their houses/gardens for you. Enjoy!
Any other circuits anywhere that are fast and flowing like this if you play the game for sure this circuit is awesome 😎😎😎 more like this should be made this is how circuit should be
For the tt riders out there instead of putting fresh tyre on before tt put 5 mile or so on them tyres before tt then take it back off its going to mean you can get straight on it a lot safer that having it completely fresh tyre 👍👍👍👍👍👍
11:22 whaaat?? that section tucked in??? holy shit the angle they take for that section is not small. you need strong core to throw the bike right to left tucked in. unreal.
Yeah I was just gonna ask john o if he has to keep a good strong muscle on the beast o know one thousand is super fast, but this kinda of answered the question for john but on average from the video and front fender camera u can the front dance a bit and that's the front I would think the back is working more times when u see the front dance,I was curious on whole 37 miles is it more of strong hold on bike I know thousand u said I harder to change direction, probably due to engine inertia, just wondering, this video kinda answered it ,and how old were u first time you raced at the TT,u have won 23 times....

I'm a base jumper and that's a common saying in the community too, very true
How does it feel to live on the Isle of Man ?
I’ve heard that quote about fighter pilots.
@@veedee4860 The origin of the saying
So did he end up racing that day?
I love listening to him talk about the technicalities and his perspective. He’s a juggernaut with super human senses! 👍👍
Saw him in a interview once talking about how he could smell the wet
I like that John talks about how scary parts of the track are! Not many riders speak of fear
yeah but hes like yeah this is scary but im like every other bike rider too many loose screws
Nothing better than hearing the voice of the humble master

Glad you're alive John.
Sean Caceres LOL. True!
great guy john, straight talker...none of the modern media trained spiel.could listen to him all day.
Love the way he describes the handling of the bike and how it feels underneath him on the differwnt sections.

mcguinness is too big for a 600, never mind a 125cc bike.
Absolute respect. So badass
How many people get asked by John McGuinness to take the Fireblades out for a spin? Great rider and great man.
What an experience to take a ride with John, truly bucket list material
Great champ and down to earth. No sugar coat or ego going on.
Met John once at Knockhill for the BSB and he couldn’t have been a more down to earth, genuinely nice bloke!
John explains things so well. Love listening to his take on these sections.
He's a pleasure to learn from, right?! Glad you enjoyed. Cheers, Michael

Outstanding video from the "Man" himself John McGuiness. It's vids like this that make the TT an even more enjoyable experience.
Very nice and positive way to talk about a racer and the TT! Great video!
You can see he has a healthy amount of fear in the TT course, which is needed to survive it.
fear is a good thing.....it breeds respect, lose that and lose your life

I have always wondered what happens to the tear-offs. If they are left behind on the track what would happen when the guy behind you runs over it and loses grip?
I imagine they only have time to let go of the bars and tear them off on the straights where grip is less crucial anyway.

I love his honesty. Been there many times but admits he is nervous and some curves are scary. Not acting like a macho meathead.
I suppose that's what makes him a champ, he uses that fear to drive top performance.
