I have a 2013 135i with a n55 engine, ran with low oil pressure due to an oil leak, after replacing the oil and repairing the hose, the car gives me an intake cam stuck code, rough idle, any thoughts or recommendations?
@Mechanic @ Nockolds Thank you for the reply and feedback, these look like a nightmare engine, I'll have to get the cam holding tool and remove the hub, if you where to do a new chain on this do you remove the engine ?
we do fix the problem without buying any spare part
really !!!But how do it !?
How???

Did the code appear before or after the repair?
How are you able to move the camshaft independently without the VANOS unit moving? Don’t they move together?
They have some play so that the VANOS can play with the timing according to what the engine needs given the RPM / speed and other factors.
because the Vanos boat is lose
Hi, what was the issue with this ? I've got the same fault code in work on a bmw 1series b38
Exhaust vanos jammed, it needs to be replaced mechanically stuck or jammed internally.
@@swh1203 Do you mean the actual cam sprockets ( vanos hubs) ??
@@phillwilliams3399 You need to open and see first but most likely, it is known for common issue on this model.

@@phillwilliams3399Yeah, this engine has a lot of issue, i recommend to fully check, if worth to fix then fix otherwise...
Hello ! What fault code is for this ?
p0014 is for exhaust stuck
I have this code and says "camshaft position". Some mechanics say it should be sensor or worst case timing chain.

I have the same issue like yours what part need to be replaced
Check cam hears and timing chains, if good then just replace both vanos and solenoids should fix.
