  • The art nouveau of Brussels had been neglected for a long time. Ten years ago, Sir Graham Watson bought the former home of architect Victor Taelemans, then a dilapidated building.

Good that there are people who take good care of gorgeous houses like that.
    Art nouveau is truly special.

We recently passed by and admired this house, thank you (and the owner) for allowing us to have a glimpse of what it is like inside. Stunning!

I love to see someone living in a house like this and seemingly being properly deserving of it.

Really enjoyed the tour through your gorgeous home. I love the way you have felt the viewer welcome and explained all you do with warmth and obvious love of your home. Thank you very much, I bet social occasions there are wonderful ❤

Thank you for pointing that out! There was a problem with the export, but we couldn't fix the audio for this episode. The other 'House of the Architect' videos should be fine!

Would you like to live in a former brothel? I don't. I love art nouveau. However he mixed modern furniture with the beautiful architecture. He should have at least chosen furniture with less straight lines and right angles. Art nouveau was all about unique festures.
