Half life is like the "Can it run DOOM" version of game mechanics.
I never noticed the awesome detail in the background of their cams, it's actually what's behind them and not some pre recorded run on the track
Old games are best games
Older games may not be the best in overall visuals but their level of details unparalleled
Older games are definitely way better than new ones. Only thing new games do better are graphics and they are like the least important part of any game
Older games stick for longer as they had something not done in the game industry back then, graphics were ok, their art direction is timeless.
Realized it just now, more than a decade later, that the boss face cams are actually rendered in real time, not a pre-recorded reactions.
