God bless us all !
From the crew of Dodge Buoy
I love when the salties are enthusiastic, thanks Captain!
Nice master salute which we don’t hear from salties too often. Great video and still photos. 😊
Like that radio traffic.
So exciting the first salty of 2023 🎉
Yeah, and it is still cold in Duluth. Greetings from NWGermany : - )
@@michaelborgelt1600 Greetings to you from the Missouri Ozarks! 🖐
The live cam soothes me for some reason
I totally get that.
Me too
Yay! So excited for them to be coming in again!!
We’re excited that you’re so excited!
Whoa! A master salute from a saltie!
Federal is a Canadian company. It's vessels are all seaway ready.
Welcome for the 2023 for the first Saltie to the harbor channel....
I just learned what a "Saltie" is. How cool!!
Always impressed by the spectators who come out. Any time of the day or night in any weather.
These guys on the radios sound very professional. I can’t keep up with their radio talk lol.
Love it !!!!
I see crew members waving! I don’t see much of that. And I love hearing the captains say, “security.”
Referencing a long distance call commercial from the past, Duluth Harbor Cam, "it's the next best thing to being there."
The Dart's horn sounds sort of forlorn ... love the echo.
The Federal Dart appeared to be rocking from side to side just before the Paul Tregurtha came out. Did it get stuck in the ice for a time?
By the way, I saw three men up on the light house cam today. It shows it’s fenced off....
Better call the police….
@@TheMainLead Noticed today April 1 that there were men putting up signs on the fence near lighthouse. Hopefully people can read.....And recently saw someone trying to get into the tugboat on display. BTW I live nowhere near Minnesota.
Woooo! Oh, what's a "saltie"?
It's a a ship that doesn't often come to the lakes but it's a ocean liner
@@jacob_madman I suspected as much. Thank you. Very cool.
Ocean going vessel!
@@DuluthHarborCam1 correct idk much about ships but I try and answer questions
@@jarodcrazyindian your welcome and thanks
Did the announcer say unloading cement from Turkey?
I think so
looks like it was empty.riding pretty high to be loaded
I think they said she’s bringing in cement from Turkey if I heard her right.
Yeah they’re loaded, they just can’t come in 100% loaded with a saltie because of the rivers down the lakes, they run a bit deeper than lakers. So they partially unload/load in Montreal while the other 80-90% is done here. If you think that’s high out of the water, just wait until she leaves assuming she doesn’t load again!
@@jonathanellsworth21 that makes sense.ty
Why do I always wave
Great, looks like Chinese have come for the ore. Thanks Joe.....
C'est toujours un plaisir de voir la navigation reprendre dans les grands lacs...( un " ship lover " from France )
